It's just impossible to play against Anivia because of her Q stun, because of her W wall, it can block you so you can't run away, and her R slow and damage.
Champion Build Guide
Powerspike: Level 3 (Early Game) Cons: Power decline late game, pretty vulnerable pre 3 Why Pantheon - Brief Introduction Pantheon is an early game champion which is able to dominate his lane for quite a while in early-mid game. He is best lane bully early game, because of his kit. His E is protecting him from damage of all sorts (Excluding Turret shots as of 10.25), which is making him invincible for a bit. His Q has high damage output against low health champions, especially while being empowered. Unlike other champions, his power declines quite quickly, so it's important to set opponents as much back as possible. |
Pros
|
+ Powerful early game + High sustain + High mobility + Enormous damage + Great Roam potential |
Pantheon is Early Game oriented champion, one of the best of it's kind. He is able to deal enormous damage to his opponents on the lane and thus destroying them, not giving them any change to escape whatsoever. He is able to roam from Mid to Top, from Mid to Bot, from Mid to any point in the map with his Grand Starfall. He is able to sustain any damage, thanks to his Aegis Assault which blocks all damage from one direction. |
Cons
|
- Falls behind late game - Unlike most champions, Ultimate won't help You fight Your lane - Won't be able to match up against most tanks - Very bad early game clear - Vulnerable while casting his Aegis Assault from behind - Will eventually get behind no matter how fed You are |
Unlike most champions, Pantheon, unfortunately, falls behind in late game. He is and will get behind every champion in game eventually, no matter the score, thus he won't be as useful, that's why you should focus on the objectives. While casting his Aegis Assault, opponents can just go behind him and this ability won't stop any damage, thus you'd probably get killed easily. |
|
Mortal Will (Passive): Pantheon gains one stack of Mortal Will when he lands a basic attack and/or his ability. He gainst full stacks upon starting the game, respawning and using his ultimate ability. Maximum stacks that he can have at once is 5. At 5 stacks, his next ability will be empowered, and stacks will be consumed. |
|
Comet Spear Q : Pantheon's Comet Spear can be either Thrusted (tap) or Thrown (hold). While holding Q, Pantheon will charge for up to 4 seconds, increasing Comet Spear's range, while being slowed by 10%. When thrown, it will deal physical damage to all enemies hit, dealing increased damage against enemies below 20% of their maximum health, but having reduced damage by 50% against enemies hit beyond the first. Total damage is reduced by 30% against minions and monsters. When Thrusted, Pantheon will deal same amount of physical damage to all enemies hit, but will refund 60% of Comet Spear's cooldown. Thrusted damage is Not reduced against enemies hit beyond the first. While Empowered by his Mortal Will, it will deal an additional 20 - 240 (based on level) (+ 115% bonus AD) bonus physical damage, affected by the previous damage reductions, to all enemies hit. It will consume all Mortal Will stacks upon recasting. |
|
Shield Vault W : Pantheon can leap to the front of target enemy, dealing physical damage and stunning them for 1 second upon arrival. While Empowered by his Mortal Will, his next basic attack, landed within 4 seconds, will become unstoppable and will strike it's target 3 times, dealing 45% - 55% (based on level) AD physical damage per hit, up to 135% - 165% (based on level) AD. Each hit is affected by critical strike modifier. |
|
Aegis Assault E : Pantheon braces his shield in the target direction, channeling for 1.5 seconds as well as becoming slowed for between 0% - 25% (Based on his movement direction). Aegis Assault cannot be interrupted by crowd control. It can be recast after 0.3 seconds. For the duration, Pantheon is invulnerable against all damage, except Turret damage as of 10.25 patch, dealt by enemies from the target direction, and deals up to 100% AD physical damage in a cone to all enemies struck, reduced by 50% against minions. At the end of duration, or when recasted earlier, Pantheon slams with his shield, dealing physical damage. While Empowered by his Mortal Will, he will gainst 60% bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds after slamming his shield. This used to be different. It used to increase duration from 1.5s to 2.5s and increase damage to 166.6% of Pantheon's AD over the duration. |
|
Grand Starfall R : With newest patch, being 10.25, Pantheon gainst additional passive from his Ultimate ability Grand Starfall. He gains armor penetration, based on ability's rank. Upon activating, Pantheon channels for 2 seconds, then leaps into the air, vanishing and becoming immune to crowd control, until he reappears. While in the air, he channgels again for 2.45 seconds and grants sight around the target location 0.5 seconds into the channel. After 1.125 seconds into the channel, Pantheon prepares for landing by marking his destination with his spear. The spear deals 40 - 190 (based on Comet Spear's rank) (+ 115% bonus AD) physical damage to enemies in an area and slows them by 50% for 2 seconds. Then Pantheon crashes down and creates a shockwafe that travels toward the target location, dealing magic damage to all enemies in his path, decreased up to 50% for those hit at the edges of the area. He then gains full stacks of Mortal Will after reappearing. Grand Starfall is put on a 30 seconds cooldown if the first channel is cancelled. |
As the items and kits change so do builds for champions. So this is the newest build for Mid lane Pantheon. Everything else is outdated. |
Doran's Blade
|
I always recommend starting Doran's Blade instead of Corrupting Potion because you're on Mid lane, not on top lane. You gain health, attack damage and omnivamp from it, which is great for laning phase. |
Corrupting Potion
|
Corrupting Potion is option only when playing against high poke champions or harder matchup, so you can sustain in your lane. Otherwise, Doran's Blade is better. |

Shield Vault will be far more useful in any situation while being Mortal Will Empowered. If you need to get close to your opponent, don't hesitate to Flash.
As Aegis Assault no longer blocks Turret Shots, it is NOT advisable to tower dive anymore. Try and bait them out of their turret range to kill them safely.
Also one of the best things in this game is Target Champions Only. Make it togglable, and toggle it while fighting a Champion in a lane phase. You won't miss Shield Vault and hit minions instead.
Yasuo's Way of the Wanderer won't save him from Comet Spear's execute while below 20% health, so don't miss that opportunity.
When Yasuo throws Wind Wall just get close to him with your Shield Vault then tap your Q to Thrust your Comet Spear. Wind Wall won't save him from that.
Karthus' Requiem won't deal any damage to you, as long as you cast Aegis Assault towards him. Same goes for Urgot's Fear Beyond Death won't execute you as long as you cast your Aegis Assault before he second casts his Ultimate.
My first champion, which I always played a lot, was, a surprise, Pantheon. I got to around 100k mastery points on old Pantheon, and another 100k on the new, post-rework Pantheon. That account is now, unfortunatelly, perma banned but that's another story.
Other champions I love to play are Irelia, Swain, Lucian, Soraka, Aatrox, etc...
