Sylas beats you in early lane as he has 2 abilities to gap close onto you. He also makes you a detriment to your team as he can steal your ult and use it better than you.

Doesn't have a hard time in lane as you don't quite have long enough range to deal with his barrels early game. He will just continue to be stronger than you late game. He is susceptible to ganks when you have mega though and you can snowball.

Yasuo

Major

The classic Gnar counter. He can cancel your boomerang with Windwall and can easily get on top of you. However, with the state he is in ATM your ult directly counters him and unless he is ahead you will be more useful. Rush Tabis.

Olaf

Major

You cannot push him in as he will run you down the long lane and mega Gnar isn't any safer as he is unstoppable. Phase Rush helps.

Sion

Major

You have no way of dealing with his split push. He will be more useful than you in teamfights and will outscale you. You have to play the first 4 waves really well and have jungle attention to win this game.

Jax

Major

His low cooldown jump means you have to play safe when your E is down. He will go even in lane and outscale you.

Ornn

Major

He won't lose in lane, he has kill threat if you misstep and he will outscale you.

Camille

You win pre-divine. GL after that <3

Nasus

If you don't pressure him off CS you lose. Wither counters you, however you can snowball insanely if you play the lane well.

Darius

Darius is hard early game, however, after level 6 with faster hyper and more scaled range, you can kite him easily and outscale him.

Engage supports with large AOE CC are really strong with Gnar as they can both follow up on each others engages.

Gnar loves champs who can enhance his engage potential, Bard portal and ult do this perfectly

Gnar can become unstoppable with certain enchanters like Ivern and Soraka. Ivern is particularly good as Daisy has great value in combination with mega Gnar and the Q and Es give you more freedom.
