Hi all,

Irelia is my main, i've try many Build on her, i've find this one based on an old one of TMiracle.
This Build is a powerfull if he's play with brain.

there is 2 importants things to know:
- Not do stupid death: the survive is the key
- Kill minions, make KS : Irelia's power is based on the farm, if you KS but don't die and protect your team, your teammate will never insult you for the KS

Each nearby enemy champion (to a maximum of three) reduces the effectiveness of Crowd Control on Irelia.

* 1 Champion: 10%.
* 2 Champions: 25%.
* 3 Champions: 40%.
* Range: 800.

This passive is just amazing, stacked with mercs it gives a total of 75% CC reduction when there are 3 or more anemy champions around, this is what it makes Irelia so hard to take down. Be careful, this not apply to suppression - so be aware of Malzahar and Warwick.

(Active): Irelia dashes forward to strike her target, dealing physical damage. This applies on-hit effects (red buff, sheen, triforce, razors, lifesteal and etc.), but cannot crit.
If it kills the target, Bladesurge's cooldown refreshes and refunds 35 Mana.

* Cost: 70 mana.
* Range: 650.

Cooldown: 14 / 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 seconds
Physical Damage: 20 / 50 / 80 / 110 / 140 (+1.0 per attack damage).

This is my first pick, it's your farm skill, you need use it to last hit creeps.
Later it will become your gank skills, and you could run after low HP champ to finish them.
But i up this at last to because the damage doesn't really increae , i prefere up equilibrium strike for more burst and stun/slow.

(Passive): Physical attacks restore health.
(Active): Irelia's physical attacks deal additional true damage for 6 seconds.

* Cost: 40 mana.
* Cooldown: 15 seconds.

Heal: 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26 .
True Damage: 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75.

This is a really good skill, with the little regen it's help you to stay lane in early, and with the true damage you afraid anyone in mid game. That's why up this in second skill is a good idea.

(Active): Irelia pierces her target, dealing magic damage and slowing the target by 60% for few seconds. If the target has a higher health % than Irelia, she stuns the target for the duration instead.

* Cooldown: 8 seconds.
* Range: 325.

Cost: 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 mana.
Magic Damage: 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+0.5 per ability power).
Duration: 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 seconds.

This is THE skill, it allows you to burst, to escape and slow opponent who run away. I tend to max this First just because of ridiculous harrasment it does when using Bladesurge -> Equilibrium Strike combo, and the very good escape if your are in danger. With this skill you can also make some nice kills if any greedy bastard decides to dive you.

(Active): Irelia summons 4 spirit blades which she can fling to deal physical damage to enemies they pass through, and she heals for 25% of that damage vs champions and 10% vs minions.

Cost: 100 mana
Range: 1,200

Cooldown: 60 / 50 / 40 seconds
Physical Damage: 85 / 135 / 185 (+0.5 per ability power AND +0.6 per bonus attack damage)

This is one of the hardest ulti to use of the game.
This don't make a lot of damage and the regen is ridiculous, i use it only to farm creeps, this have a small cooldown, with this you can kills one wave of creeps, it's usefull to push the lane. In late game could became very powerful with the Hextech Gunblade for lifesteal.
but don't dream, your ennemy will never be afraid or back when you use this skill.

greater mark of desolationGreater Mark of Desolation: Since the nerfs, irelia is bacam only AD, so i think there's no other way, it will boost your Bladesurge and your transcendant blades
Alternative: Greater Mark of Alacrity

Greater Seal of Resilience : You are an offtank, you need armor resist, this boost your survability. With this i start with a nice 50 armor at level 1.
Alternative : Greater of Seal of Evasion, Greater Seal of Fortitude, Greater Seal of Clarity

Greater Glyph of Warding : For the same reason of the Seal, your are an offtank, with this runes and masteries, you start with more than 50 magic resist, it's hard for AP opponent to harass u at start.
Alternative : Greater Glyph of Focus, Greater Glyph of Clarity

greater quintessence of desolationGreater Quintessence of Desolation : same as Mark, boost 2 skills and at start you make nice damage to afraid/harass your opponent with the Bladsurge
Alternative : Greater Quintessence of Fortitude, Greater Quintessence of Alacrity, Greater Quintessence of Resilience

0/21/9 - Why ?
I'm focusing my playstyle on the survavibility, with this you have a nice armor and it's very hard to kill you in early.
In mid game and late game, you will engage the fight, in this moment, the ennemy will focus you, you need resist to not die.

0/9/21 - Alternative
You can with this masteries, like that you are more aggressive and can harass a lot, but in this case, better is follow Tmiracle guide Irelia -True Will Cannot be Defeated [In-Depth Guide].

Skill sequence

Bladesurge: Start with this, lvl 1 only, to last hit minions and jump for gank with your jungler.

Equilibrium Strike: Max this skills, he offer a little burst, nice for your combo Bladesurge + Equilibrium strike. In other way is very nice for escape.

Hiten Style: Max this one in second, this help you to stay in lane and make a good true damage in early. if u succeed your combo Bladesurge + Equilibrium + Hiten Style, you should let the enemy with half life.

Transcendent Blades : Up the ultimate when you can, it should help you to push creeps and make a good farm (10 creeps is near 280 gold)

Summoner Spells

i've try all summoner spells with Irelia and there is only 3 find realy useful.

Ignite : A must have, in early, you can easily kill someone using the combo
Bladesurge + Equilibrium Strike + ignite

Flash: For finish someone who try to escape, make gank or escape a gank. If the spell is good used, you will have very nice result.

ghost: Alternative of Flash, i recommand take ghost instead of flash if you start with irelia, you can follow ennemy low hp and back easily.

Teleport : If u are solo top, this spells could be viable.

First of all, DONT DO ALWAYS the same build.
Make your build considering the enemy team

Start Item

Doran's Shield : This give you extra life, armor and regen. i think this usefull at start to stay in the lane without back.

Cloth armor + 5 Health Potion : this is a viable too, you can regen faster with the potions and you have 55 armor, but you don't have extra HP.
NB : Before the last ulti nerf i taked this start items and rush phage, but since the nerfs i rush sheen otherwise you will let creeps with 5hp with the ultimate, so i take doran's shield to have little more HP

Core Items

Sheen : This items is usefull for the mana and the passive, when you will make your combo Q+E+W, the first attack with W will do 2x your basic damage + 75 true damage. Other things, the AP bonus allows you to kill creeps using your ulti.

Paghe : Give you bonus HP and damage, nice to say in lane. The passive is based on chance and don't give a really advantage.

Mercury's treads : the way why all people said Irelia is OP, the reduce CC is highest of the game, you can have 75% reduce CC if there is 3 opponent. You will become unstopable, unfearable, untauntable.... very usefull

Trinity Force : This items boost all necessary stats of Irelia, with the passive of Sheen, phage and extra speed, it's a must have for irelia.

Spirit Visage : Simply boost your Hiten Style passive, have more HP and magic resist.
Take it if the opponant make better AP damage.
alternative (in late game): Force of Nature

Warden's Mail : Best Armor, HP regen and nice passive.
Take it if the opponent team have better AD Damage. Later, will be up to Randuin's Omen.

Usual Balanced Items

Wit's End : Give you more AS, a nice extra magic damage with your hiten style, the wit's end is realy a great Items. If in the enemys don't make many AP damage (sometines in 3v3) you can switch to Sword of the Divine
alternative : Sword of the Divine

Randuin's Omen : Big Armor, big hp regen, HP bonus. and an active really usefull in teamfight or for escape. a must have for off tank.
Alternative : Thornmail, Guradian Angel

Hextech Gunblade : I use this items since few times and i find im really OP for Irelia. With this you Transcendant Blades become powerfull. this boost all 2 factor of damage (AP and AD) and add 25% vampiric spell. so your ulti make incredible damage, heal you as much , all your skills are boosted. A really nice item end game.
