Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
She is very powerful burst damage, but is easy because she is heavy mana reliant, so just dodge her spells and poke her down with your "E". Until she is low on health and no mana then Q + R + E + Ravenous Hydra combo to kill her.
Cho'Gath
Cho'Gath is an easy champion. All you have to do is dodge his rupture, which might mean buying boots first. After that you do the same poke until his life is low and then all in him and avoid his ult.
Darius
Fizz
Fizz is a very difficult champion to play agaist he has high burst damage and hard to target and trade with him and come out positive. This will be a farm until he decides to roam and that's when you push hard and win lane and the game once he joins the team fight. Just don't feed him with deaths, ping when he is MIA and the game will go easily.
Fiora
She will always out damage you early and mid game. Bait her into turret and farm passively. When her lunge is down punish her and back off.
Gangplank
Gangplank is easy as long as you poke him and stay out of his barrels. He only has his parley to poke you and that is his main ability to last hit minions. Also making him use his Parley on you and no last hitting minions will make him lose mana quickly making him vulnerable after you poke him and gain your life back.
Dr. Mundo
Dodge his cleavers and constantly poke him to keep his health down, he is very strong compared to aatrox 1v1 so don't get overconfident because he is playing passively it is most likely a trap, and just farm and constantly poke him to keep his CS low.
Garen
Garen is one of the easiest champions to counter with this guide. His passive that gains him life will be put on halt for 8 seconds after damaged by a champion. So constantly poke garen with your "E" and last hit minions with your auto attack or use your "E" to hit garen and minions in-between the two champions. If he spins and come to you it is easy to e him and he cant catch you. Don't let him sit in the bush and gain health "E" the bush. It is easy to push the lane into the tower, but it is actually easier and better for you to keep the wave on your side or even with the river. After a while he will leave your lane or back to base and that is when you push the lane back to the inhibitor.
Gnar
This lane you will need to always keep the river warded as he can jump on you and go MEGA GNAR with the gank and destroy you. Try to constantly poke him and don't get to close with his MEGA GNAR bar is full and he can transform. Only fully engage when his bar is empty. He is another champion that will quickly leave his lane to team fight and that win you will win.
Hecarim
This is an easy lane you will constantly poke him with you "E" and he will be low on mana and have to use his mana just to get any CS. When he uses his ability and the ring that restores his life based on the damage he deals, and once it goes on cool down which has a long cooldown rate continue to poke. This is another champion to keep the wave on your side or even with the river. Don't push to the tower.
Heimerdinger
Heimerdinger is easy champion if you replace heal with smite. Just smite his turrets as soon as he puts them down. Stand behind the minions to avoid his rockets and you will dominate the lane. Don't push minions in to the tower.
Irelia
She can be a difficult champion and can snow ball fast. It will most likely be a farm lane until she leaves to join the team fights.
Jax
You can beat him but you will have to get used to his play style and if he burns his abilities cause he will try to all in you then make him pay and back out before he uses his counter ability and make sure you don't all in him with his ultimate up.
Jayce
Jayce is a difficult opponent because of his poke. dodge his shots by looking at his animation as his weapon will glow when he charges the triple shot, and he will most likely throw down the gate when using the burst shot, and don't all in him unless you absolutely know you can kill him or get out alive because he can close the gap and stun you if you run by switching to your hammer so poke all the time and attack minions when possible to gain your life back.
Kennen
This is simply a farm match. stay away from his ultimate and his charge/stun attacks.
Kha'Zix
Another easy lane, stay away from the bushes when he is in them. Poke him and when he is low health all in him.
Malphite
This is another farm only lane where you stay under your tower, his "Q" is auto lock and you wont be able to dodge and slows you, so play safe and farm under your tower, you will out scale him if you build him properly.
Mordekaiser
This is an easy lane as long as you stay away from your minions until he uses his ability that hits all of them then you go in and farm what you need, and constantly poke him to keep his shield down. Don't go in when he has his ultimate up. If he gets a kill the person will go into ghost form and fight for the enemy team. If you kill MORDE then his ghost dies also.
Nasus
Just like every matchup against nasus you will need help from your jungle. If you get no help from your jungle you will lose the advantage after level 6 and it will become a farm lane.
Olaf
You will not be able to kill him in lane, farm under tower until he leaves to roam, then that's when you will scale higher than him and quicker. Don't worry about falling behind early in cs as you will gain more cs mid and lane game because of your wave clear ability. Just don't feed him early game and only engage if you have a gank with you.
Pantheon
Pantheon is a almost impossible to play against well, as he will poek you down with his spear, and get you under tower poke you with spear and dive you with his shield and kill you under tower. Avoid picking him against pantheon, but you will out scale him into mid and late game, becareful of his stun because early and mid game will be the factor of you winning the trade or not.
Poppy
Poppy is an easy lane to farm from, JUST NEVER TRADE WITH HER. Auto attack minions and when she comes in to try and attack you hit her with your "E" and back away and STAY AWAY FROM WALLS.
Renekton
This is an only farm lane. Stay away from his because of his stun and damage output is greater than yours early game, but you will out scale him.
Rengar
Easy lane just stay away from the bushes, if he has 3 fury up stay away from him until he uses it, and constantly poke him. Only all in him if he is below 3 bars.
Riven
Try to farm the best you can before level 3. Don't ever all in her outside of turret range, and make sure her ultimate is down. Most riven players are very cocky and will try to all in you under your turret, when she is about to all in you under the turret slow her and knock her into the air she may kill you but with your passive up you will come back to life and she will die to turret or be low life enough to chase her down and kill her, making you come out above.
Shen
Shen is an easy opponent to stay ahead lane wise. The early farming phase is one where you slow farm and don't push the wave into the tower. He is decent at last hitting under turret but also as a taunt making you attacking him under tower causing agro from turret onto you and most likely killing you. So just kee the wave even with the river or on your side. When he goes for ultimate, use your "Q" and knock him into the air canceling his ult.
Shyvana
Still gathering information on her.
Singed
Singe is a difficult opponent early game because of his tankyness, Auto attack minions when you can if he comes towards you slow him and back away. If you cant do that poke him and farm with your "E". DONT CHASE HIM. If he is low health and runs let him go and continue farming.
Sion
Avoid taking damage when he punts minions at you. Stay out of his stun and knock up attacks. He has a passive just like you but he does more damage early game. Stay alive and don't feed him and you will out scale him mid and late game.
Swain
Stay away from him and farm, if you deny him kills you will quickly scale past him and be able to kill him with no problem.
Talon
He has high damage out put so play safe and poke until able to all in him.
Teemo
Poke him with your "E" and if he "Q" you then don't auto attack him as it is useless. By the time you reach level 6 you will be able to all in combo him and kill him depending on his skill level. Poking him to half health will make the all in almost a instant kill.
Trundle
Still gathering information on him.
Tryndamere
This will be most likely a farming match. He will try to all in you under turret like riven will. Once he uses his ult, slow him and just run around the turret around until he dies, as he will chase you. You having your passive will make you come out on top.
Volibear
This is a very difficult champion to fight against early and mid game. He will want to roam. Try to stay under your tower, and if he comes at you bait him a bit farther under tower, and knock him up.
Wukong
This is a easy-med difficulty as you will need to stay away from his burst and understand when he uses his decoy and predicting where he is going after he uses his decoy. Stay away from the bushes.
Yasuo
Standard defense against Yasuo, stay away from minions so he cant gap close, avoid being near him when he has his tornado up, and always try to pop his shield that last for 2 seconds.
Yorick
Semi pressure him to make him use his ghoul constantly. You will take some damage, but he will run out of mana quickly then become useless so you can kill him easy or making him return to base and you get free CS. When he uses ghoul back away until his ghoul runs out of health then last hit the ghoul giving you bonus 5 gold.
This is my first guide and may have some faults or things need to be explained in higher depth. Please comment positive or negative to help me with this a future guides. I am currently making a video guide which will be easier to follow and understand.
Spells
Spells
HEAL :
The heal is to add to your sustain and to surprise opponents with extra life on top of the sustain you already have, but more importantly it is used for your teammates who do not have as much sustain as you.
TELEPORT :
- Usually this is used to teleport back into lane or teleporting to gank other lanes. This will not be the use in this play style.
SMITE :
- This is only needed if you are going against an Heimerdinger (Heim) in your lane which then all you would use your smite to instantly smite turrets when Heim deploys them. Making him useless and very easily killed and makes Heim unable to get great CS (creep score)
- EARLY GAME if you need to you can teleport back to lane but try to save it, by making them teleport because you have life-steal built in and no need for mana. So after the enemy returns to base depending if they can get items. Just push minions to tower and "B" back to base, and walk to lane. That way if you get into a bad trade you can use the teleport to get back right away with full health and new items.
- MID and LATE GAME by this time in the game the enemy team should be grouping and giving you the opportunity to push like crazy destroying towers all the way to base if not all the way to the inhibitor depending on how well you are doing. When they group in the MID LANE push TOP LANE to the river then go back to base and push BOT LANE until you draw the enemy from mid to bot then teleport to top and push even farther. Continue the cycle until you destroy and inhibitor. MID LANE will be your last objective to take. Don't not help team fights unless absolutely necessary where you can give them a big advantage and after you kill and enemy or two go back to pushing your lane.

Masteries & Runes
Masteries & Runes
MASTERY is set to increase damage to help last hit early game, while also providing cool down reduction for your poke (E). Add small health bonus to give you a bit more sustain on top of what you have. AATROX's mastery also balances the attack speed and life steal runes to upgrade him even before the game starts in nearly all areas.
