(boots, damage, survivability etc) 4) Pree sure I should rec this guide :P ------------- Previous review: 1) Mediation is better for Malphite's early game than Greed. I know you say your [[Philosopher's stone]] should take care of mana, but if Malphite is bottom lane and not solo top, he may not have a chance against that AD carry to get enough gold to recall and [[teleport]] back to lane with a Philo Stone at the 5-7 minute mark :/ 2) Then again, my above complaint is easily countered by, "But I'm getting 2 gold/10s, shouldn't Greed accompany it for even more gold earned?" So yeah, I guess it's up to personal preference. 3) I would run 0/9/21 on Malphite, purely for the reduction of [[flash]] and [[teleport]]. Malphite can easily keep a wave of creeps at bay (and champions) by standing near a dying tower and [[ground slam]] + [[brutal strikes]] to kill the wave. Malphite's ult is also game changing. Land it well, and enough times, and you're going to PWN the enemy team. His ult is truely and Unstoppable Force. If you do decide to run 0/9/21, you won't need the Movespeed Quints, due to [[quickness]]. Seeing as you don't spec dodge anyway in runes/boots, it doesn't seem worth it to spec the defense tree. You'd grab Quints of Fortitude or Armor for teh lulz. Another reason why I don't see the point in Quints of Swiftness is because of [[seismic shard]]. 4) "Not an actual tanky DPS, so offensive items don't synergize very well." lol, Malphite is actually the best tanky DPS in the entire game ^^ A steriod that gives you 40% attack damage for 6 seconds. That's astonishing. Build him like a melee dps, ie, Trinity, Youmuu's, IE, BloodThirster etc, and his damage is through the roof. Not expecting this in your guide though, lol. It's more of an interesting thing to note :) "Doesn't have a strong escape mechanism." His ult is a complete escape ;) [[seismic shard]] + [[ground slam]] + [[brutal strikes]] should make you virtually unkillable, unchasable and very much alive. If not, just [[unstoppable force]] over a wall. Worried it won't be up for the next teamfight? Don't, you've spec'd in the Utility Tree ;) 5) Going back to tree spec'ing. [[strength of spirit]] is pretty bad I believe, especially on Malphite seeing as his mana pool is really tiny. Maybe you could spec 9/0/21. 3 of Malph's abilities deal magic damage, and if you're jungling, the magic pen of [[archaic knowledge]] will speed things up. Not to mention extra cooldowns from [[sorcery]] ;) 6) Alternative seals would be good - like, more visible demonstrations of those alternatives. 7) With the questions within your guide, you could have them set out like in my Vayne guide ^^[/quote]
