Introduction
Hey guys, I am a Jungle only player on the EUW server who is currently in diamond 4. I have around 4000 hours played so I have a slight idea on how to play the game. I play Zac often because he is the only tank I can bear to play, besides Sej. I love his playstyle because he is a play-making tank that can solo win a team fight. He has alot of CC which is great for ganking and he also has a very fun and unique way of stealing barons and dragons.

I have a twitch account that I try to stream on, if you prefer watching people play the champ instead of reading guides, come watch me play her! A follow would be much appreciated :) Watch Me Play!

I am very new to making guides so please keep your feedback friendly. I have made guides on other Junglers that you can check out here : https://www.mobafire.com/profile/reganakers-888105/content/builds
Abilities
PASSIVE
ABILITY
Cell division (Passive): Each time Zac hits an enemy with an ability, he sheds a chunk of himself that can be reabsorbed to restore Health. Upon taking fatal damage, Zac splits into 4 bloblets that attempt to recombine. If any bloblets remain, he will revive with an amount of Health depending on the Health of the surviving bloblets. Each bloblet has a percentage of Zac's maximum Health, Armor and Magic Resistance. This ability has a 5 minute cooldown.

Q
ABILITY
Stretching Strikes (Q): Zac stretches an arm, grabbing an enemy. Attacking a different enemy will cause him to throw both targets towards each other.

Zac's arm stretches and grabs the first enemy it hits, dealing 40/55/70/85/100 (+30% Ability Power) (+0) magic damage and briefly slowing them. Zac's next basic attack is replaced with a long range smack that repeats the initial magic damage and slow effect. If Zac grabs a different enemy with each attack he'll throw them towards each other, dealing 40/55/70/85/100 (+30% Ability Power) (+0) magic damage in an area if they collide.

W
ABILITY
Unstable Matter (W): Zac explodes outward towards nearby enemies, dealing a percentage of their maximum health as magic damage.

Zac's body erupts, dealing {{ basedamage }} + ({{ basemaxhealthdamage*100 }}+{{ displaypercentdamage }}) of the enemy's max health as magic damage to nearby enemies.Absorbing Goo reduces Unstable Matter's cooldown by 1 second.Max health damage is capped at 200 versus minions and monsters

E
ABILITY
Elastic Slingshot (E): Zac attaches his arms to the ground and stretches back, launching himself forward.

First cast: Zac faces the cursor and charges up over 0.9/1/1.1/1.2/1.3 seconds.

Second cast: Launches Zac towards a location, knocking up nearby enemies for 0 to 0 seconds (based on charge time) and dealing 60/110/160/210/260 (+90% Ability Power) magic damage. Zac spawns extra chunks of Goo for each enemy champion hit.Can be cancelled by moving, refunding half of the ability's cooldown and cost.

R
ABILITY
Let's Bounce! (R):
Zac bounces four times, knocking up enemies hit and slowing them.

Zac bounces {{ bounces }} times, knocking back enemies for {{ knockupduration }} second and dealing {{ damageperbounce }} magic damage. Enemies hit with multiple bounces take {{ damagereductionbounce*100 }}% less damage and are not knocked up. Enemies hit by Let's Bounce! are slowed by [{{ slowamount*100 }}]% for {{ slowduration }} second. Zac gains movement speed over the duration and can cast Unstable Matter while bouncing.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Incredibly Tanky
Good AoE
AoE CC
ALOT of CC
Passive supports his all in playstyle well
Can Peel for carries
Unique ganking positions (Hard to see coming)

Cons

Weak early game
Not a very good skirmisher
Can get bullied out of Jungle easy.
Quite reliant on landing E
Can dive in, but not out.
Runes on Zac
Aftershock fits perfectly with Zac's gameplay. He jumps into their whole team and CC's them a bunch withouth dying. If you have aftershock it will be impossible to kill burst you down and therefore your team will easily be able to follow up.

Font of Life is my favourite rune in this column because in team fights you are going to be CC'ing them like crazy, and the heal your carries will get from hitting them may save their life. It's also great for skirmishes bot lane.

Conditioning is the only useful one on Zac as it gives him some mid game tankiness.

Revitalize is great because of his passive. You will be picking these blobs up in fights and when clearing, so the slight extra heal goes a long way. It will also help your support keep you alive.

Magical Footwear is a free 300 gold and abit of move speed extra. Its great for champions like Zac who don't need boots that urgently in the early game because he has a gap closer and he will pretty much stay ontop of them unless they dash away.

Cosmic Insight just gives Zac's spells and summoners more uptime which is great. His Flash can help him get a great engage in fights so it can be very important. It also gives him more abilities to use which means more heals^^.
Items on Zac
Enchantment: Cinderhulk is the best Jungle item for Zac because of the tankiness it gives and the damage it does to players close to him. There is no other option unless you are going for a troll 1 shot burst Zac build.
Ninja Tabi are a very good item on Zac because his HP bar wont move when he jumps into 5 players and the ADC is trying to kill you. I like it more than Merc Treads because Zac's ultimate makes him Unstoppable so they can't CC him while he's using this. However, champs like Thresh can stop his Slingshot which can completely ruin his engage and might get you killed, so Mercury's Treads is a good option too.
Randuin's Omen is my personal favourite item on Zac because of the overall tankiness it gives. It also reduces Crit damage done to you so ADC's wont be able to destroy you. The active is very strong on Zac because after your ultimate has finished you can slow them some more in order to catch them. Or, you can use it as soon as you go in to allow your teammates to catch the enemies near you.
Warmog's Armor is essential on Zac because of the HP it gives and the passive. The HP is great because it allows him to be tankier and his Blobs heal scale off of HP so this means bigger heals. The passive is also great because you can engage with your E and the enemies will use cooldowns on you in order to disengage. You can then stay back and just heal up to be ready to fight again with full HP.

Spirit Visage is a very good item to build on Zac against some AP champions. Not only does it give some tankiness but it also increases the healing you receive. The HP and CDR is also a nice bonus.

Adaptive Helm is an incredibly strong item on Zac because it will make you very tanky against those annoying spammy AP champions who can actually kil l you, like Cassio, and Corki, and Azir, and Ori , and Ryze, you get the point.
Dead Man's Plate is one of my favourite items in the game, it makes you insanely tanky and gives you movement speed, who doesn't like movement speed? It also deals some extra damage for him upon engaging and slows the target. More CC POG.
Thornmail is very good against heavy AD comps. They will kill themselves when they hit you because you will be so tanky. It also reduces attack speed meaning ADC's will struggle even more ontop of the other things i've mentioned. It also provided anti-heal which is great because the majority of champions have some form of heal and Aatrox is meta and I hate him.
Pathing on Zac
I will path like this most games:

Red Buff -> Smite Krugs -> Look for cheese bot lane -> Raptors -> Look gank mid -> Blue Buff -> Rift Scuttler -> Look top for gank -> Wolves -> Recall -> Krugs

This path allows you to be in position to gank nearby lanes incase they are killable or they get ganked. You won't even have to go too far out of your way. This path also allows you to get the 2nd Spawn Krugs as early as possible which is why I like it so much in this meta.

There isn't really a more efficient clear than this which is why I don't really change my game plan up.
Small clearing tips for Zac
-When clearing camps, use your E to get around the Jungle quicker.
-Use W before picking up blobs because when you pick them up it will reduce the cooldown of it allowing you to use it more.
-Try to focus on doing camps with more than one target because it will clear quicker and wont cost you as much HP. Pretty much what I am trying to say is don't do Gromp unless you have nothing else to do.
Ganking with Zac
Ganking with Zac is pretty straightforward, just land everything. One of Zac's best features, besides his looks, are how he is able to engage from strange, hard to ward positions, meaning they probably wont see the gank coming.

Try to avoid where the enemies may have warder by Slingshotting in from far distances. Once you're in the fight instantly W and then Q. Quickly use your second Q to anything nearby to drag them back. Zac will make low mobility champions games horrible because if they don't have Flash then Zac will kill them every time providing he has some follow up.

Tip: Zac second Q cast can be used on enemy wards and plants, so bear this in mind.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I think that Zac isn't really in the meta right now however he is still playable. His kit is unmatchable in team fights and you can pretty much solo carry on a tank. He feels really good to play, and overall is just a great champion to pickup. He is very unique and some of the most fun I have had on a champion.
