Welcome to our Rengo guide. We are two people: sNenSss and Shineee122. We are two Silver players, so we can't really say if this guide/build is working in higher elo. But we really think it will! We both started playing League of Legends at the start of Season 8 and finished it in Silver. Rengar is one of our favourite champions because of his agressive playstyle you can use. So in this chapter we explain why and when you should pick Rengar.

First why?
Rengar is a really good assasin. You can carry a lot of games with him even with his passive to jump from brushes on champions and surprise the enemy. This mechanic also works really good with Duskblade here is one passive of duskblade: "After being unseen for at least 1 second, your next basic attack against an enemy champion deals 30 − 150 (based on level) bonus on-hit physical damage and Slow icon slows by 99% for 0.25 seconds. The enhanced attack lasts 5 seconds after being seen by an enemy champion." So as you can see, you deal more damage and you slow the enemy. Rengar is also a lot of fun because of his agressive playstyle, so it won't get boring playing him. He's also really good, because Rengar has a lot of building ways he can choose.

When to pick Rengo
So here we explain when to pick Rengar and when not. Due he's an assasin you should pick him against squishy enemies like Soraka, Fiddlesticks, Janna, Kha'Zix, Nidalee or even every ADC and so on. You shouldn't really pick Rengar if the enemy team has 3+ tanks. You could try with a trank shredder build (Look at the start of the build), but it's still hard to carry such a game. I wouldn't recommend Rengar aswell when the enemy team has like a Malzahar or a big late game carry. But Rengar is still good in the late game. You'll find more information about this topic below.



Flash is like the normal summoner spell you take every game. The same is for Rengar, if you really want you can choose Ghost but i wouldn't really recommend it.


As a jungler is a must have without you will just execute doing the camps and won't get that much XP, because you can't buy the jungler item Hunter's Machete without smite. Take it every game for jungle!





Electrocute: Electrocute is a really good rune for you because you get after three attacks or abilitys an extra amount of damage. Electrocute will just proc everytime you jump someone and do E Q W.

Sudden Impact: Your jump from a bush is like a dash so you get bonus Lethality and magic pen.

Eyeball Collection: It works pretty good with Duskblade because you get bonus AD from taking down wards and champions.

Relentless Hunter: It's the perfect rune for Rengo. I mean he is a Hunter and it gives him for every first time champion takedown 8 movementspeed out of combat. This is perfect because he needs to kill every enemy champion for his passive to get bonus AD.


Nimbus Cloak: You get extra movementspeed when you ult. With Rengar R you will catch them more easy.

Waterwalking: Waterwalking is a really good rune to defend the scuttle crab with your team and you get better 1v1 potention in the river.



Fleet Footwork: It heals you when you have 100 energized "stacks" and you get movementspeed good to dodge any skillshots from enemys or just for kiting.

Triumph: Triumph can save your life if you're ignited or just in a fight. It heals you and gets you 20 additional gold.

Legend: Alacrity: It gives you a quite small amount of attack speed you can use for your clear or fights. It's good for your SECOND Q because it gives you attack speed from the beginning.

Coup de Grace: Better oneshot potential with this rune, because of the additional 7% more damage.


Nimbus Cloak: You get extra movementspeed when you ult. With Rengar R you will catch them more easy.

Waterwalking: Waterwalking is a really good rune to defend the scuttle crab with your team and you get better 1v1 potention in the river.



The jungle path of Rengar is quite simple:

In the 9.9 patch the jungle path of Rengar has changed a lot. If you kite perfectly you're going to get a lvl 4 clear at 3.30 in game. You go for Red ---> Crugs ---> Raptors ---> Wolves ---> Blue ---> Gromp. This is the path you should do. I saw this clear on youtube by Scrub Noob, make sure to check him out he's a really good Rengar in challenger tier.

The late game is a bit weird of Rengar, so we decided to make an extra topic about this one. There are like three types you could be in.

1. Super fed: You oneshot your enemys and you're doing a good job, but you can't just jump in their team because you would die. You're dealing high damage but you also take a lot of damage when jumping someone. So don't greed and try to pick out ADC or squishy mid/jgl. You can carry this game easily if they fed you.

2. Medium K/DA: You do good but you're not able to oneshot everybody and you're not able to 1v1 everyone either. You need to play smart and do the right decisions. You could carry it but it's not that easy for you.

3. You fed the enemy: You're not in the game then. You're behind with gold and have a lot of deahts. In this state you can't do really much. You need to hope you get carried by your teammates. You're just useless then, because you can't 1v1 good, you can't teamfight and you can't do high damage because you're so freaking behind. Only thing you could maybe do is farming up so hard you get a bit back.
