Introduction
Tahm Kench is a Primary: Tank, Secondary: Support. I find it most preferable to play him Support, then Jungle and only lastly Top. ADC and AP Kench are not as effective and alsso I just don't like playing most squishies. For support you build tanky support. For Jungle and Top you build Tank-Bruiser. Even going full Tank, you will still deal tonnes of damage. This is my first build so if you have any legitimate criticism or if you find any errors I made, please post it below. Thanks.
R > Q > W > E
An Acquired Taste Passive
Your Passive buffs your basic attacks, causing them to deal AP damage based on a % of your Max Health. Hitting a basic attack, landing a Q or landing a spat out non-ally creeper with your W all apply 1 stack on an enemy champion. You can have stacks on multiple people, but the stacks slowly decay after a few seconds of not attacking/Q-ing. At 3 stacks, you can use your Q to Stun instead of Slow. This does not consume stacks. You can also use your W to eat the champion, consuming the 3 stacks.
Tongue Lash Q
Your Q will be your main damage source Q does crazy poke to squishies (280 base AP at lvl 5, crazy damage to squishies). Whenever you Q someone, it applies a stack of your passive. At 3 stacks, Q-ing someone will stun them. It is very important to remember that it does not consume the stacks, unlike your W. Therefore, you should nearly always stun before you Devour an enemy if possible. A Q which stuns deals bonus AP. Use the stun to catch up or to also land one more basic attaack before Devouring the enemy. Always use your Q as poke in lane.
Devour W
Your W can be used in 3 separate ways: on allies, on enemy champions and on enemy minions/neutral monsters, all of which make them untargetable.
Eating an enemy Jungler when fighting infront of a Dragon or a low-health Baron can REALLY help your team to get the kill on the Baron/Dragon. When not fighting over Dragon/Baron, generally Eat the enemy which does the most damage on their team so you can 5v4 instead of 5v5 for up to 3 seconds.
Thick Skin E
Your E has 2 Passives and an Active, all of them being based around Grey Health
Devour R
Your R teleports you w/ to a certain location on the map. It has a limited range and costs mana. When maxed out, its range is around half the map, but it does not scale. Your Ultimate is like a limited teleport which can take another person with you and has a much lower cooldown. It is a VERY good tool for ganking, whatever lane you might be. It can easily cut off an enemy without them noticing. It is also a great escape tool. Though it takes 1 second to disappear, if you are hit, the R cancels and goes on a 10 second cooldown. Therefore, flashing over a wall and Voyaging away w/ an ally can be used really well to escape. The difference between a good and bad Tahm is how you use your R. Use your R to get to lane quicker (preferably Ulting into a bush in river to cut off enemies if they pushed to hard), to give really good ganks, to sometimes escape and/or to make awesome backdoors.

-
Devoured allies or enemy minions/neutral monsters are kept in your belly for up to 6 seconds at max rank, however enemy champs only stay for half the time.
If you eat an ally, you gain MS towards enemy champions. When Devouring an enemy, you deal AP based on the target's max health.
If you ate an enemy champion, you slow yourself, reduce their vision and they are stunned for 0.25 seconds when they are spat out.
If you eat an enemy minion/neutral monster, you spit them forward in a straight line (stopping when hitting terrain), deal AOE AP damage (up to 300 base damage at max rank) and apply 1 stack of your Passive to those it hits.
-
Your Primary Passive is that 90% (at max rank) of damage taken is converted into Grey Health.
Your Secondary Passive is that upon leaving combat, up to 45% (at max rank) of the Grey Health is converted into normal Health. This Passive works REALLY well with Spirit Visage.
When activated, your E converts 100% of the Grey Health into a shield that lasts for 3 seconds, however it takes 2 seconds until the Primary Passive of the E recharges.

Your R teleports you w/ to a certain location on the map. It has a limited range and costs mana. When maxed out, its range is around half the map, but it does not scale. Flash Flash is non-negotiable. Good for a Flash-Q or to land another basic attack for 3 Passive stacks. Also works really well for W on enemies and allies. On enemies you can Flash-Eat or Eat and Flash out after you've spat them out. On allies, both Flash-Eat and Eat-Flash can be really good for escaping sticky situations.
Exhaust Exhaust slows movement speed and damage output on the target. Nearly always get Exhaust.
Ignite Ignite is viable for supports. When in a team fight, Ignite the ADC so they don't heal from lifesteal among other heals, or use it to pick up a kill your ADC can't.
Heal Only take Heal if you want to when your ADC doesn't take it. Most ADC's will have it, but if they don't, go for either Ignite or Heal. Heal will boost your movement speed and help chase and/or escape/survive.
Teleport Don't take teleport. Your Ultimate acts as a better Teleport. Just get a different spell.

Red Path
1. Start Red with a medium leash, no smite.
2. Move on to Krugs and smite at this camp.
3. Avoid Raptors until you're lvl 5+ and have backed, they are nasty.
4. Move onto Wolves and smite Wolves.
5a. Take Blue Buff if you have enough mana for Q's, onto Gromp and finally Rift Scuttler.
5b. Else, take Gromp and use no spells on Rift Scuttler to regenerate health man & health, then move to Blue Buff.
6. Take Krugs again if you have enough life and smite. If not, back.
7. After backing, take Raptors finally.
Blue Path
1. Start Blue with a medium leash, no smite.
2. Move on to Gromp.
3. Take Wolves and smite here.
4. Fight Red Buff.
5. Take Krugs and smite.
6. Go back to wolves.
7. Take Gromp.
8. Take Rift Scuttler.
9. Back. After backing take Raptors.
Note: In my first few times Jungling, I thought I could take Raptors. I was executed too many times and I now have irreversible mental scars. Not actually, but you get the point. If you've Jungled as Tahm enough times, you can play risky and try taking Raptors before backing but unless you're skilled, don't do it.

Pros
Cons
- Good against not only squishies but also tanks because of W % health damage
- R means you don't have to take TP and can be used more often. Also very good for ganks
- Your E means you have great health regen for sustain and can have a free massive shield.
- Your bonus AP on your basic attacks scales with Max Health.
- Even as a support, you can 1v1 champions mid-late game such as Nidalee (really easily), Ezreal (during mid-game) and Camille.
- You don't consume massive amounts of mana, meaning you don't have to buy a mana item and have better sustain.
- Eating your teammates makes them untargetable. This is good to stop a Caitlyn Ult or generally any sort of damage which locks onto a target.
Cons
- Can't do much against tank-shredding champions or ranged chapmions with a lot of lifesteal
- Really hard to 1v1 if you miss a Q in a 1v1
- Your only form of AOE is using your W to spit out an enemy minion/neutral monster, which has a high cooldown. That also means you can't eat allies/enemies in that time.
- Only have 3 mid-fight abilities since your Ult cannot be used in combat.
- Can't take Raptors early (or with great difficulty).
All in all, Tahm Kench is the champion which I find most fun to play. I main support and so I play him nearly always as support. Even if you don't like support, just give him a try. He can be one of the most fun champions to play and you'll save your teammates so hard if you learn to play him properly. It doesn't take long to get the hang of him, though the Thick Skin timing and proper use of Devour take a bit longer to master. If you decide to go a troll team w/ friends, pick Tahm Kench. It's so fun watching your allies despair as you eat them. For example: eating your Jungler and taking their Blue/Red Buff right infront of their eyes or spitting an ally into the middle of the enemy team, leaving them for dead and Flashing out. Devouring an enemy in your base and spitting them out (noting you can't Flash with an enemy inside your mouth) inside your Spawn is an easy kill, which has no counterplay except them Fashing out and being left on a smidge of health.
Tahm is an altogether well-rounded champion. He has good base damage output and scaling, deals adequete damage to both squishes AND tanks, he's tanky so he doesn't die easily and can easily remove an ally/enemy from a teamfight. If you get to know him properly, you can make godly saves and outplays. I would highly reccommend at least giving him a try. If you don't like tanks, then just build him full AP or AD, he still does crazy damage. I am a Tahm Kench Support Main, and I do not regret it in a single way. If you have specific questions which I didn't answer, please comment so I can get back to you.
