For nearly twenty years, Fiddlesticks has stood alone in the easternmost summoning chamber of the Institute of War. Only the burning emerald light of his unearthly gaze pierces the musty darkness of his dust-covered home. It is here that the Harbinger of Doom keeps a silent vigil. His is a cautionary tale of power run amok, taught to all summoners within the League. Decades ago, there existed a powerful rune mage from Zaun - Istvaan. At the end of the fifth Rune War, he became one of the League's first summoners. Too much a prisoner to the old ways of magic, Istvaan stepped further and further outside the rules of conduct in the League. In what was ultimately his last match, his reach finally exceeded his grasp. Sealing himself inside the easternmost summoning chamber, he began incanting the most forbidden of rituals - an extra-planar summoning. What exactly happened inside that chamber remains unknown. No champion came to represent Zaun that day in Summoner's Rift. Only silence echoed back from repeated knocks on the chamber door. The first apprentice who entered was cut down immediately by an unearthly scythe. What few who followed and survived were driven mad by fear, mere husks of men gibbering about crows and death. Afraid of the evil even Istvaan could not control, the League sealed all exits to the chamber, hoping they could contain what they could not destroy. Years went by, but the wooden figure within never moved save to slay any foolish enough to enter. Seeing no recourse to reclaim the chamber, the Council instead devised a use for Fiddlesticks: executioner. While he comes to life and seemingly abides by the rules of summoning in the Fields of Justice, what he awaits inside his chamber is unknown. His unmoving face yields no clues, and his scythe stands ready to strike down any who stand before him. Those who say 'you have nothing to fear but fear itself' have not yet felt the crows. |
Starting Items
Doran's Ring: This is a very good starting item for Fiddlesticks because It provides Ability Power, Health, and Mana Regeneration! All of these qualities in Doran's Ring helps Fiddlesticks early game. This item is strongly recommended by me to use because Fiddlesticks is very squishy and his mana supply is very low.
Amplifying Tome: This item is also great for starting item because it gives you more damage early game. You should also grab a Mana Potion because there is no need for a Health Potion when you can Bountiful Harvest a tank minion. However, if they have a lot of cc(crowd control) that can cancel your Bountiful Harvest, then you can get a Health Potion. This item will upgrade into a Hextech Revolver, Mejai's Soulstealer, or kage's lucky pick depending on the situation or your decision.
Boots: This can help you dodge most of the attacks of your enemy/enemies you're laning against. This item is fun because you can move a lot faster. Also, I would usually grab 3 Health Potions or 2 Health Potions and 1 Mana Potion. This item will upgrade into a Sorcerer's Shoes, Ionian Boots of Lucidity, or a Mercury's Treads.
Early Damage
Hextech Revolver: This item is really good on Fiddlesticks and I absolutely recommend it. This item gives you Ability power for more damage and spell vamp! Spell vamp is the perfect addition that adds onto your Bountiful Harvest! Your Bountiful Harvest more effectively heals you and is quite useful on your ultimate, Crowstorm. I love this item a lot! This item will upgrade into Will of the Ancients.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter: This item is important to have for more survivability, a slow for your abilities, and a great amount of Ability Power.
Boots
Sorcerer's Shoes: These boots give you Magic Penetration which makes you more powerful against your enemies's Magic Resist. I strongly recommended having this.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity: These boots can helps you have lower cool-downs for all your abilities. This item will help Fiddlesticks a bunch to get some kills.
Mercury's Treads: These boots give you tenacity (tenacity reduces the effect on snares, stuns, etc.) and gives you magic resist.
Core Items
Will of the Ancients: This item benefits Fiddlesticks because It increasing his ability power and increases the spell vamp to himself and shares it with his allies that are nearby! This item is really great in team fights with it's unique aura!
Rabadon's Deathcap: This is a really good item that increasing Fiddlesticks damage and gives a great supply of ability power. This item is the most important item to get!
Zhonya's Hourglass: This item is really useful on Fiddlesticks because it has great survivability and this helps for initiating with Crowstorm (with Zhonya's Hourglass's passive) especially in team fights.
Morello's Evil Tome: This item is execllent on Fiddlesticks because it provides him more ability power, shorter cool-downs and mana regeneration. Shorter cool-downs means the faster you get your ultimate, Crowstorm! How wonderful
Optional items
Kage's Lucky pick |
Kage's Lucky pick: This item provides a good amount of ability power and gives you 5 Gold every 10 seconds. This actually helps more then what people think!
Kage's Lucky pick |
Mejai's Soulstealer: This can be good for Fiddlesticks, but it's a high reward/ high risky item. You must be good at Fiddlesticks, never overextend, and stays at the back of your team. If you feel like your doing good during your game, then you may get this item. You can get it before Hextech Revolver and replace Morello's Evil Tome.
Void Staff: This gives Fiddlesticks more ability power and grants magic penetration to make yourself stronger against enemies who stack Magic Resist. This can replace Morello's Evil Tome.
Abyssal Mask: Another great choice to replace Morello's Evil Tome for more ability power and magic resist for yourself and your team! This can replace Morello's Evil Tome.
Archangel's Staff: This might be useful for mana and ability power. This is useful item for stacking some ability power!
Not Recommended
Lich Bane: This is not a good choice on Fiddlesticks because he doesn't auto attack enemies which is Lich Bane's passive main role.
Rod of Ages: I do not recommend this item because Rylai's Crystal Scepter is such a better choice because it immediately gives your the stats that Fiddlesticks needs.
Hextech Gunblade: Get real guys, Fiddlesticks is not Attack Damage.. Sure it gives you ability power, but it takes forever to get an expensive item that only provides 70 ability power? That's so useless, choose a better item!

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: I get these runes because it's a great counter against people who get Magic Resist.
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration: I get these runes for Fiddlesticks because he burns out mana quickly. These runes will improve his mana regeneration.
Greater Glyph of Ability Power: I get these runes for Fiddlesticks because you get to have some fresh ability power from the start of your game!
Greater Quintessence of Scaling Ability Power: These runes are good for Fiddlesticks late game! When he hits level 18, he will have a extra amount of ability power to make him much stronger and more powerful!
A Harmless Scarecrow: This is Fiddlesticks passive which lowers nearby enemies Magic Resist by 10. This makes Fiddlesticks and other ability powered allies stronger against your enemies during team fights!
Terrify: This is Fiddlesticks awesome fear! When this is maxed, it fears the targeted enemy up to 3 seconds! This is a great tool to help your Bountiful Harvest.
Bountiful Harvest: This the Fiddlesticks life-stealing move! It steals the Health of the targeted enemy and gives you all their health until they run out of the range of Bountiful Harvest or if they have any kind of crowd control. Such a cool ability!
Reap: This is Fiddlesticks's silence that bounces around enemy targets up to 4 times in a row. Great tool to stop enemies to using their abilities.
Crowstorm: This is like the coolest ultimate ever! You can teleport through a wall and assassinate the enemy that you are going after. It's really strong too, especially in team fights combined with your Zhonya's Hourglass.
Bountiful Harvest: This is the first ability that I max because it is really strong and really useful tool to collecting kills. |
Terrify: This is the second ability I max because this helps my Bountiful Harvest ability to securely get kills. Plus it has a 3 second long fear, how useful! |
Reap: This is the last ability I max because I prefer getting Terrify to help out Bountiful Harvest to get more kills. It still bounces up to 4 times at level 1 now. |
Crowstorm: And of course, I max this at level 16 because this is the best ability ever! This is the a really cool sneak attack. |
Simple Combo
Assassinate
Team Fights
2.) Zhonya's Hourglass
3.) Reap
4.) Terrify
5.) Bountiful Harvest (Anyone for Health)
6.) Ignite
Recommended Abilities
Flash: This is a really good summoner spell for Fiddlesticks that can be used to escape, jump in, etc. This also can be used to "double-blink" towards your enemies after you cast your ultimate, Crowstorm!
Ignite: This is another good summoner spell for Fiddlesticks because it can help finish off enemy champions. The neat thing is you can use it while your draining an enemy.
Optional Spells
Clarity: This is a summoner spell to replenish your mana quickly. Helpful if you or your teammates run out of mana and you don't want to recall yet!
Ghost: This is a great tool to running away without worrying about colliding with minions or champions. If you want this ability, you can remove the mastery point from
Good Hands
and place the mastery point to
Haste
.

How to play Fiddlesticks!
E A R L Y G A M E |
SPACE |
Fiddlesticks: At the beginning, I usually buy a Doran's Ring. I take any lane depending on my team. For Fiddlesticks you need to farm and get enough gold so you can buy items and play more effectively. Since Fiddlesticks is squishy and can lose health quickly in the lane, you may use Bountiful Harvest on a tank minion to regain your health. When you hit level 6, try ganking other lanes with your ultimate, Crowstorm! This will help you earn kills and get fed! Ward spots on the minimap to stay safe from enemy team ganks and to have an extra eye. This will help you alot and you should have enough to get Hextech Revolver and Rylai's Crystal Scepter by the end of early game.

Fiddlesticks: During middle game, you can solo the dragon with your drain! Destroy dragon whenever you can to benefit your team. Team fight may occur. Always ward baron Nashor and other key spots on your minimap. Balance lanes to earn gold too, and please don't use Crowstorm to farm the minions. Just use Reap on them. Also, get blue buff often so you can harass enemy champions more often. You should have gotten at least Will of the Ancients and Rabadon's Deathcap by the end of middle game.

Fiddlesticks: During Late game, Fiddlesticks deals tons of damage and can carry the team. Fiddlesticks can easily tank Baron Nasher with his 2 second Bountiful Harvest, so try to convince your team to get it! Many team fights occur in Late Game. In team fights, all you have to do is find the right moment and the right position to cast your ultimate, Crowstorm and use Zhonya's Hourglass when you begin to take some damage from your enemies. Don't rush when casting it because it deals tons of damage and you don't want to waste it! You may have completed the build by now. When you ace the enemy team, push middle lane and obtain your VICTORY!

1. The red circles is the most important to ward because it gives you sight to see if the enemy team is at baron nasher or dragon. I recommend using Vision Wards because they can destroy the sight wards that your enemy may place down.
2. The yellow circles are important to guard your own jungle's Blue Golem Buff and your Red Lizard Buff!
3. The orange circles let you spy on your enemy team's red and blue buff.
4. The blue circles are important for protection in your lane, prevents you from getting ganked from other laners / junglers.
