Hello, I am Hezarou. I would like to show you my take as Katarina, the way I think and play.
And this is my guide.
Pros - Aggressive in laning phase. - High AoE damage - No Mana - Healing mitigation ability - High mobility - 15s CDR on Kill/Assist - High burst damage |
Cons - Countered by any means of CC (Crowd Control). - Takes some time to fully master. - You could get punished or killed if you dive in the wrong way. - Only brings damage to the team. |
Get this item early on in the game, shred through that MRes, and their health.
Usually one of the last items to be built, this is great for endgame scaling.
Huge Dps boost, 120 AP + an overall of 30% AP.
Helps against most matchups.
You saw Ezreal's
Trueshot Barrage going straight at you pop Zhonya's ! You see Karthus's Requiem and you have low health, Zhonya's !
This items gives you a protected barrier that will protect you from CC effects. For an example:
Banshee's Veil can negate effects from items such as Luden's Echo and Hextech Gunblade .
Banshee's Veil's passive will block the vision-based components of Nocturne's Paranoia or Twisted Fate's Destiny .
Gives more survivabilaty.
You heal more from Triumph and Ravenous Hunter, It also heals you 150% Health regen after taking damage from a champion.
This item synergizes with Banshee's Veil , It provides Armor as it does Physical damage.
With a Resurrection on a cooldown, it can't be better than that!

Let's assume you got the first blood or got a kill/assistance, and you decided to go back to base.

Katarina leveling sequence. This will give you great poke en early.
This leveling sequence will give you high mobility early on in the game, this is great for those matchups with pesky champs that run away too much. You could also level your abilities this way if you feel unsafe in the lane.
Voracity | (Passive)
Whenever an enemy champion dies that Katarina has damaged in the last 3 seconds, her ability cooldowns are reduced by 15 seconds.
DAGGERS: When Katarina picks up a Dagger, she uses it to slash through all nearby enemies, dealing 75 - 285 (Based on levels 1/6/11/16) (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 55 / 70 / 85 / 100% AP) magic damage and consuming the Dagger.
Each dagger lasts 4 seconds before disappearing.
Bouncing Blade | (Q)
Katarina throws a Dagger at the target that then bounces to nearby enemies before ricocheting onto the ground.
The dagger then ricochets to the ground behind the primary target. The dagger always lands 350 units on the opposite side from where it struck the first target, getting there in the same amount of time regardless of how many times it bounces.
COOLDOWN: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 (Seconds)
RANGE: 675 Units
MAGIC DAMAGE: 75 / 105 / 135 / 165 / 195 (+ 30% AP)
Preparation | (W)
Katarina gains a burst of movement speed, tossing a Dagger into the air directly above herself.
Katarina tosses a Dagger into the air and gains decaying movement speed over 1.25 seconds.
COOLDOWN: 15 / 14 / 13 / 12 / 11 (Seconds)
RANGE: On-cast ability where you're standing.
BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90%
Shunpo | (E)
Katarina blinks to the target, striking it if its an enemy, or striking the nearest enemy otherwise.
If cast on a dagger, or walking over one refunds 78 / 84 / 90 / 96% of Shunpo total cooldown.
COOLDOWN: 10 / 9.5 / 9 / 8.5 / 8 (Seconds)
RANGE: 700 Units
MAGIC DAMAGE: 25 / 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 (+ 25% AP) (+ 65% AD)
Death Lotus | (R)
Katarina becomes a flurry of blades, dealing massive magic damage while she channels to the 3 nearest enemy champions.
Daggers that are thrown apply Grievous Wounds, reducing healing and regeneration by 50% for 3 seconds.
COOLDOWN: 90 / 60 / 45 (Seconds)
RANGE: 550 Units
MAGIC DAMAGE PER DAGGER: 25 / 37.5 / 45 (+ 19% AP) (+ 22% bonus AD)
