For me it's definitely Varus. Although if we go beyond just one champion, I'd say any immobile AD Carry that is strong early but weak late game.

Varus is just so awful in my opinion. And here's my reasoning. What are the main reasons why the pro players started picking him?

-Good early game
-Great power spike with Rageblade
-Good poke and solid DPS if left untouched

Let me go over why those three reasons are invalid.

First of all his early game. Okay he has a good early game. So what? Most of the time when I see a Varus, he's unable to capitalize on his early game. And even if he does, if his team is unable to win the game quick enough, if the other team has a scaling AD Carry, the game is over once that scaling AD gets his items. Literally the only time when this isn't applicable is when the team playing against Varus has an early game champion too like Kalista or Draven. This isn't an invitation to hate them or hate on them, it is just a fact that you need to play around if you want to win.

At Silver and Low Gold you have to micromanage your team in the early game. The do not know gank timers, jungle paths, nor do they often look up from their CSing or trading to check their mini-map.

They will die to ganks from junglers that walk over wards.

They will die to ganks even after you have pinged out the location of the enemy jungler.

They will die to ganks even after they tell you to stop pinging because they see the enemy jungler.

As soon as an enemy jungler is not visible on the map your laners will forget that they exist.

I've seen an enemy jungler go Top > Mid > Bot killing Rift Scuttlers along the way and get kills or summoner spells despite the fact that it is completely obvious what their plan is to you as the jungler.

If you know where the enemy jungler is at you need to type it out. If you see them on a ward you need to type it out.

Found this jungle coaching gem while checking out PsiGuard's Rek'Psi guide.

It is a video of H4xDefender coaching a D5 jungler (Tahm Kench main) on Rek'sai. The actual jungler is not all that important as most of the concepts discussed were simply about jungling itself, which H4xDefender says is where most people fall down (the macro side, not the mechanics side).

Flash

If you use your Flash aggressively it needs to be worth it. E.g. Flashing for first blood even though you end up dying. Worth.

Flashing to get a kill that gets your team an objective even if you die. Worth.

Flashing just for a kill later in the game and dying? Not worth it. 1 kill = 300g (approximately). Your Flash is almsot always worth more than 300g.

Invading

Invade when your laners have priority. You don't necessarily have to hard commit to anything, but you can bully the enemy jungler which puts pressure on the jungler and his laners, because they have to choose between farming and helping their jung…

Case in point - If the enemy is sieging your mid base turret and your Mid laner has to go back to the fountain to heal up from being poked down and your Support is trying to set up a Banner of Command minion in Top lane then you can't engage even if your ADC gets caught. Some of you may remember me as that dude with the average Katarina guide which has a lot of views just cause it's been out for a while. Or...well...possibly none of you remember me. What changed?
This patch, while not necessarily big, did make changes to quite a few champions and items. The focus of this patch seemed to aimed at primarily lethality users. More specifically it seemed to be aimed to the junglers. Almost all the changes to these lethality users were buffs or side buffs, so expect a lot more aggressive AD mid lane and jungle picks to be seen.

While this will undoubtedly effect the meta, bot lane had a few changes as well. For supports, Shurelya's Battlesong was added into the game as a alternative to Turbo Chemtank for non-tank supports. For ADCs

I was inspired to play Jhin mid while playing jungle with my friend who was mid facing against a Jhin who was mid (I was jungle, my friend was Kassadin mid who was versing against a Jhin mid). In the game my friend got bodied facing against a Jhin mid because he was new. The Jhin got destroyed early game by my Master Yi due to bad positioning, but I don't blame him because he kept killing my friend since he didn't know how to dodge skill shots. The Jhin was over confident and I punished him for it, at the end of the game we won, the Jhin went 23/11/4 and I went 27/11/8 as Master Yi. There are several things to take away from this coaching session, but the one I found most interesting for where I am at is what to do when an enemy laner is running Ignite.

So you run Ignite for increased kill pressure. Other summoner spells tend to scale better later in the game, so that means you will want to use your Ignite to get kills early. That probably means a laner with Ignite is going to play aggressively.

As jungler, what do you do with that information?

How about camp the laner with Ignite? Watch them to see if they are playing aggressively. If so, be there in order to counter the aggression. When they fully commit and use their mobility spells such as

Some interesting points about playing ADC, but the main point of interest to me was pointing out instances when the person being coached should have reset to take advantage of an item spike or simply be safe and efficient while pushing.

A couple of the key points are discussed starting at 12:27, however if you only watch that you want to back up to when the person being coached and their support start their push in Top lane.

I particularly like the point about hey you only have 3 ranged minions which will only allow time for getting a couple of shots on the full health tower. Why not go get some vision (put down wards) so you are safer and then when your full minion wave arrives you can spend time sieging the tower if your wards don't tell you that you should be getting out of the area.
