My name is Dlbblitz and i peaked season 5 at platinum 1. I never wanted to make a guide but I came up with my own build with a take on dekar173's double phantom dancer build in season 5 and people told me to make one so here we go.

6.3 pbe so far will be buffing both Statikk Shiv and Phantom Dancer which is always a good thing. Phantom Dancer will cost 2550 instead of 2800 (a 250 gold price reduction) and Spectral waltz will be increase by 50 range. Statikk Shiv damage will be increased to 50-120 instead of 30-100. They are also reducing Rengar's mid air Bola Strike cast time to 0.125 from 0.25, which is huge benefit to give the champion clean game play because currently the 0.25 cast mid air is very clunky. This is pbe and things are bound to change.

Mercurial Scimitar This one should be obvious but make sure to grab this against heavy cc teams. Annie, Warwick, Malzahar, etc.

Maw of Malmortius Grab a early Hexdrinker against ap champs like Vladimir, Teemo, Ryze.

Lord Dominik's Regards I like to grab an early last whisper if I am against a very tanky team or even just a tanky top laner like Malphite. Make sure to remember that your Youmuu's Ghostblade will be giving some armor pen anyways.

Mercury's Treads Always an option if you don't want Boots of Swiftness and are versus lots of cc.

Titanic Hydra This item you can pick up late game because this is a crit build so this will give you an auto reset with another crit. The only problem with this item is the lack of lifesteal.

The item you will be replacing if you build one of these items will be the Phantom Dancer. If you have a situational item built instead of the pd then the build is more like a typical burst Rengar build rather than my crit focused build.

This build will be providing you will 55% cdr total so the 10% cdr runes are optional but I prefer having the extra cdr early game since it takes a while to reach 45%. At level 16 Thrill of the Hunt will have a 38.5 sec cool down will 45% cdr which is huge. This will allow for lots of room for error if you don't get a good ultimate off or if your ult does not result in a kill. This build also provides 80% crit and fairly high attack speed resulting in lots of damage throughout all points of the game.

Rengar's Savagery is an auto attack reset will means as soon as you auto you want to press q to instantly attack again.

Now that our Bola Strike has a 0.25 sec cast time in mid air we are now able to begin to cast our e then flash to cut the animation and have our bola go a greater distance. A good example of this would be Shen. People will cast Shadow Dash then flash to cut the animation and have his taunt go a greater distance.

I think that Farsight Alteration is a important trinket for Rengar because it allows us to deep ward in order to get picks on our prey with Thrill of the Hunt. Oracle Lens is also a good choice if your team is providing good vision because we are able to sweep a bush we are in to check for wards, this will protect us from wasting our ult from the enemy knowing were we are.

Remember that Thrill of the Hunt will usually result in a kill and map awareness is very important in doing so. Now that Bola Strike has a cast time mid air you want to throw your e as soon as you jump. Thrill of the Hunt has has its '!' ranged increased by 200 as well so make sure you keep that in mind.

I like to take Exhaust because you can use it both offensively and defensively and its always funny when the mid Zed says "wtf you have exhaust?!?!". I also run Teleport and Ignite depending on the situation and if i feel like doing something else. All 3 are very viable options and pick the summoner that best fits your play style.

Make sure to remember that your leap from Unseen Predator is an auto attack, so pratice your auto q cancel. Leap than press q after you do your auto attack. The same applies to Tiamat.

Most of the top lane match ups for Rengar are skill match ups which makes rengar top such a fun and challenging lane. I also believe that top lane Rengar can snowball harder than jungle Rengar. I generally end up counter-jungling and ganking my team the entire game. At around 3:00 the enemy jungler should be at their buff which usually will end up in a free kill. Make sure you ping and tell your teammates that you are going to do this so they can come back you up in case something goes wrong. Having your team watching will end up in a number advantage that your team will win.

At level 6 if you haven't used Thrill of the Hunt yet or are vsing a hard matchup, you want to recall and grab you Tiamat and maybe Boots then walk down to botlane and gank your botlane with a lane gank with your ultimate.
