About Lissandra

Lore

Lissandra’s magic twists the pure power of ice into something dark and terrible. With the force of her black ice, she does more than freeze – she impales and crushes those who oppose her. To the terrified denizens of the north, she is known only as “The Ice Witch.” The truth is much more sinister: Lissandra is a corruptor of nature who plots to unleash an ice age on the world.

Centuries ago, Lissandra betrayed her tribe to evil creatures, known as the Frozen Watchers, in return for power. That was the last day that warm blood ran through her veins. With her corrupted tribesmen and the strength of the Watchers, she swept across the land like a terrible blizzard. As her empire spread, the world grew colder and ice choked the land. When the Watchers were defeated by ancient heroes, Lissandra did not lose faith and swore to prepare the world for their return.

Lissandra worked to purge all knowledge of the Watchers from the world. Using magic to take human form, she masqueraded as numerous seers and elders. Over the course of generations, she rewrote the stories of the Freljord, and so the history of its people changed. Today the fragmented retellings of the Watchers are seen as children’s tales. But this deception wasn’t enough – Lissandra also needed an army.

She set her sights on the noble Frostguard tribe. Lissandra knew corrupting the Frostguard would take centuries, and so she launched her greatest deception. She murdered and stole the identity of the Frostguard leader. Then she slowly began to warp the tribe’s proud traditions. When her human form grew old, she faked her own death and then murdered her successor to steal her identity. With each generation, the Frostguard grew more insular, cruel and twisted. Today, the world still sees them as a noble and peaceful tribe that guards against evil creatures like the Ice Witch. In truth, they now serve the witch and long for the glorious return of the Watchers.

Lissandra knows that on that day nations will fall and the world will be reborn in ice.

Introduction

Hey guys and welcome to my first ever guide and this one is for Lissandra The Ice Witch

I hope you like this guide and if have any questions about feel free to post a comment :D
I like to play Lissandra as a pretty tanky APC because her 'e' makes her go into the fight so if she doesn't have much health she will die instantly

Check out my Youtube Channel :D: http://www.youtube.com/user/Tehdarksidegaming?feature=guide

BTW this is still a work in Progress and I will make my own videos for some of the new chapters :D

Pros / Cons

Pros
+ Very good Harass
+ SO much CC :D
+ Very good initiator
+ Seksi Voice :P
+ Very good and fun farmer

Cons
+ If her passive is not used well at the start you can run out of mana quickly
+ Her Glacial Path goes pretty slowly so its pretty difficult to dash onto an enemy
Back to Top

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush

I go with these runes because they are really good for damage and early game mana sustain
I sometimes use Armor seals instead of Mana Regen seals I still havnt decided myself :/

Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
I use these because you will have very good starting AP and even just with those three quints you will have around 15 more starting AP

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration
These will give a good damage start if you are against someone with a lot of MR at the start and this also helps in the mid game a bit

Greater Glyph of Ability Power
I like taking these because you can get even more POWER and also because they are good to have for an APC

Greater Seal of Mana Regeneration
These are good for early game sustain and if you're jungler is falling behind and needs blue buff you can let him have it and be a nice man :D
Back to Top

Masteries

POWER in the early game stage and as you can see I put the rest of the 9 points in utility I think that by doing this you will have better sustain because of Meditation and Expanded Mind
Back to Top

Summoner Spells

For Summoner Spells I like to use Flash and Ignite because these are the main spells that go well with a lot of the champs

Other Choices
Heal
this is viable as well but if you are in a draft pick and you are against someone that is really OP I advise you to take this but still try to take Ignite for extra POWER
Exhaust
I wouldn't take this firstly because I don't like using it for minds but the other reason is you don't need it because you already have a lot of CC
Teleport
This is good for the late game because you can get to farm quikly. it can be good early to mid game as well because you can get back into lane quickly as well
Barrier
Not the best choice but if you really want to use it go ahead. just remember is doesn't give you POWER and defence :P

Don't Take:
+ Clairvoyance (just get wards instead of wasting a spell slot)
+ Revive (no point unless you ar not high enough level to get anything else)
+ Smite (Unless you are YOLOing and go jungle)
+ Cleanse(This is more for ADC's)
+ Clarity (don't bother with this because you have you're passive and all the Regen you have)
+ Ghost (with flash and Glacial Path I don't think you need this)

Abilities

In this chapter I will tell you about her abilities and some tricks you can use with them :D

Her Passive
Iceborn
Every 18 seconds, Lissandra's next ability costs no Mana. Cooldown reduction does not affect Iceborn, but the cooldown is reduced by 1 second whenever Lissandra impairs an enemy's movement with an ability (does not apply to movement-impairing effects from items).

I love this so much because you don't have to use so much Mana early game and if you can master this you won't lose any Mana and then you can laugh at the enemy :P

Her 'q'
Ice Shard
Throws a spear of ice that travels in a line and shatters when it hits an enemy, dealing 75 / 220 / 245 / 180 / 215 (+65% of ability power) magic damage and slowing its Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds. Shards then pass through the target, dealing the same damage to other enemies hit (but not slowing them).

The good things about this ability is that it has a low cooldown and it looks like it short ranged but if you can hit a creep it travels further. THIS IS ALSO YOUR MAIN DAMAGE OUTPUT

Her 'w'
Ring of Frost
Freezes an area around Lissandra, dealing 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to nearby enemies and rooting them for 1.1 / 1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4 / 1.5 seconds.

This is a small AOE that roots the enemy (they can still attack but they can't move). This move works so well with Glacial Path because this makes you go right to the enemy and then after that you can root them and then kill them with your POWER. This ability is also a very good farming ability and easy to land.

Her 'e'
Glacial Path
Casts a claw of ice that moves forward in a line, dealing 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to all enemies hit. Reactivating this ability transports Lissandra to the claw's current location.

This is the move you will use to initiate a fight because you reactivate it to go right to them then use Ring of Frost and then Ice Shard for an easy hit. this ability is very fun to use because it can confuse your enemy and you can use it to go through walls so you can juke everybody :D. The only bad thing about this ability is that it has a long cooldown :( but it is very OP because it can also be used as a chase down move as well

Her 'r'(Ult)
Frozen Tomb
Enemy Cast: Freezes target champion solid, dealing 150 / 300 / 450 (+70% of ability power) magic damage and stunning it for 1.5 seconds.

Self Cast: Lissandra encases herself in dark ice for 1.5 seconds, becoming untargetable and invulnerable but unable to take any actions.

Dark ice then spreads from Lissandra's target dealing 150 / 300 / 450 (+70% of ability power) magic damage to enemies. The ice lasts for 3 seconds and slows enemy Movement Speed by 20%.

Firstly this is the most trolly Ult known to man...But I Love It :D This Ult is pretty much a Zhonya's Hourglass but it does damage at the O_o. But that's why they have good synergy. This Ult Has a pretty good range and scales well with AP and has a high cooldown at early levels. This Ult can be used very well for baiting people to try kill you under a tower because then you pop that and you get a free kill cuz you are too POWERFULL.

Items

Core Items

Pretty obvious... it gives you MP so you can do more damage to highly MR'ed targets. I would not advise you to get any other boots because for example if you get Boots of Lucidity what's the point because you will also get Athene's Unholy Grail so you will lose MP and get some more CDR I don't think this is a very good sub. I also wouldn't advise you to get Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads because you will get Abyssal Mask and Zhonya's Hourglass so you don't need that extra Armor and MR

This is and essential item for all you Lissandra players that are reading this. This seksi Rod ;) is amazing it gets you tanky and gives you a some AP but don't worry Rabadon's Deathcap will save us from having 0 POWER

I have always wondered why to staffs made a cap but I don't care any more because it gives you so much POWER. This amazing item gives you a huge advantage in your lane so I would recommend trying to farm till 1600 gold so you can get Needlessly Large Rod.

After the core items

This item is amazing... I just love it
it gives you 70AP plus 45MR and if they have someone that is AP and fed on the other team this will help you a lot.

wow....just wow...
When you get this item you are soooooo tanky and you deal TONS OF DAMAGE. if you combo this move with Frozen Tomb you will have around 4 seconds of invulnerability which is OP. If you are going to get this item I recommend getting Needlessly Large Rod instead of Seeker's Armguard. You can get this item earlier if they have a really fed ADC or AD bruiser. If this is the case take it in place of Abyssal Mask

Keep running out of mana well this is the answer :P. This item gives you immense amounts of Mana Regen and CDR. This is very viable with her and can be subbed into the build if you need it

This is also a pretty viable item because it gives you CDR, Mana Regen and some good AP. I would take this if I needed it (mind you it is very similar to Athene's)

This gives you a very good AP boost plus it also gives you CDR adn thanks to this item's passive it makes a 1v1 fight turn to your side

Void Staff gives you AP but the main point of this item is that you will be able to destroy MR on the enemies because it gives +35% MP

This gives some good health and AP. Oh and don't forget about the passive as well. If you are going to build this item i recommend building Haunting Guise first or if you can just buy the whole item

If you have been following my build I don't think you would really need this item. the only time you would get it is when you need more survivability because of the passive.

Rylai's is useless for the CC because Lissandra already has so much built in CC. The only Reason you would get this item is because of the Health and AP

Farming

When Farming with Lissandra you have to do this:

Early Game:
In the early game stage I like to use my spells when my passive is up so lose the least amount of Mana possible. I use Ice Shard to farm from a distance and also if you use it well and hit a minions the range on it actually increases and you might get some harass in as well

Mid Game:
In the mid game when you have MOAR POWER you can pretty much take out a whole minion wave with you're Ice Shard and you're Ring of Frost

Late Game:
At this point you have too much POWER and can one hit minion waves with Ice Shard and if anyone tries to kill you, kill them :P

Jungling

I will Release this Chapter Soon :D

Ganking

In this Chapter you will learn about ganking Top and Bot Lanes
To start off with Lissandra is a surprisingly good ganker if you are able to use her Glacial Path well.
When approaching a lane to gank you have to use [Glacial Path]] to enter then follow up with Ring of Frost. After doing this your top/bot lane partners will be helping you so while they are rooted you will need to slow them with Ice Shard. If you are level 6 use Frozen Tomb if need be just to make sure the enemy doesn't get away

I will make a video soon to show you guys through this combo
