Just Jungle things

Hey guys, the name is Morzanoth and this is the first in a small series of jungle Strategy guilds I'd like to make.

Firstly a little bit about myself. Im a jungle Main and have been playing since the end of season 4. I managed to achieve a final ranking of Silver 2 in Season 5 and am currently In Bronze 1 having last played before patch 6.2 ( Life happens you know). Dont know if there is much more to say so let me get it.

Having played a lot of games in low elo( and I mean A LOT) I personally know the struggle of climbing out. I know I'm probably the best person to give advice on this stuff, but seeing as it might help at least a few people ( also cause I got a bit bored), here I am.

The first little tip I have is probably the most obvious and most repeated things in every guild/video. PLAY FEWER CHAMPIONS. Now, I know having 130 odd champs to play can be tempting, but that doesnt mean you can just choose one at random or based on what you feel like on the day. Having played a jungl…

Picking a Jungler

Pick a champion with a fairly healthy three camp clear.

Pick a jungle champion with some crowd control.

Pick a jungler with gap closer.

Pick a jungler with some damage.

Pick a jungler with decent jungle camp clearing speed.

A good jungler combines the following traits: Good sustain. Crowd Control. Gap closer. Good damage. If they have all of these traits they can gank practically any lane and more importantly they have options as to how they want to influence the map.

Gank
Countergank
Farm
Counterjungle

If your jungler lacks the sustain to get through three camps with a decent amount of health all of the other options are pretty much off the table. They have to back and buy. Which may work out fine if your laners are holding their own and the enemy jungler hasn't already shown up to the tip the balance of power in the lane. But why be reactive when you can be proactive? Or to put it another way if you can you want to control the tempo of the game. For instance you can be …

We were going to have a baby.

You know, I'm pretty bad with children. I don't even know if I really like children. Sure, they're adorable, nothing warms the heart more than when a random stranger's baby has his gaze fixated on you. But whenever I play with someone's young child, they just seem to start crying around me and I have no clue what I did and I start panicking and think about all the thoughts that the parent will have about how wretched I am for making children cry. I'm just bad with children.

My brother in law, however, is the exact opposite. I don't know how he does it. Children just seem to love him, and he loves playing with children. Maybe it's because he's still a child at heart. One of the funniest moments from my recent trip to Greece was my uncle's very own four year old son, my cousin, rejecting his father and running to my brother in law. My sister, like most girls, also had fantasies about having children, and these were resonating strong within her as she grew up. My sister is delicate and c…

Three Things

Watching LCS games and lots of guides on how to be better at the game, if I had three pieces of advise for someone just starting out with ranked or someone toiling in Bronze/Silver like me they would be this:

1. Don’t die.
2. Don’t go places where you don’t have vision.
3. Keep an eye on the mini-map.

Every death is time you aren’t on the map earning gold, XP, or countering the other teams attempts to take objectives.

Treat every bush like it is a death trap with however many members of the enemy team you can’t see sitting in it waiting to ambush you. (I still screw this up from time to time). Support sad face. “But I just wanted to place a ward.”

I don’t know how many turrets have been lost because my teams have been bloodlusting over a run up mid. Getting turrets it is good. Sometimes even trading a turret is okay. But if you are trading an Inner turret for an Outer turret that is almost always a bad trade. You will almost never see this happen in an LCS ga…

Improving your LoL play.

Getting better at a game like LoL can be pretty difficult, And it's quite a journey too. You're gonna win games you should lose, Lose games you should win, win games that teach you nothing, lose games that teach you everything, win 4v5s, win 5v4s, feel bad about winning an unfair game, feel good about winning a game that was unfair to you, There's so many things that can happen on your trip from level 1 newbie to diamond I veteran.

This blog isn't going to be about how to learn LoL, how to get better, What strats to use, or anything like that. What it is going to be about is common mistakes, methodologies, and mentalities, that hold you back.

LoL is a huge game, There's at the time of writing this, 129 champions, and in order to be one of the best you have to know the inner workings of everyone, What they can do, what they can't do, Their strengths, and their weaknesses. That's a lot to learn already, pretty daunting, right? I mean, Until today did you know that Elise can one shot sc…

Silver's Blog #2: Sex and <3 <3 Nyaaa~

Hello again with my second personal blog here in MOBAFire. I'm not being much active here on this site for a few days because of my break on League. I have personal problems that I need to resolve because it affects my plays. So let's discuss my sexuality and my "luck" on finding that love...

My choice of sexuality

I've discovered that I am bisexual since my third year in high school. Initially, I like girls, but I also like boys. I have a big rejection over the fact, but I recognized and accepted it in my last year in high school (fourth year). I hid it, but my friends can see the signs that I am. And my result of hiding it is I've became depressed and paranoid. I felt that if I came out, no one will accept me.. They will reject me and feel isolated. I made myself trapped in a maze that I made myself.

As you remembered, I came out here in MOBAFire as a bisexual. You guys are the first ones who knew my sexual orientation. I've been hiding it for many years and these past weeks, it b…

Turret Taking Tip

If you are alone with at turret and healthy enough, move forward of the turret just slightly to tank the incoming mininon wave so the incoming minions will target you and not your minions. Focus on killing the enemy minion wave letting your minions target the turret and die to the turret denying CS to the enemy team. Once the enemy minion wave is dead then you can focus down the turret with your minions.

If your health is somewhat low you have a decision to make. Can you clear out the enemy minion wave fast? If so then nuke the minion wave and leave. This will give your minions maximum uptime on the turret and give you the greatest margin of safety.

If your wave clear is **** and your health is low, then just leave.

Also if you can push in an inner turret before 15 minutes. They have no armor.

State of Ranked

If by perchance you've been following my ranked thread you'll notice it looks like I'm on the wrong end of a blood bath.

The only time I manage to eek out a win is pretty much when my entire team does well or at a minimum two people on our team pub stomp.

Feels bad.

I'm not sure what all the dynamics are here. I haven't taken a break. I was climbing steadily in pre-season. Then ranked resets and WTF. I go 2-8 in placements on my main and 3-7 on my alt account. IIRC correctly only 1 of the games was competitive . My team either stomped or lost. From the record you can see it was mostly lost.

Post placements it has been pretty nasty in the trenches as well.

My thoughts on this.

1) You need to win lane hard now and quickly and start rotating because you can't count on your other lanes being able to be effective if they get even marginally behind. Stalling the game out to let them catch up rarely works now. I've picked up 2-3 kills in lanes and it doesn't matter if you don't…

Muramana Changse on PBE

RiotWrekz's explanation on the changes to Muramana on the PBE.

Agree that it makes the game easier. Thouh there was a certain satisfaction to be gained in those games where you used the active at appropriate times and turned it off at others. However, there was also a high level of frustration to be had if you realized you forgot to toggle it on, or were sure that you toggled it on only to not have it actually be toggled to active.

Trying to think of other toggles in the game. The two that come to mind are Cho'Gath's
