Introduction

What's up guys!? Here is my detailed guide to
Darius!
Some of you may have found yourself here because of the following: I play Darius, but I don't roll hard in the paint. I am good at Darius (because who isn't?) but I just want to up my game. Or, you are not sure which way you would like to face roll with this broken champion in League of Legends!
Either way, you've come to the right place. In this guide, you will learn how to build an effective and dangerous Darius. You will be on your way to achieve greatness through a method called dunking.
Dunking: When one uses Darius' ultimate to wreak havoc upon the enemy team and overall make your team weaker while encouraging yourself through triple kills.

Ghost:
I think this is one of the most crucial SS for a viable Darius. Firstly, it promotes mobility either for escapes or kills. Use this when chasing or getting away. Good to pop so you can quickly move around target for those

Ignite
I like to carry this bad boy around for those close call champions. Reduces healing on them (comes in handy for early top lane kills) and does true damage! What's not to love? You can swap this out for

Also, feel free to use other summoner spells. It's always about personal preference. If you enjoy having flash, take up flash. These are just in my opinion great summoner spells to use.
Abilities!

Darius gains 5% movement speed for each bleeding enemy champion.
Amazing passive. Utilize this when you are about to make a slam dunk ;)
Each stack of this increases the damage dealt by Darius' ultimate by 20%! Stack this bad boy five times and you'll be rolling in the kills!

You will be maxing out this ability first! It is a must and an amazing ability. You will notice that if the champions are hit by the blade (outside the circle) they take 50% more damage!

Yet another outstandingly useful ability! This ability slows down the champion, if an enemy is attacking you stack up your passive and then use this when they try to get away. It lowers the cooldown on it by 1 second for each stack of Hemorrhage. Great for slowing an enemy to get away, or to chase down an enemy and get the kill!

Once again, a vital ability to Darius. This ability pulls in poor victims while adding a huge bonus to his armor pen which makes this ability a great one. This with other armor pen items defeats anyone wearing armor. Good to use when opening up on someone. Pull them in, their first instinct is to run away, that's when you land a nice decimate.

This is considered one of the most over powered ultimates ever released in League! (It now goes on cool down after 12 seconds of killing a champion) The sole reason why players complain about this champion. Utilize this ultimate! If timed right, you can land yourself a penta, or use it to keep your team up with kills. Keep in mind, this does more damage with your passive stacked on the enemy and it does true damage! OP!!!
Feel free to swap out
Destruction
for
Weapon Expertise
. I mean if the opponent is loaded with armor it might be useful. Though with the items in this build and
Dariuss abilities, I don't think you need the 8% armor pen.
Keep in mind, these are just some talents I use. Feel free to explore and use whatever talents you'd like. If you don't want the tanky talents, you can refer to the Brute talent tree I have posted.

Runes
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: I use this to add some needed AD, helpful early game and if you aren't using
Ghost I would recommend getting movement speed quints.
Greater Mark of Attack Damage: Again, use this for extra attack damage, since this build focuses mostly on hp.
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: I like to use this to add the extra needed magic resist, can never go wrong with this one. You usually always face some AP.
Greater Seal of Magic Resist: Same reason as above, this allows some extra MR early game and let's you build health early.
Runes

Passive Unique: +10% cooldown reduction
Unique: +10 armor penetration
Very helpful when stacked with Darius' Apprehend ability, great against heavy armor wearers.

+250 health
+50 attack damage
+10% cooldown reduction
Unique: +10 armor penetration
Passive: Dealing physical damage to an enemy champion reduces their armor by 6.25% for 4 seconds. This effect stacks up to 4 times.
I highly recommend building into this. It provides the armor pen and the health.

Skill Sequence!
Apprehend: This is a very helpful skill to use when initiating a team fight or a solo fight. It pulls them to you while granting you passive armor penetration! I suggest using this unless the enemy has jumped to you. If the enemy has jumped to you first. I suggest throwing on
Crippling Strike. This slows their attack speed and movement speed. Then as they try to run away you land a
Decimate on the outer blade for 50% more damage and then pull them pack with
Apprehend. They shouldn't stand a chance.
Decimate: You can argue or not to use this next, or
Crippling Strike. They won't be slowed if you use this first. Usually an enemy when they pull them (which is your initiate move
Apprehend, their first instinct is to back away. This lands you the perfect opportunity to land a
Decimate with 50% more damage. You then usually can slow them with
Crippling Strike and by then your
Decimate will be off cool down. And you then should be ready for a
Noxian Guillotine.
Crippling Strike: Like I stated above, you can argue whether or not to use this second or third. Also, please keep in mind, the game is situation based.. So if you pull them into and think they are easy to get away, I'd throw a
Crippling Strike on them first, then land the
Decimate. This is also why I threw in
Ghost as one of your SS. So you can usually catch up to an enemy.
Noxian Guillotine: Many
Darius' do NOT know how to utilize their ultimate. I've seen so many use it too early, and end up turning the tides for the enemy team. I want you guys to pay attention to your
Hemorrhage stacks and keep in mind your Ultimate's rank. Many a times, people don't grasp the concept of how many stacks of their passive is on their enemy. You can stack this bad boy FIVE times. For 100% more damage. This can turn a fight, and you can take out a third of an enemy's health. One of the greatest things about this is that it is true damage. One of the only ways to counter true damage is to build hp. Many opponents will be victims to this ability.
Farming!
Farming on

There is a time when you should use

Please keep in mind, a smart enemy who sees you use your

If you are struggling on farm because the enemy has range, utilize your team, call out a gank and happy farming. If you can at least get the enemy to recall. There is a nice opportunity to farm your CS.
I would also like to point out that this is a team game. I know slam dunking the entire team sounds really fun, and it's okay to do it every now and then and maybe once a game. But in all honesty, if you're the only one on your team with kills. It negatively affects the overall team's ability to be successful. Share the love and share the kills!
Once you get a few kills with your ultimate, you'll do tons of damage with your abilities so just try to help out some of the other team mates. Once they have a few kills each, you can continue your killing spree.
Darius is an excellent harasser in team fights. With this build, you are the initiater, and the survivor. I suggest top lane as a start in 3's and 5's. This usually gives you the ability to get a kill early game and get going. Use your team mates for help as well, especially against a
Yorick. Don't let him get that first kill. It's not a one man show. If you go down say in 3's and you know your team will get the kill, lay off and let one of the bottom laners get the score. Just make sure the deal is sealed, don't want to lose out on a kill.
A
Darius that shares kills, is a honorable, loved
Darius. You have a higher chance of being honored, with of course good sportsmanship and your team will appreciate your acts as well.

I'm sure some of you noticed that this is mostly for a Twisted Treeline game. Haven't gone into great detail in 5's.
I would just like to point out, I won't be doing a Ranked Play. I'm sure most of you know,
Darius is usually banned pretty quick in Ranked games, so I see it pointless to even go into it.

Overall, I think this champion has great potential and should be played. I do kind of think his ultimate (especially teamed up with a
Chogath is absolutely absurd) is really over doing it. If they just took off the reset, I think this champion would be a great champion, without breaking everyone's heart.
So, this champion with the build above. Can outlast all the team fights, so even if your team dies, you usually survive and their team is low enough to start dunking. He is a very scary champion to face, along with a few others that won't be named. I think he is a great champion and encourage people to play him and give feedback about him. A nerf wouldn't hurt though :)
Please, please feel free to leave feedback, I'm always up for critique and your guys' thoughts and opinions!
