Pantheon is an AD spellcaster meaning that he relies on his abilities rather than basic attacks, so it's not working champions like master yi, tryndamere, jax, etc. Your Q and E improves by AD while your W and R improves by AP. However your w and r are skills for utility rather than dealing damage and your w is your only cc so time it carefully. The hardest part of playing pantheon is your ultimate, which is underestimated but powerful as hell, saving any lane and may change any bad situation into a good one, also it's also a physcological pressure on enemy team. Well it's damage is very good if you landed it good. Anyway i'll already mention it in next chapter. What makes pantheon powerful is it's early game advantage. However it depends on you, so don't try to jungle all the time just keep pressure in lanes, the kill will come to you. Because your abilities your poor attack speed are not designed for jungle clearing. And if you fail in early game, you will hardly comeback in late game, in this case **** this build and go tanky.
1. Passive: This skill what makes pantheon a nightmare about all right-clickers blocking a basic attack and a tower shot and a cannon minion after 4 hits with basic attacks and/or your skills, notice that your w gives immediately your passive, so it's better to stack 3 passive stacks before a fight as you can block 2 basic hits immediately with your w. And it's pretty useful in tower dives and jungle too.
2. Q: Q seems a easy skill as it's point directed, however it's timing is crucial when performing a combo, it's useful for kiting damage and after your E skill is active it counts as critical shot like againts targets below %15 health, like your basic attack.
3. W: W is your only crowd control skill, it's timing is crucial too, against mobile champs during a gank you should wait till enemy laner uses his mobility skill or flash otherwise poorly timed W may be just waste as you cannot land your E and your Q. And dont open a gank for w, first Q then w, e then Q againg so in this way you can cast 2 q even 3 depending of your cd and the gank becomes much more useful. If you land your w first, dont Q after it, Q is a ranged skill, always land your E after W as the stun duration won't last for all damage from your E if you land Q after your W.
4. E: This skill's passive is what makes pantheon so deadly against low health targets.
It gives your basic attacks and your Q %100 critical chance against targets under %15 hp.
5. R: The hardest skill of all skills mentioned above, this skill is so tricky that it can cause you die or cause you to be the hero of the game. Land it carefully and track your teammates well, if they aren't willing to follow don't just cast it among 3 or more enemies. It's also always a threat to enemy laners, it's range is huge (bigger than nocturne's ultimate at first level). Hardly but you can steal a baron or dragon if you land very well but as i said, it's almost not possible if the enemy jungler is alive and he has smite charge.

It's a 12-18-0 mastery tree, you can also prefer 18-12-0 with deathfire touch but thunderlord is superior over it for now. However in some cases deathfire may secure a kill with it's short lasting ignite like effect. You can also choose attack speed in ferocity tree, however i myself prefer sorcery as we mostly deal damage by skills. Again like in these two natural talent seems superior over vampirism %4 lifesteal is almost nothing in early-mid game.
Well, this is the most discussable part of this guide yet this is unlike other pantheon guides, this solely relies on burst damage. And i imagine most of you may think that zhonya is pretty much useless on pantheon, well it's useful in every champ in the game if you use it right, it may avoid death, can buy you some time during a bad position while your teammates are on their way. And think about this a pantheon with 10-0-4, probably he will be the most focused target in the fight, crowd control effects will rain upon him. Time it so well that leave enemies with no CCs, avoid ultimates and win a teamfight. You lose 150 secs cooldown for each use and an item slot but certainly this will surprise them as they don't expect you to build the Zhonya's. After focus is changed and they're peeled, go hard on carries and destroy them. One last thing, the trinity force is not for attack speed, however some attack speed make your passive come faster. Don't underestimate it even it's the most expensive item, it's worth every piece of gold you spend on it. However don't rush for it, just buy sheen after serrated dirk, then rush for draktharr.
Well without boots and blue smite, it's crucial that the lane you're planning to gank should be unwarded or cleared of wards or pushed by enemy. Don't waste your time on solo lane or mid lane in which your opponents prefer playing safer unless you're certain that your laner go hard and deep. Don't be afraid of tanking towers take your chance while you have your passive on you. Don't smite anyone as soon as you gank a lane, just deal damage, stun it then you can smite it except for facing champs you're not possible to catch anytime soon like a bot lane with janna or solo laning Riven with boots of ionia. One more thing is that, some believe many other champion are stronger at level 6 against pantheon, yes it's true. However this becomes unimportant as you can suddenly outnumber enemy lane/laners with your ultimate. It cooldown may seem long at level 6, but as you build CDR items and reach level 11, you can even just use your R for going base to the midlane which can be crucial for defending towers, securing global quests.
As it depends on skills and how well you know about pantheon, some match-ups may give you headache.
Lee Sin: One of the most powerful and highest AD and average health and being without mana problems he can literally destroy you before and after level 6. Still, you can outplay him if you dodge his Q. Preferably don't try to 1 v 1 him if you're not ahead and he's going for items that increasing health.
Kha'zix: Before level 6 because of your passive and stun ability you can outplay him, go hard on him if he's not building health like black cleaver and dead man's plate. After level 6 if you're equal he has a bit more stronger than you. So if you see him alone and if he's going hard on you just ult somewhere as he has no skill set to distrupt your channeling.
Fizz: One of the trickiest one, after level 6 dodge his ult. Wait for his E than stun him and destroy him. However he's going to wait for W to dodge it with his E, so be careful about it. Especially if he have built cdr and average ap just avoid to 1 v 1 him.
Olaf: If he maxed his E, he literally destroys you. However like khazix he don't have heavy crowd control skills and you can ult far away to escape him.
Elise: Like lee sin one of the most powerful junglers in early-mid game with very high burst damage, avoid facing her if you don't have any magic resist. As she can stun you and avoid your stun with her E. As soon as the fight between you and her continues her q deal more damage. Don't hesitate to buy a hex-drinker if she's fed.
Hecarim: Actually you can destroy him if he's E in cooldown but notice that your W may be missed if he hits his E first. Still he stands little chance against you.
Master Yi: let him Q you, then Q him E him when he enters meditation stun him hard and destroy him.
Yasuo: Unless he reached %100 critical and fed, you can destroy him but careful about his wall as it can block your every damaging skill.
Darius: don't blind W him, as he's Q can change the situation completely, wait your W for when he starts to cast his Q, however after level 6, if you're not ahead don't 1 v 1 him.
Fiora: She's fed or not, approach with highest care, as she can ultimately counter you.
Riven: Slay her till level 6, then don't underestimate her powerspike when she reaches level 6
Vayne/Quinn: Don't try to 1 v 1 these two if you're not ahead. Their skill sets may put you ultimately disadvantaged position

Opposite team having hard healing supports like good-positioning soraka, janna or lot's of shields like karma, lux, orianna (2 of 3 in same team worse even with a solari) may prevent you one-shot anyone so approach carefully while playing against teams like that.
Also don't go for this build, if opposite team have tank solo + tank support and tankier midlane building liandry's torment + rod of ages item sets which means you can hardly oneshot anyone other than adc as you can fail hard and most probably be useless because of their high hp. Because you don't have any skill that hits propotional to health. In these cases, you can try some items like, master dominic's regards, blade of ruined king (not best item for pantheon but it's worth giving a shot in this situation) or you may just go tanky.

Well, that's a possibility too and what to do in such cases i explain. First of all go for Tracker's Knife as jungle item or sightstone (an extra sightstone doesn't hurt anyone), build hp, destroy enemy team's ward and BUILD UTILITY ITEMS. (Zz'rot, Frozen Mallet, Solari, Knight's Wow, Black Cleaver (for health, cdr and for your adc to deal more damage), Banner of Command etc.) Don't try to go hard tank as you may become useless as hell. If you're messed up just go like a tank support protect your carries.
