What Champion Shall I learn?


Today I will be talking about which champions are best to learn for the ADC role. This will be split into five categories: Waveclear; trading power; late game power; Duelling and Teamfighting.

Waveclear: Sivir has impeccable waveclear at 1 or 2 items and is very successful in 1-3-1 comps. If you want to be able to pin an enemy under tower then Sivir is perfect.

Trading Power- Miss Fortune is great at trading in lane. An E and Q bounce can cut an enemy's health by half and it can allow Miss Fortune to become a massive threat.

Late game power: Twitch is notoriously the best late game champion and shreds both squishies and tanks at full build. He is perfect to learn as a late game champion.

Duelling: Lucian has a very good ability at being a duelist. He offers lots of damage in short trades where he can use his abilities.

Teamfighting: Kai'sa is the best ADC right now in my opinion and should be in every ADC's arsenal. Her passive is great for both burs…

Today I will be talking about which champions are best to learn for the mid lane. This will be split into five categories: Early game power; Late game power; Side lane pressure; Teamfighting and Roaming.


Early game power: A good champion for early game power is Twisted Fate. His Q allows for reliable waveclear and poke along with his cards to allow for good trades in lane.

Late game power: Kassadin is a very strong late game mage and deals lots of damage once she collects her items.

Side Lane Pressure: A very good champion from the mid lane for side lane pressure is Ryze and once learned properly, Ryze is very rewarding as he can give lots of rewards.

Teamfighting: In a teamfight you want a champion with lots of damage and the ability to reach the backline. For this, Vladimir is the best because of his pool and the ability to deals tons of damage to everyone with just 2 or more items.

Today I will be talking about which champions are best to learn for the jungle role. This will be split into five categories: Ganking; Early jungle clear; Teamfighting; Counter-jungling and Late game power.


Ganking: If you are looking for a champion to learn is Rengar. His R is very good to get into a gank and when he is fed he can insta-delete squishies if he gets the opportunity.

Early Jungle Clear: A good champion for an early jungle clear is Udyr wo is very good in the early game. If you can utilise him effectively then he can be very annoying to deal with for the other team.

Teamfighting: For teamfighting a tank which can also deal damage is very good, so I am picking Sejuani. Sejuani is very tanky and if you build a bit of AP and an iceborn gauntlet, then she deals far more damage then you may expect. She also offers CC with her slows, E and R.

Today i will be talking about what Champions are best to learn for the top lane. This will be split into five categories: Lane power; Teamfighting; Late game power: Split pushing and Duelling.


Lane Power: A good champion to learn for lane power in my opinion is definitely Renekton. He is a very strong in lane champion with large trading power in lane and the ability to snowball out of control.

Teamfighting: An excellent champion for teamfights is Dr.Mundo. Mundo is extremely tanky and with his R on and deals a fair amount of damage even as a tank. He allows your backline to deal lots of damage whilst absorbing it himself.

Late game power: Fiora is a very good champion both in the mid and late game with a player who has enough skill. Learning her and hitting her vitals are very important yet very rewarding.

I've been trying out some Pyke to try to understand this champion that seems to 1v9 my team when on the enemy team and be pretty useless when they are on my team.

Gotta say that I feel like it is going to take more than 6 games.

Let's start with a preamble.

I don't like invading in most cases. It is too high risk. You stand to lose as much or more as you gain and you throw the entire jungle pathing out of whack so you and your jungler will have less of an idea of what pathing the enemy jungler will use.

But if you learn to setup properly to make yourself aware that an invade is occurring you will increase your likelihood of winning games. High percentage.

So this discussion is for everyone, not just junglers.

Is the game fun for you? Was it ever? Did it stop being fun at some point? Is it an addiction? I had a bad experience lately where the game just felt entirely negative; however I have come out the other side.

I downloaded League on 25th June 2018. As a 32 year old female, with no immediate plans to play ranked, I know I am not the typical 'target' audience. On the whole, I have been enjoying myself however my over-analytical empathetic brain has been wandering the rift asking questions such as why do people play? does it make them happy? are these games an important social interaction platform? what makes some people take the game so seriously? do people even forget this is a game? Why would someone int, flame or feed?

Positive Experiences

• A small number of people have offered me advice that has helped me improve my gameplay
• An even smaller number have taken the time to 'instruct' me
• I have made 'friends' and felt a sense of community and cooperation
• The infinite number of possible

I still need a map. Every time I get coaching this becomes readily apparent to me.

If I were to give a map to a new player it would look something like this.

Play a few Bot games to familiarize yourself with the the map, the controls, and the very basics of laning.

But don't spend a lot of time on Bots.

Start playing PvP as soon as you know which direction the enemy nexus lies in.

And don't expect to win right off the bat. That comes later.

Play in all the lanes and familiarize yourself with the characters that typically show up there.

If you really like one champion's kit. Great. The next step is to pick 1-2 champions and a lane.

Ideally, pick something that is strong in the META but not so strong that it is banned often.

The simpler the better.

I've been wondering a lot about my guides, I check them regularly to see if they got some new votes or comments, but not always I see what I expect. I put a lot of effort inside all of them and seeing them getting downvoted (enough to get to great to good score), being stuck in member score (for a lot of months at this point) or just them being in the shadow of a bigger guide makes me pretty sad. Now, I know what you are thinking "oh this guy just want to rant about stupid things", please stop right there and continue reading. Or leave, I don't know, maybe the matchmaking pop-up just appeared, in that case gl hf.

So... recently, as I said before, one of my guide got downgraded and when I discovered it in the morning I was feeling down, like REALLY down, and I was asking myself "Why I put that much effort in a guide that it's doing poorly? Why should I continue keeping up to date if it will be downvoted anyway?". It happen…

-I did decently at thinking about what I wanted to do at least as far as the early game went.
-I had a couple of flubs on this in the Mid game that cost us two Drakes, one of which was an Infernal.
-I need to direct my team if I see them in the wrong place or using too many resources in the wrong place.
-I need to move to the edge of the fountain when buying.
-The gamble I took to secure the first infernal drake was too big of a gamble with the information I had and the resources I had available.
-Did remember to drink my potions a couple of times when it was imporant
-Did fail to use my Stopwatch when it was important (use your actives!)
-Try to communicate with your laners what you need in the early game.
--Ask them to cover your jungle
--Ask them to ward the opposite side scuttle crab
--Tell them to collapse on them if they see them
--It makes the enemy jungler feel like they can't count on their team (the enemy Kindred pinged the heck out her Zed)
