AD Shaco it's a risckier version of AP, as you need to engage to put your damage in, so I recommend this strategies only if you used to Shaco damage and if you about Macro as you'll become a 2° jungler.


Pretty simple, you'll provide insane vision, set-up for objectives, and engage in fights. Always try to track your enemy jungler movements, deep warding with your Deceive, this will be essential in any objectives and fights. If your enemy laners are too advanced, and everything is off cooldown, you absolute destroy them. You won't have gold as much as roaming strategy so try to score the minimum amount of Kills to stay relevant in game.


You'll make your enemies lifes HELL as you'll camp your enemy mid and jungler. Try to put fear in their hearts, all you need to do is bait them, stay on a bush for prolongated times, use your ult to fake your position, zone your enemies with boxes and you'll make them regret playing against you. Try to create the max amount of safe-zones to your ADC. Make your plays work as fast as possible so you can get back in your lane and get EXP and some procs of your item. If you're skilled enough you can even invade and kill their jungler.
Summoners Spells
Exhaust is extremely good to kill your enemies damage, extra points if their composition has alot of attack speed characters.

Ignite gives you kill preassure, and it's preatty good against lifesteal champions. Removes the urge to build anti-healing items.

Ghost extreme roam potential and has insane synergy with your Deceive for positioning and Duskblade of Draktharr's passive, because when you score a takedown, Ghost duration is increased.

Teleport good alternative to Ghost as it gives global preassure and if you need you can teleport while in Deceive.


Hail of blades:

Is strong in any build you choose, because it provides extreme burst, but it doesn't scale through the game, meaning it's relevant only early-mid game.


Gives you insane burst power and scale through the game, but a little difficult to proc without Berserker's Greaves, Ironspike Whip or some spell/ability.


First line you can use Cheap Shot or Sudden Impact, both have insane synergy with Shaco, so it's totally personal prefference. Zombie Ward it's extremely strong as you negate and replace vision, while gaining AD, also stronger higher the Elo. Eyeball Collection works pretty well if your focus is roaming. Relentless Hunter provides mobility for better positioning and roam. Treasure Hunter is mandatory on roam build as your build cost are too high.



Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm will make you scale through the entire game. Waterwalking it's a nice alternative to have some roam potential.


Transcendence gives you haste and lowers 20% of your cooldowns when you takedown an enemy, which makes you extremely slippery. Waterwalking it's your bread and butter, you go out and return to your lane faster, also making you stronger in river.
Starting Item

Spectral Sickle X Steel Shoulderguards

Spectral Sickle is a better option, as you don't need to expose yourself to proc it's passive, it provides 25-100% mana regen and 5-20 AD, basically the AD counterpart of Spellthief's Edge. Steel Shoulderguards provide less AD and health regen, inferior in every aspect to Shaco gameplay.


Ionian boots of lucidity:

Cheap, provides ability and spell haste, strong item as your skills have high cooldowns and you'll be able to use your spells sooner.

Berserker's greaves:

They provide 35% attack speed which is huge excetial for roaming, as you need to kill anything in your way as fast as possible to return to bot.


Serpent's fang:

Great item against enchanters like Lulu or Janna or if shield is a big problem to kill that fed Yone, Yasuo, Volibear, etc.

Edge of night:

Good item agains Twisted Fate or any other global skill.

Mal of mawmortius:

Makes your survive burts of AP champions.


Chempunk chainsword:

Recommend doing it only if there are 3 or more champions with healing or lifesteal.

Randuin's omen:

Op against attack speed and crit champions.

Death's dance:

Make you tankier and better in fights as you get some sustain when scoring a takedown.

Wit's end:

Makes you tankier against AP champions, while getting tons of damage.


Great against tank compositions.


Mortal reminder:

Recommend doing it only if there are 3 or more champions with healing or lifesteal.

Essence Reaver:

It has insane synergy with Shaco as it procs when you use Deceive, gives AD and crit, besides it restores some mana.

Lord Dominik's regards:

Make it if your enemies build armour items, as you'll penetrate and deal up to 15% extra damage.
There are Shaco special jump locations that make you Deceive go much further than it normaly does. Here's a video made by Desperate Shaco which he shows how to excecute them.

Patch 12.12/12b - AD got more viable as your poke with E scaled better and your burst got stronger.
