She has a difficult laning phase with her very long range poke, However, if you do see her use Q or E go in, have your finger on spell shield to block her Q. In the event you do get rooted use spell shield to block her R.
It is a match up that require you to be a bit more proactive than he is, the first thing you need to do is shove the wave hard to hit lvl 2 first. As we all know Talon is responsible for 25% of first bloods so getting level 2 before him is critical because your fear makes it very easy to kill him. In the event you do die first you have to play a tad bit safer as he can snowball the lane out of control, so call for jg ganks or look to roam when your 6 for other kill opportunities.
She has a very strong laning phase with her new charm which gives her bonus damage if your hit by it so try to go in on her at lvl 1, when she doesn't have charm or lvl 3 when you have spell shield. most Ahri`s are very predictable, when they are close to their tower or see you coming in fast they will throw it so watch her character model closely and when you see a change instantly hit W, even if your wrong it lasts 1.5 seconds so its not the worst thing that could happen. At 6 you need to wither her down to about 60-70% before going all in.
She has a unmatchable burst, but not until she hits level 3, so go all in level 2. Most LB play very aggressive in the early game and you must play off that, once she dashes in that's when you strike. Hit q then go in-between her and her shadow of her W and then use E. once your ahead you stay ahead and continue pushing waves till you hit 6 when you have to go all in before she hits 6. if you fall behind, ROAM and call for help or the game will collapse. (to tell which clone is the real one look which one is leaving a darkness trail behind).
He`s a very aggressive laner which means he does half the work of killing him self by running into you. First thing is level 2 (both of you), once he E`s in that's when you strike with Q and E. after that the lane should be a snowball and continue pressuring him at all levels past that.* his wind wall blocks your Q.
It truly is a hard counter to this build because of (A) Her passive Is soooo good in lane, as it will preserve her KDA and not allow you to snowball. And (B) She has great CC and unreal damage, her Q(Stun) always hits, and her E, And R always apply constant damage. And her Wall makes it so hard to keep fighting her because you don't have a dash, just movement speed. so you NEED to roam and call for ganks that's just about the only thing you can really do. AND DONT FEED HER OR ITS GG.
Has great poke lvl 1-2 but once level 3 just can abuse him so hard. as soon as he finishes using Q and even better if he uses W on top of that GO IN. he will try to use his stun as a last resort but most Xerth panic and use their stun immediately and its very predictable. If you do block it its a free kill, and you repeat that until the end of laning phase but be careful jungle ganks are common so Ward well.
She scales like no other champion, because her ult doesn't let her die. However in the early game shes quite weak so all in level 1-2 or even 3 if you can predict her slow. At 6 you can kill er because your fear will start working in her ult and you can et all 3 stacks of press the attack. win early because late you lose.
She has great poke with her poison and at level 2 its even stronger when she has her twin fang (E) to harass. But you can go for an all in play at lvl 3 when you have your spell shield because you can block her poison cloud which will save you from a good portion of her damage because her E resets if it hits poisoned targets. then just spam kill her until she's to far behind then start roaming
You can abuse his weak early game at lvl 1-2 and all in him, just don't tower dive as his passive does hurt a lot and towers are OP in the early game, plus e has a dash with his W.
This is by far the easiest match, shield his little hop pre-6 then only shield his R. Other than that go in whenever he uses ANY ability for wave clear as that's all the advantage you need to win.

So why nocturne? well first he is super fun to play, and watching people ask riot how he is balanced is definitely one of the funniest things to watch. Also, there are other high Elo nocturne players, one I want to point out is ilililliilliili a Korean nocturne mid one trick(His OP.GG -> http://www.op.gg/summoner/userName=ilililliilliili) He is diamond in solo queue which is equal to NA challenjour which shows this is not a troll pick.

- Extreme wave clear with passive
- Great roams with Ult
- winning match ups get you so fed and lead to easy wins
- Weak if behind
- Hard to play late game correctly
- Hard to survive early jungle ganks without items
- Bad match ups make it hard for you to be useful
These are my summoner spells of choice as ignite allows you to have kill pressure at the start of the game and combine that with Press the Attack you can kill at level 1 and start snowballing. And flash, well everyone needs flash unless your Singed
Teleport also works but only into losing lanes when you never have kill pressure, So Ignite is useless and Teleport is like the only other summoner that can be of use
Ghost ill try this but cannot see this ever being better than Ignite as Ghostwill be useless in the laning phase. In teamfights its better to have Ignite to stop their ADC from healing, rather than movement speed because normally they will have CC and then the movement speed it useless.
I have tested many key stones such as Electrocute, Hail of Blades, And Press the Attack and the best by what I have seen is Press the Attack. the reason Press the Attack is so good is that once you get those 3 hits off all your damage is increase by 8-12%. this not only increases your burst by a ton but also your dueling as you can quickly burst a target and your key stone wont go on cool down (However it will feel like it is but the effect from press the attack lasts 6 seconds and you cannot use Press the Attack until the effect goes off). Thanks to your fear its so easy to get the 3 Autos off and stay safe while also increasing the damage by 8-12% after has Definitely made this my Key stone of choice.
Electrocute is the second best key stone as it allows for quick immediate burst without warning as you don't need 3 Auto Attacks to prox it, now you only need 3 spells or Autos. its very easy to do since your ult Paranoia is 1, then your first Auto after ult is another, and with your Q Duskbringer its a quick 3 attacks for Electrocute. But it doesn't scale like Press the Attack does because having 12% increased damage in the late game is better than an extra 100 damage burst.
Hail of Blades was recently buffed (As expected) so now here is what I found: Hail of Blades is still not the best rune for Nocturne just because the other runes are so much better. but Hail of Blades is not trolling, it does provide a relatively strong laning phase, but does not give the same damage output. All in all, I would take Hail of Blades if you know your in a winning lane and you just wanna have some fun because if you want to win, go Electrocute or Press the Attack.
After doing some more testing, I have found that Lethal Tempo is not half bad, and here is why.
- Gives decent attack speed all through out the game
- Allows you to avoid building any Attack speed related item later into the game
- Helps your dueling AND activates in perfect time with your fear
For starting items always go Corrupting Potion as it allows you to take trades at any level and have some healing to fall back on, and since nocturne does have early mana problems the Corrupting Potion also helps with that. Long Sword is an interesting item as it does build into the Serrated Dirk but the mana problems do start to kick in, so if you do decide to go all in it better result in a kill or you might just have to back as you might be out of mana. but if you can make Long Sword work then it might be better, but until your very comfortable with the match ups I would stick to Corrupting Potion
These are my standard items for most games and in the order shown with the exception of the Boots which I buy and upgrade when ever I have enough left over gold. my first item is always Duskblade of Draktharr because while your in the mid lane you will normally always have a good 1-2 level lead on the other lanes which means the lethality that Duskblade of Draktharr gives is stronger as it scales with your level. second I go with Youmuu's Ghostblade because the passive on the item is good for roams. next Ravenous Hydra because it allows you to get even better wave clear which allows you to pressure objectives better and the extra 80 AD is always nice to have. then comes more tank items such as Dead Man's Plate or Frozen Mallet as they both provide a good amount of Health and a useful unique passive.
