Akali Passive Ability
Introduction
Anyway, I always use her in mid lane and I only did this for people who are curious what would happen if they try to jungle her. Okay, let's get started.
I wanted to jungle Akali ever since I tried being a jungler but I always fail because monsters do much damage on her due to her early squishiness and her lack in her basic attack output. But this time, I just figured a way on how to jungle Akali effectively and continuously jungling like other junglers.
Your aim here is to rush Akali to level 6 as early as possible but it doesn't mean that you won't try to help/cover/gank anymore.
IMO, an assassin doesn't need any defense items as long as your good at it. Assassin players tend to play smart and knows where and when to strike. Killer strike is a must! Of course, you shouldn't attack tanks when you're roaming because there'll be a chance that some enemy team will respond to it. Play smart. Think wisely when playing an assassin champ.
Okay, there will always be a question like "I'm good being a carry or an assassin but they just waited for me and focused on me?" Yes, things like that happens even though you're assassinating enemy teams. You won't get any favor at all times. Like you can't enter team clashes even though you entered late because they countered you with Oracle's Elixir or Vision Wards. So what will you do? Here comes our items for survivability. To withstand ant pressure given to you as a carry. But, like what I've said earlier, if you really are an assassin type player, you will always find a way to settle this.
Assassin should move like in this video and don't worry this clip belongs to one of my guides. And this is just an example and why not Akali? Because LoLreplay isn't working well with my PC and fraps eat a lot of disk space. I cannot record the whole game while playing.
Pros
+Has escape mechanism ( Twilight Shroud and her Shadow Dance) +Good Ganker (Can level up to 6 very fast.) +No mana cost +Low Ability Cooldown |

-Item dependent -Has only 1 CC which is her Twilight Shroud -Need to be tactful (also to survive counter jungling) |

Runes
x9 - Gives you armor to withstand monster in the jungle
x9 - Same as above
x9 - Compared to AD Flat Marks, you use this for AP users instead. Don't use Greater Glyph of Scaling Ability Power since you're not in lane.
x3 - You need this to level up faster. You need to combine this with your utility masteries. Why 3? Why do you think 3 is necessary? I know you got it already lol. Anyway, if you don't like these rune just replace it with whatever works best for you but I still prefer you use these.
Jungling Items:
Hunter's Machete - Your main jungling item. You'll have to sell this later when you get stronger.
Health Potions - Get 5 of these to help you better sustain the jungle and do ganks
First trip back:
1st option: Buy Boots and an Amplifying Tome
1st Option B: Upgrade Amplifying Tome to Kage's lucky pick
2nd option: Buy Boots and upgrade Hunter's Machete to Madred's Razors
Then after that just go for either the sequence I made. (I just made the sequence for you to make it easier but feel free to buy whatever items available for your gold so that
you won't get pressured.)
Madred's Razors - if you don't have enough armor runes, go for this one and just this one. It's more than enough to clear the jungle but if you have the runes I require you,
then there's no need to go for this item. It's purely optional anyway.
Kage's lucky pick - it's also a good choice along with your Greed utility mastery still, another optional item. Take this if you can't get kill from ganks to make your
gold tick faster. Some people hate it lol. But it's your choice. Just try it. Nothing bad will happen to you. It's just a game. :)
Mobility Boots - okay why this? Yes additional movement speed is gone once you enter a fight but the most important part here is that you can
Hextech Revolver - your core jungling item aside from Hunter's Machete. Leave it at that.
Sheen - You need to rush it into Lich Bane for higher damage output. Then just buy a component of Rabadon's Deathcap whichever you can buy it will still add to your
damage.
Mobility Boots - a must for a jungler/roamer
Core Items:
Lich Bane for higher damage output.
Rabadon's Deathcap - adds very high AP for damaging purposes.
Hextech Gunblade - very good item. Has nice active, life steal, and spell vamp pack in one. Though you musn't rush this as the damage it can give isn't enough to burst your
enemy and spell vamp only gives you minimal health back unlike when built after Rabadon's Deathcap
Health and Defensive Items:
Rylai's Crystal Scepter - This is a great item. Gives decent AP and has a nice passive which slows an enemy target when targeted by a skill and works great with [[Liandry's
torment]]
Warmog's Armor - gives a very high boost to your health as well as good health regeneration.
Abyssal Mask - has decent AP and an aura which reduces the MR of enemy champions by 20.
Guardian Angel - if you're thinking like "I should've aced them if I only have G.A." Well, here it is. Resurrects your champion by 30% of your maximum health and mana.
Akali doesn't have mana but the passive is very useful not only that, it also gives decent armor and MR so it is also one of the good choices.
Other Damage Items:
Zhonya's Hourglass - gives high AP and has an active ability which makes you invulnerable to attack for 2.5 sec.
Deathfire Grasp - very nice item. Gives high AP and has a % damage based on enemy's max health and amplifies all magic damage the enemy takes by 20%.
Void Staff - this is a counter item against champs with high MR.
Liandry's Torment - if your enemy has stacked a lot of health, this is the solution. Burns 6% of the target's current health and is double when slowed which is the effect of
Akali's Twilight Shroud. Very Powerful when combined with Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Guinsoo's Rageblade - This is also a good item. Gives you both AD and AP and while fighting gives you 4% AS and 4 AP that stacks upto 8 times. Another interesting fact about
this item is it's passive when your health is under 50%, it grants you 20% AS, 10% LS, 10% Spell Vamp that's why it's also good when combined with Hextech Gunblade though I
only see few Akali users use this item now in rank or normal games.
Good Combination of Items for Akali
Hextech Gunblade + Guinsoo's Rageblade = vampiric effect
Your Local Calorie burner. Is the enemy champion fat/has lots of health? Help them reduce their excess weight by using
Health Eater
for only 5800 Gold. (expensive but it's not a problem during mid-late game) Garen-teed to burn their fats away.Rylai's Crystal Scepter + Liandry's Torment = Kiting machine (with her Mark of the Assassin) as well as health burn effect based on current health.
Standard Sequence
Cautious sequence In this sequence, you need to take Twilight Shroud at LvL 2 just in case of counter jungle but it depends on how you handle it.
This is the summoner spells I recommend for you to use.
Flash
Used to fill the gap between 2 champs either for offense or when escaping.
Smite
This is a must for clearing the jungle fast. I will include a guide on how to jungle with Akali effectively later as my LoLReplay is still crashing lol. -_-
Here are other viable SS:
Exhaust
Well a decent choice for Akali slow (armor, damage, ability power, and speed reduction) then kill if possible. Also effective for ganks.
Ignite
Also a decent choice for Akali good for finishing fleeing low health enemy champs and also for reducing health regen by half.
Heal
Use this if you want to counter jungle to have extra
Lizard Elder Route:
It's easier to kill than the Ancient Golem so I made this route my standard.
Ask for your team mates for help to make jungling easier.
Lizard Elder ---> Golems ---> Wraiths ---> Wolves ---> Ancient Golem
Ancient Golem Route:
Take this route if you feel that they're going to counter you on the Elder Lizard. It's not bad to follow your instincts but I still suggest you go for the Elder Lizard 1st. But here we go.
Ancient Golem ---> Wolves ---> Wraiths ---> Elder Lizard ---> Golems
-or-
You can start at enemy camp. Ask help from your teammates to accomplish this.
P.S
It's up to you if you want to buy Spirit of the spectral wraiths as your spell vamp as well as jungling item. But I don't recommend it as Hextech Gunblade (AD + AP + 40% Spell Vamp, 10% Life Steal and a very useful active which damage depends on your AP) is much powerful and still powerful late game. Though it is still your decision.
The runes and masteries set I used here concentrates greatly on utility but also with offense.
Anyway, here is the match history that I recovered from our last play.
I dominated here. Just played 5 hours ago.
We lost the match here but here it is.
My friend played it and he's doing well with and he will keep me updated about set he used. It's a bit small but I asked him already for a bigger pic.
