Hello guys, welcome to my first ever guide here on mobafire. Wukong was one of my first champions and I love playing him. Wukong is a fun to play champion wich is capable of carrying games and dealing high amounts of damage even though he's building tanky. This build is a bit similar to the blue build Ezreal build and just like blue build Ezreal you can build him a bit different with situational items. I just came up with this build but I'm not sure if I'm the first that came up with it, probably not, but I haven't seen this build yet.

These are the runes that I use for Wukong. It's always up to you wich runes you use, however, i definitely recommend these runes for this particular build.


Greater Glyph of Scaling Health

Greater Seal of Armor

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage
Normally you don't really need armor penetration marks because of your Crushing Blow and the The Brutalizer you will get very soon with a normal build. But in this build you won't be rushing a The Brutalizer so i prefer taking those extra armor penetration runes.

These runes are a bit standard but those +12 armor runes at level 1 will always help you survive in your lane and even better against AD enemys.

You will definitly need some magic resist but you're are most likely to lane against AD enemys, so that's why I chose the scaling magic resist runes wich give you +24 MR at lvl 18. If you see the enemy picking an AP toplaner, use flat MR runes wich will definitely be better early.

For quintessences I take flat AD runes. These our will help you will help you in your early game cause you'll deal more damage of course, but you'll be able to last hit easier.

These are the masteries I use for blue build Wukong:

These masteries are mostly offensive cause I think it's better then the defensive masteries. You might wonder why I took 2 points in Sorcery in stead of Lethality . This is because critical strike isn't very good on casters like Wukong, and cooldown reduction is always good.

Max Q first in this build because you'll deal massive damage once you get your sheen. Of course you can max E too if you prefer to, but with this build i'd max Q.

Passive: Stone skin
Increases Wukong's armor and magic resistance for each nearby enemy champion. This is Wukong's passive. What it basically does is increase his Magic Resist and Armor stats based on how many enemy champions are nearby. So the higher the amount of enemies the higher the boost. With this passive you already have a bonus in durability in team fights throughout the game.

Q: Crushing Blow
Wukong's next attack deals additional physical damage and reduces the enemy's Armor for a short duration. This skill move right here is the key to your burst damage. Without the use of this move your burst would not exist. Once you press Q to activate this skill you have five seconds to land it. So prep this ability then Nimbus Strike in and you should land Crushing Blow with no problem. This skill will activate on-hit effect from items like Sheen.

W: Decoy
Wukong becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds. An uncontrollable decoy is left behind that will deal magic damage to enemies near it after 1.5 seconds. Decoy is your escape skill. You can use it to move forward as well as retreating. Also a neat little trick is press S on the keyboard. This will make your character abruptly stop just like the decoy would. So if positioned right you could make the enemy team believe that you are actually a decoy and make them search for you while you then activate Decoy to disappear in the other direction. Your decoy will also act like a real champion and will absorb enemy damage which will save you often.

E: Nimbus strike
Wukong dashes toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck. Nimbus Strike is you initiator move when attacking or farming. The clones will do the same damage that your actually body will. If you position it correctly you can use this skill to attack an enemy without actually hitting him yourself. You can see what you will hit by moving the circle over targets when this skill is selected. Nimbus Strike can also be used as a escape tool. You can use it to propel yourself to enemy minions in front of you if there are any granting extra distance between you and your enemies.

R: Cyclone
Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing damage and knocking up enemies. Wukong gains speed over the duration of the spell. Cyclone is Wukong's Ultimate. It makes him start spinning and the longer he spins the faster he can move while spinning. Any minion, jungle creep, or champion Wukong comes in contact with while spinning will be knocked into the air only once while dealing physical damage. HE CAN TURN OFF CycloneBY PRESSING R AGAIN WHILE SPINNING. This skill is what makes Wukong have the potential to be very helpful in team fights.

-Can get away pretty easily from enemys with his Decoy
-Epic burst
-His abilities have low mana costs
-Not a very difficult to play champ, a lot of mindgames though
-Can harass good with his combo


-The player must play smart to maximize his abilities
-Needs items to be good
-He's a bit squishy early game
