About me!
Hello and welcome to my guide!
My name is Ugur from Germany and I play on EUW.
I have been diamond for 3 seasons now and am looking to go beyond and ultra!!
I have picked up to fully play Garen at the beginning of 2020.
I also am trying to stream almost every night from 8-10 pm EU time.
So if you have any questions and I happen to be streaming you can drop by and ask me anything about Garen :)

About Garen!
Garen:
The easiest yet hardest champion in league!
Easy: Abilities are obvious.
Hard: Abilities are too obvious for the enemies (no real gapclose).
Why would you pick Garen?
Garen has an easy kit, damage and tankiness!
If you look to improve your game in league and climb then Garen is your best friend.
Why?
Garen helps you to improve the fundamentals you need to get better at league. He helps you focus on thing outside your champion like minimap, jungle tracking, CD tracking and such.
Secret tip:
Garen's Passive does not get cancelled when you shield incoming damage.

About Top lane!
Top lane the isolated island, the place of epic 1v1s (actually 1v2 cuz enemy jungler always ganks and ours doesn't, am I right? ;) )
Top lane is one of the best lanes to play SOLO Q, you literally are playing alone!
Make sure to last hit as many minions as you can as it is the main source of EXP and gold !!!
As much as minions are important your own life is even more important!!! That means in Ranged matchups you should not try to get 1 minion but lose half your HP bar.
Extra tip: If the enemy has a bigger wave than you stay back and heal up with your Passive and wait for the wave to crash into you~
Your trading pattern:
AA Q
AA Q E (for short trades walk away and for all in stick to the enemy)
AA E AA Q (Best one against tanks or champs who can deny your Q (Jax/Shen/Fiora)
E towards enemy -> Q(while spinning) AA (Best one for ranged champs especially Teemo)
Now that we know in which sequence we can trade, WHEN do we trade?
Before we go for a trade we have to first watchout for the state of the wave.
Does the enemy have a lot more minions than us? -> don't trade!
Is the wave equal or we have more minions?-> trade
So let's say the wave is equal and both you and your enemy are looking to farm. Your job is now to not only watch the enemy minions health but also your own minions health! When your minions get low -> the enemy will try to last hit them.
THAT is our trading window!!!! When the enemy is trying to AA the minions stand next to your minion and AA Q them!
The other scenario where we want to trade is when the enemy wastes his abilities on the wave! This is where we have more spells than the enemy!
Extra tip: Make sure to use your W to either deny enemy CC (Irelia E, Renekton W, Jax E/Teemo Q) OR block crucial damaging spells (Darius Q/ Jax W/Riven R). In some Matchups you will need your Q for free yourself from slows so keep it up for them (Malph Q/Nasus W)
We only have to know 4 Wave managements :)
Shoving/Slow pushing/Freezing/Pulling
Shoving: Pushing the wave as fast as possible into the enemy tower using abilities(speed over getting CS).
When? The enemy based and the wave is already slowpushing into them-> shove.
You hit a itemspike and need to back? -> shove
Your jungler is about to contest top scuttle? -> shove
Slow pushing: Only last hitting and staying in lane/ Killing ranged minions and leaving lane.
To be continued!!!!
