Hi i'm Karmachou, today build is Tahm kench, i used to play him since s12 in the toplane and the jungle (for fun) so i will tell you everything I learn about this big boi !
This guide was my first one, i created it for a friend who wanted to play tham kench support but i decided one day to publish my work.

- a flash allways usefull to escape or saving your ADC with your R, ignite is usefull if they have healing or you just need DPS / exhaust is usefull to slow, and to reduce damage from enemies

- running fast for better gank, simple isn't it ?

- TOP -

- this item give an infinite hp scaling, its acctually the best item on tahm kench nowadays. It give also lot of dmg and regeneration.

- the sunfire is really great for clearing and damaging enemies, more hp you have more the sunfire deal dmg that's why heartsteel + sunfire is a really good combo

- infinite AP scaling item, more hp you have more AP you get !

- This item is one of the best on AP tank like tahm kench or cho'gath, it provide 25 magic pen and give you something like 105 magic resist and its way cheaper than force of the nature !

- I think gargoyle is underrated, this item give a lot of resistance and is active scale with your hp so you can get a monstrous shield.

- SITUATIONAL -

- reduces the damage of a chosen enemy

- the best way to split ! it give you all you need, 7500po of stats like hp, armor or even MR. (ad is also great on tham kench because you need to AA a lot so it's worth trust me

- thornmail is a good item agains AA champ, it reduce their healing and damage them every hit

- reduce crit damages

- if the enemy team have a lot of AP

- SUPPORT -

- cheap, make you tanky and able to shield your mates

- usefull to protect your AD carry

- this item is just insane, it give you a lot of stats and make you able to place many pinkward in the same time

- Tahm Kench puts the heft of his immense body behind his attacks, gaining extra damage based on his total health. Damaging enemy champions builds stacks of An Acquired Taste. At three stacks, he can use Devour on an enemy champion.

- Tahm Kench lashes out with his tongue, damaging and slowing the first unit hit and healing himself if he strikes an enemy champion. Applies a stack of An Acquired Taste to enemy champions. If the champion already has 3 stacks of An Acquired Taste, they are stunned and the stacks are consumed.

- Dive down and then re-appear at target location, damaging and knocking up all enemies in an area.

- Passive: Tahm Kench stores a percent of the damage he takes and heals based on it while out of combat. Active: Convert all stored damage into a temporary shield.

- Tahm Kench devours a champion for a few seconds, dealing magic damage if they are an enemy, or shielding them if they are an ally.

- TOP -

pre 6 tahm kench is a poke champion with really good trad due to is Q and E.
When you got your 6 you can try to get a kill if you devour the enemy and you drop him under your tower (dont try if the enemy is Olaf).
Another powerspike is your heartsteel, with this item you're now a scaling machine more the time passes more you get stronger so try to get many stack you can ! with demolish and enought stacks you can even one shot towers !

-SUPPORT-

tahm kench support is very weak as long as you dont have your R. pre 6 you have some long cooldown that make you unable to stun lock the enemy adc or his supp. Then, when you hit lvl 6, you have 2 choices : you can devour the enemy so it will allow to your jungle to come (dont forgot to tell him about that) or you can devour an ally to save him from death. Remember you're a tank, dont be scared to engage with your W, if the enemies a stacked somewhere tell your mate to follow you, hide and bump them all !

-JUNGLE-

well tahm kench jungle is not the better choice. he has very bad clear but a great gank potential. so there is the plan : lvl 3 gank
then buy bami's cinder for a better clear now you try to get your lvl 6 by clearing or ganking. once lvl 6 you can just R an enemy and secure a free kill to feed all your mates. however keep in mind you're way less tankier than a tahm top so teamfighting is not the best choice.

Tahm kench is a really good and fun champ, easy to learn you can play him on any lane with any stuff without problem.
He's not team dependant so you dont need to play him with friends that make him really pleasant to play moreover even if you felt beind Tahm kench is note useless ! you can still split push or defend your adc and help him to carry your team !
