Not Updated For Current Season
This guide has not yet been updated for the current season. Please keep this in mind while reading. You can see the most recently updated guides on the browse guides page
Niko is now very strong against you, E through creeps, very high damage with combo. She is much more useful in the early game than you are in 2v2 fights, so avoid the crab fight with her. She will poison your life, but as soon as she spends her E, you jump into her and kill.
Malzahar
Malzahar is now insanely strong. He will not allow you to farm normally, poisoning your life with his E, which moves to an adjacent target if it dies from it. He has a passive spell shield, a huge amount of AOE damage. His ultimate completely counters your blast, which forces you to play carefully and wait for Malzahar to spend his R, or you have to spend 1300G on Quicksilver Sash.
Aurelion Sol
Deals quite a lot of damage at lvl 3, harass under the tower with his W, roams great with E, while you can't afford to lose farm. Endure up to lvl 6.
Katarina
You counter her, you have more damage from combos, but stay alert in the early stages. After lvl 6, always prepare your Q to interrupt her R. Nowadays the AD build is popular, so exhausting seems not a bad option, although the nerf on her R made it much weaker in this build.
Akali
Play carefully, Akali loves snowball. You can harass combo Q + E, Q + W + E. Throw E into the smoke. Over time you will understand how to dodge her skills.
Diana
Deals quite a lot of damage to it's combo, but you are stronger, only be careful with creeps. She also surpasses you a lot in mid game.
Azir
Very unpleasant up to lvl 6. Can hold back your snowball. His W + AA + Q + AA will do more damage than your combo. Remember that he has large E cooldown. Azir also scales a lot and takes a lot of damage after buying Nashor's Tooth, so he can't be feed. From lvl 6 we can kill him, but carefully with his R. Many Azir are afraid of Kassadin, because they consider you their counter-pick, but in fact, you should also be afraid of him on the lane. However, in the late game you can easily kill him.
Fizz
You counter him, but remember about his E. After lvl 6, be ready to dodge his R, then attack.
Ekko
You counter him, if you watch him and don't feed him, then you will absolutely always do more damage with a combo.
Galio
Not a difficult match, it doesn't really interfere with farming, although it strains up to 6 lvl. And for heaven's sake don't stand in its wind.
Ahri
Your R lets you dodge the charm. Then you know what to do.
Annie
Not a difficult match, watch her passive, because only with her will she kill you.
Lux
A simple match, although she will annoy you with her E at the beginning, dodge her Q and kill.
Lissandra
Not very dangerous, but strong in teamfights. Better to attack when she spends her E.
Morgana
If she does not have Q, then she dies. Bring down her shield before using your E.
!!!After nerfing Fleet Footwork, Ravenous Hunter and Seeker's Armguard
became a really unpleasant match. Either you ban him, or learn this matchap through blood and tears.!!!
He's very dangerous at the lane stage, buy boots and learn to dodge his Q. It's important to go to Seeker's Armguard. Warn the team if Zed disappears from sight. Don't chase him if you see that he went to another line, because he may be waiting for you in the bush, it's better to give a teleport (if you did take it) there when the heat starts.
Pantheon
Farm under the tower and poke him with Q and E. Remember his CC with W. Tolerant match under the tower. If you push plates, remember that he can always come to you with his R.
Irelia
Wins any trades. Hard to kick out after buying Vampiric Scepter. Bait her on the dive. It's better to clear the waves as quickly as possible so as not to let it go away, always keep an eye on the fights on the map and warn those (if possible help) who she went to.
Talon
Talon is a bad matchup because you can't farm near him due to his combo damage. He pushes and roams, but you can't answer him anything. Don't follow him, or he will kill you from behind the bush. The whole lane stage against him is farming under the tower.
Yone
Strong on the lane, hard to kick out after buying Vampiric Scepter, strong dives. He has a lot of vampirism even with reduced healing.
Nocturne
His W increases duel potential and negates your poke. Q allows you to push hard with a passive and harass under the tower. His R will allow him to kill you or roam hard, you cannot push and take tower plates until you have accurate information about his position. Any mistake will result in death. However, it has very little mana.
Lucian
He will annoy you, farm under the tower at the beginning. Your Q cancels Lucian's ultimate.
Yasuo
Unpleasant match, you will be farming under the tower. In general, it is possible to kill him after level 6, if you dodge at least one Q and wind. After buying 40 AP, you can poke him very often and a lot, after 6 lvl you have even more opportunities for poking. Rape him.
• Hyper carry • Insane scaling • Huge snowball potential • Great mobility and strong roams • Ability to move through walls • Strong dives
Cons
• You need to understand how much damage you do • You need to understand when and where to enter a team fight • No damage early, if not Electrocute • Hard to play when you fall behind • Mana control at all stages
FLASH
COMBOS: • While casting Riftwalk use Flash(in that order!) — This combo allows you to cover a large distance almost instantly, which can help you kill or quickly exit the fight. • While casting Force Pulse use Flash — This combo has a great AOE effect. You use Flash during casting to instantly slow down or finish off your opponent. Many do not know about this opportunity, use it. • If you need to finish off, press Null Sphere on the enemy out of range beforehand, after which we give Riftwalk + Flash. Null Sphere will automatically apply, preventing the enemy from reacting. • There is a similar combo with Nether Blade. Before jumping into the enemy, activate Nether Blade followed by Riftwalk + Flash. Next comes the standard combo. The auto attack again prevents the enemy from reacting.
TELEPORT
Teleport is the most stable second summoner spell on Kassadin because it allows you to always come to team fights on time, conveniently farm or push sidelines, and return to the lane in the early game without losing farm. The main scaling tool for Kassadin.
IGNITE
Ignite is a very risky summoner spell for Kassadin, because you lose the ability to return to the lane without losing your farm, that is, if you are killed or kicked out of the lane, then you will lose a lot of experience and money. But there is also a huge plus in this summoner spell, it can allow you to commit early kill, which will start a snowball that Kassadin is madly in love.
BARRIER
Barrier is a pretty useful spell against assassins like Zed or diving champions like Irelia, because often the enemy doesn't think you have some extra health. Champions such as Irelia dive under the tower, but are killed by themselves due to the lack of damage you absorb Barrier. If you are against Zed, then after pressing Barrier, he will 100% return to the shadow with lost HP and no casting, which allows you to finish him off with absolutely impunity within 4-6 seconds (unless of course he will finish you off with an auto attack).
EXHAUST
I rarely use Exhaust because it is useless against most AP champions, although it can also be useful against AD opponents, including Irelia, Talon and Lucian. Exhaust is inconvenient to use against Zed, because he has a non-target in Death Mark, which he uses after immediately closing the distance, it's better to use Barrier.
• Electrocute gives you profitable traids, boosts your explosion and snowball early on.
• Taste of Blood strong in the early game, heals when pokeing an opponent, which is fairly easy to achieve. A powerful rune to help you stay in the lane in the early game if you didn't take Fleet Footwork. • Sudden Impact a viable anti-squishy rune that increases your explosion. Don't take if you are without Fleet Footwork.
• In general, people choose which rune to take in this section, but I recommend Eyeball Collection because this rune helps snowball.
• Ravenous Hunter gives you the omnivamp that Kassadin really needs, especially after Rog of Ages was removed. This rune gives you a lot of sustain in the late game, replacing the early Taste of Blood. • Ultimate Hunter allows you to use Riftwalk with CDR in 1+ seconds. Murderous rune.
• Fleet Footwork is an important rune if you want to stay on the lane as long as possible. It is strong in the early game through her health regeneration (especially with Taste of Blood). And just as strong in the late game, recovering around 500 HP per AA. This rune is an important element in the scaling game, it is also bread and butter in any matchups where you are not sure of your victory.
• Overheal just works well with Fleet Footwork and Taste of Blood, increasing your sustain on the lane. A good rune if you are confident that you can restore all your health. • Triumph heals you, that's all. • Presence of Mind is a strong late game rune but lacks weight in the early game.
The choice between Triumph and Presence of Mind depends only on your playing style. Try both options in different matchups.
• Legend: Tenacity is the only possible choice as it gives a very useful 30% tenacity.
• Coup de Grace is the only possible choice among all three options because it increases your burst.
• Demolish is the only possible option of all, as it increases the split-push potential of Kassadin both to mid in the early game and on other lanes later.
• Bone Plating is a very powerful rune that will help you win a bunch of doing or absorb a lot of damage, which you have nothing to answer, it fits literally in any matchup. • Second Wind works well against ADC heroes along with Doran's Shield, restoring you a really decent amount of health in lane from enemy pokes.
• Overgrowth is a really good option to mitigate the removal of Rog of Ages.
• Manaflow Band is a good choice for early deals with the enemy in order not to lose a lot of mana in the lane stage, but you need to take good care of your health.
• Transcendence is a very nice rune that allows you to use your Riftwalk more often, which is also needed for Kassadin. • Absolute Focus increases your burst damage during surprise attacks, can be used for assassin playstyle.
