Hello everyone! I am Christal and this is my Karma Guide. I tried my best to make this guide as good as I can. This is my first guide on MobaFire so any feedback would be greatly apriciatted! English is my second language so if there are any spelling mistakes I apologize. In this Guide you will learn what to build on Karma, what masteries to take and what runes to take. There's also a matchup section where I explained what to do and how the matchup goes. Without further ado, i present to you my Karma support guide! (Patch 7.8 -> I will be updating it whenever something changes that involves Karma)

Pros + Long ranged poke & slow + Easy to learn + Speed up + Sheild for entire team + Great engage/disengage + Doesn't have a hard counter Karma is a great pick in solo queue, as she doesn't have a counter, is a great blind pick, easy to learn and has good long ranged poke.

Cons - No healing - Squishy - Non reliable cc - Skillshot poke - Can't poke if vs heal - Early game mana hungry Karma has some cons however the pros outshine them, you can't poke if you are vs a healing support, her cc can be avoided by a speed up/dash/flash.

✦ Wanderer Is great as it allows you to come to lane faster and lets you roam more.

✦ Secret Stash is a MUST on Karma as early game you are very squishy and mana hungry. So the extra regen that it gives you is extremly usefull.

✦ Meditation as I said before, Karma is extremly mana hungry both early and late game, so the mana regen is usefull and a must.

✦ Bandit allows you to get more money with your poke and is usefull.

✦ Intelligence as Karma the later the game goes the more you will be using your abilities. Inspire can get you a lot of kills and can save a lot of lifes, so having it avaible as much as possible is great.

✦ Windspeaker's Blessing HAS TO BE YOUR KEY STONE. Windspeaker's Blessing makes Inspire stronger and buffs Redemption in other words it makes you be able to save and help your team more so ALWAYS take it while playing Karma SUPPORT.

Veteran's Scars

✦ Unyielding as I said before Karma is extremly squishy, so having the extra armor and magic resist helps a lot.

✦ Explorer Karma usually comes out of a bush to get in range for Focused Resolve so this helps a lot, a lot of things happen in the bottom side river so taking this will help you.

✦ Veteran's Scars the reason why you take this is the same as Unyielding , the extra health helps you as you are squishy.

✦ Insight Karma can do a lot if she manages to cc the enemy with Focused Resolve so a Flash Focused Resolve can get your team a kill, Focused Resolve can also be easier to do with the help of Exhaust.

quints Greater Quintessence of Armor: With these, Karma is not as squishy and it helps her a lot durning the early game(where she is extremly squishy) so taking these above Quintessence of Ability Power is the better call, since you will most likely not die as soon. marks Greater Mark of Magic Penetration: The Magic Penetration is really usefull since you're NOT taking Quintessence of Ability Power, to make up for that you take Greater Mark of Magic Penetration which give you the missing ability power. glyphs Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: This is a risky glyph to take since if you go vs full ad it will be useless, however if your not it will help you survive as Karma is extremly squishy. seals Greater Seal of Health: Helps Karma out a lot. Since she is so squishy having extra health is always good.

Flash: a MUST on Karma. It allows you to do so many things like when you use Focused Resolve, you can do so many things as Karma with Flash so take it EVERY GAME.

Exhaust: the second best summoner spell on Karma. Exhaust works great with Focused Resolve and besides Inspire helps you chase someone so taking it is almost a must.

Ignite: can work on Karma however i would only take it when vs a healing support like Soraka or Sona, overall Exhaust is better however vs healing supports i'd recommend taking Ignite.

Whenever playing Karma support your starting item should always be Spellthief's Edge. The new movment speed buff is extremly usefull for you to be able to poke more.

Besides Spellthief's Edge you should always get 3 Health Potion's as they will allow you to stay in lane longer and regen any missing hp and mana, make sure you take Secret Stash

The extra wards early game will help you and get you vision. Take this and NOT Sweeping Lens as the early wards help you more. Replace it after 800 gold. Make sure to use the wards whenever they're up.

You should always wait for at least 800gold before going back to base as Sightstone is such a usefull item eary game as it gains you vision and can help you avoid ganks.

Besides Sightstone you should try to get Boots aswell in your first back. It will allow you to avoid skill shots and get back to lane faster.

Always buy 1 if you have the extra money, they are extreamly usefull!

Always get this AFTER you buy Sightstone, it will allow you to clear enemy wards and will allow your jungler to gank easier.

This is a great item on Karma as it gains you ap and wards. Get it every game.

This item is a MUST on Karma as the only thing she lacks, is healing. Redemption gives her the healing she needed and is overall a must on Karma.

Replace Sweeping Lens with this as soon as you hit level 9. It helps you clear out more wards and shows camouflaged and invisible enemy champions.

If your team is behind and you are vs a heavy ad team, take these as the armor will help you.

If you are vs a heavy cc team buy these. They also help a lot when vs a heavy ap team.

If you are winning lane buy these, the extra cd will help you. I take this in most of my games.

If you can't do much in botlane and you want to roam more buy these. Just know that if you do buy them you HAVE to roam.

This is the best supportive offensive item for Karma. It gives you mana regen, cd reduction and ability power.

If you need extra health and are ahead buy this, otherwise i'd leave it alone.

If you adc is carrying buy this as it will help not only you but them aswell.

The only time i'd buy this while playing Karma is if you are roaming a lot and are carrying. In order words if your using a lot of your abilites to get your team kills it's a great item.

If you need more damage(ap) and mana regen this is a great item to fix that. It's not the most supportive item however it will help you.

If your vs a heavy ap cc team, this is a great item. The sheild will help you survive and the ap and health will fix the fact that you're squishy.

If a ap champion is fed on the enemy team this is a MUST on Karma, the active works great with Inspire and Redemption and can save you and your team a lot of times.

This is a great item when vs a heavy AP team. The buff to a minion can help push/defend lanes.

If the enemy team is fed and is mostly ad this is a must on Karma, the extra armor will help you A LOT and is worth the money.

If you're vs a team with heavy ad that are crit champions this is a great item to give you the armor and protection.

DIFFICULTY 1/10 TAHM KENCH MATCHUP This is the easiest matchup for Karma support. Use Inspire to move away from Tongue Lash and poke back with Inner Flame. The main reason of why Karma works so well vs Tahm Kench is the fact that he can't use Devour to escape and save his adc, since you can just use Mantra + Inspire to catch them. Whenever Tahm Kench tries to cs with Relic Shield auto attack and/or Inner Flame him. Vs Tahm Kench Always take Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 2/10 FIDDLESTICKS MATCHUP Always use Inspire after he uses Terrify to get in range to poke him. The only problem going vs Fiddlesticks support, is his Reap if used right it will poke you and your adc, so you can eaither only Inspire your adc or you have to use Mantra + Inspire. Crowstorm does more damage then you might think so whenever he uses make sure you counter back with Mantra + Inspire.You shoult be able to out poke him using Inner Flame as just like Karma, Fiddlesticks doesn't have any healing abilites. Take Exhaust when playing vs Fiddlesticks support.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 BLITZCRANK MATCHUP Whenever Blitzcrank tries to use Rocket Grab just use Inspire to help the traget avoid it, however if he does land it on you or your adc besides Mantra + Inspire you can't do much. The way you play this matchup is basically keeping Blitzcrank as far away from you and your adc as possible. Whenever he tries to engage use Mantra + Inspire for you and your adc to run away. Whenever Blitzcrank tries to cs with Relic Shield auto attack and/or Inner Flame him. Vs Blitzcrank Always take Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 BRAUM MATCHUP Use Inspire to avoid Winter's Bite. The only problem with this matchup is Concussive Blows, if you get stunned by it the chances of you surviving are low. Stand Behind Me is hard to deal with in lane, as you can't really poke with Inner Flame because of it. When Glacial Fissure is used always use Mantra + Inspire to run away or turn the fight around. Unbreakable makes it very hard to poke both Braum and his adc. Make sure you poke him whenever he tries to cs with Relic Shield. Take Exhaust when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 GALIO MATCHUP Avoid Justice Punch by using Inspire. Galio will out roam you thanks to Hero's Entrance, so whenever playing this matchup go with Mobility Boots. Mantra + Inspire should help you and you adc to get out of range for Shield of Durand. Galio doesn't have that strong poke however it can't be ignored. Try to out poke him with using Mantra + Inner Flame and use Inspire to avoid Winds of War. Whenever he tries to cs with Relic Shield poke him with auto attacks or Inner Flame. Vs Galio support take Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 MISS FORTUNE MATCHUP Love Tap and Double Up do a lot of damage, so using Inspire is a must. Miss Fortune support has a lot of poke however just like Karma is squishy. Whenever she tries to poke with Make it Rain use Mantra + Inner Flame, you should be able to out poke her. Use Mantra + Inspire whenever she uses Bullet Time to avoid some damage from it. In this matchup it's all about who can poke better, thanks to Inspire you should be able to win the trades. Take Exhaust when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 TARIC MATCHUP Can be annoying to go vs. Your poke won't do as much damage duo to him being able to heal himself and his adc with Starlight's Touch, the healing isn't crazy however can't be ignored. Using Inspire is an easy way to avoid Dazzle. The biggest problem besides Starlight's Touch is Cosmic Radiance. Karma can give her whole team a shield and a speed up when she uses Mantra + Inspire however Taric can make his intire team invulnerable thanks to Cosmic Radiance. Rushing Redemption is a must when going vs Taric as your team can heal up while he uses Cosmic Radiance. Even tho Taric has a heal, i'd still take Exhaust when vs him duo to him and his team being able to escape so easily thanks to Cosmic Radiance.

DIFFICULTY 3/10 THRESH MATCHUP This matchup is a lot like Blitzcrank.Use Inspire to avoid Death Sentence. Make sure you use Inspire AFTER he uses Flay so that you can escape. The slow that comes from The Box is a big problem when it comes to this matchup. In other words this matchup is all about when and how you use Inspire. Use it AFTER the slow from The Box, use it AFTER he uses Flay, use it to avoid Death Sentence. Whenever Thresh tries to pick up souls from Damnation make sure you throw a Inner Flame at him and autoattack him. He doesn't have much poke and no healing so you should be able to poke him and his adc down. Take Exhaust when playing vs him.

DIFFICULTY 4/10 BARD MATCHUP You and your adc should engage whenver Bard is away doing Traveler's Call. In lane your poke won't do much because of Caretaker's Shrine. Use Mantra + Inspire to avoid Tempered Fate. Magical Journey is always a trick to follow him or not, if you don't see the whole enemy team on the map is better not to follow him however if you see him comming to you using it always throw a Inner Flame to slow him and poke him. Cosmic Binding can be avoided with Inspire just make sure u dont run in a straight line. Vs Bard both Ignite and Exhaust are good however i'd take Exhaust duo to the speed up from Caretaker's Shrine. Ignite is good also, it really comes down to personal prefrence.

DIFFICULTY 4/10 SION MATCHUP This can be a tricky matchup. The engage from Unstoppable Onslaught can be avoided by Mantra + Inspire. Decimating Smash can be deadly if hit so always try to avoid it by using Inspire. Sion can poke with Roar of the Slayer however your Inner Flame should out poke him. Glory in Death is the thing that can really mess you up, when active you have to use Inspire to run away from it, it does a lot more damage then you might think. Take Exhaust when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 5/10 ALISTAR MATCHUP Whenever playing vs Alistar always take Ignite. The healing from Unbreakable Will and Trample is huge so Ignite needs to be take. Whenever he uses Headbutt you can re-engage with Mantra + Inspire. The knock up from Pulverize can be annoying however the thing that Alistar lacks is poke, so use Inner Flame to poke him and his adc out and engage when they're low.

DIFFICULTY 6/10 JANNA MATCHUP This is a annoying matchup. Any poke from Inner Flame can be avoided by Eye of the Storm. The slow from Zephyr can be annoying, so make sure you use Inspire after she uses it. Try to avoid Howling Gale by using Inspire. As far as summoner spells go it's between Ignite and Exhaust. Ignite is great as it lowers the healing from Monsoon, however Exhaust helps counter Tailwind. It's all up to personal prefrence, but i'd recommend Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 8/10 LEONA MATCHUP Leona's level 2 all in is really strong. Zenith Blade + Shield of Daybreak + Ignite / Exhaust is extreamly good and strong, make sure you Mantra + Inspire whenever she engages. ALWAYS take Exhaust in this match duo to all the cc her kit has. Leona doesn't have any poke so try and poke her to make her low so she can't engage. Solar Flare can be avoided by Inspire. If she manages to get on you or your adc besides using Exhaust and Inspire. Poke her out and play safe.

DIFFICULTY 8/10 LULU MATCHUP This can be a really annoying matchup. Lulu has a lot of poke with Glitterlance or Help, Pix! + Glitterlance. Whimsy can be a fight changing ability since you/your adc can't do much for a few seconds. Wild Growth is really annoying as it heals and buffs her/her adc. Take Ignite when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 8/10 NAMI MATCHUP Don't bother poking with Inner Flame in this matchup as Nami can heal it all up with Ebb and Flow so don't waste the mana with it. Aqua Prison can be avoided with Inspire, same with Tidal Wave. Even tho Nami has a lot of healing thanks to Surging Tides taking Exhaust is better then Ignite. Every abilites speeds up her or her adc so taking Exhaust to slow them down is simply better.

DIFFICULTY 8/10 NAUTILUS MATCHUP The main problem when playing this matchup is the fact that there's now way to avoid Depth Charge. Much like Leona, Nautilus can go all in easly and as Karma you can't do much to counter it. You can avoid the poke of Riptide with Inspire and you can avoid Dredge Line with using Inspire. Try to poke him with Inner Flame and stay safe, use Mantra + Inspire to disengage his engage. Take Exhaust when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 8/10 SONA MATCHUP Sona is basically a better and more squishy version of Karma. Sona has great poke with Hymn of Valor and Power Chord, you can avoid some damage with Inspire. Song of Celerity is basically a better Inspire. Poking Sona is still good duo to how much mana Aria of Perseverance costs and how squishy she is. Use Mantra + Inspire to try and get out of range of Crescendo. Summoner spells are again up to personal prefrence. Exhaust can counter Song of Celerity and Ignite can counter Aria of Perseverance.

DIFFICULTY 9/10 SORAKA MATCHUP Soraka is the hardest matchup while playing Karma support. ALWAYS take Ignite when playing this matchup. Poke her and NOT her adc, she can heal her adc but not herself unless using Wish. Use Inspire to get out of range of Starcall. Equinox is a big problem, try to not get hit by it. Use Ignite on Soraka and burst her down with ur adc then focus on the enemy adc. Rush Redemption to have some healing yourself, even with Redemption she will outheal you so make sure you Ignite her and kill her quickly whenever you can.

DIFFICULTY 6/10 RAKAN MATCHUP This is quite an annoying matchup for Karma. Poking him can be effective however the heal from Gleaming Quill is annoying to deal with. Rakan has great engage and a safe way to get out. You should be able to get out of the way of Grand Entrance by using Inspire. Make sure to always use Mantra + Inspire whenever he engages with The Quickness. This lane can go eaither way and depends a lot on how the adc plays. Always take Exhaust in this matchup as Rakan is one of the most mobile supports.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 ANNIE MATCHUP Annie has a lot of poke using Disintegrate and Incinerate however most of the damage can be avoided with Inspire. The stun from Pyromania and Summon: Tibbers hurt A LOT and can easily lead to a death from you or your adc. Annie support becomes Annie mid the longer the game goes. She hurts a lot and Karma can't do much about it. Rush Locket of the Iron Solari and take Exhaust when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 BRAND MATCHUP Brand does A LOT of damage, early/mid/late game it's like you are vs a mid laner. You can avoid Sear and Pillar of Flame using Inspire however if you get stunned you can quite easily get bursted down. Much like Annie you should rush Locket of the Iron Solari and take Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 LUX MATCHUP Most of her poke comes from Lucent Singularity and Illumination. So try to use Inspire to get away from her to autoattack you and get Illumination off. The later the game goes the stronger Lux will get. Final Spark is hard to hit if she doesn't land Light Binding, so try and use Inspire to get out of the way of Light Binding. You can out poke her since just like Karma, Lux doesn't have any healing abilites. Take Exhaust in this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 VEIGAR MATCHUP Towards mid/late game Primordial Burst will 1 shot you so make sure you get a early Locket of the Iron Solari. If you and your adc get stuck in Event Horizon you need to quickly cast Mantra + Inspire. The poke from Dark Matter and Baleful Strike can be avoided by using Inspire however you should be able to out poke him with Inner Flame. Take Exhaust and stay safe.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 MALZAHAR MATCHUP From all the mage supports Malzahar is the easiest one. Even tho he has a lot of poke and damage with Void Swarm and Malefic Visions you can avoid most of it by using Mantra + Inspire. The only problem in this matchup is the lockdown from Nether Grasp, if he uses it on you, you can quite easily get bursted down and die. Rush Redemption and take Exhaust.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 MORGANA MATCHUP The poke from Tormented Shadow can be annoying however if you use Inspire you can avoid some of the damage from it. Black Shield counters Focused Resolve however Black Shield has a much longer cooldwon. You out poke her with Inner Flame. You can get out of range of Soul Shackles with using Mantra + Inspire. The speed up from Inspire can make you avoid Dark Binding. Take Exhaust and rush Redemption when playing this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 VEL'KOZ MATCHUP Just like every other mage matchup Vel'Koz becomes a midlane mage when the late game comes. In lane it's all about avoiding Plasma Fission, you can use Inspire to move out of the way easier. If he manages to hit a full combo on you, you will die as Karma is squishy. Rush a Locket of the Iron Solari, however just like you Vel'Koz is squishy, so a Mantra + Inner Flame can do a lot when it comes to poke, you can out poke him however he will burst you down. Take Exhaust in this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 ZILEAN MATCHUP This is an interesting matchup. Even tho Time Bomb hurts a lot Karma can easily out poke him with Inner Flame, try to bait out Chronoshift and kill him when it ends. Whenever he uses Time Warp on you, use Inspire to get back the movment speed. If you get stunned you can quite easily get bursted down. Even tho it's a mage matchup rush Redemption as it will help you survive Time Bomb and Chronoshift. Your poke should be more effective so whenever you have Mantra avaible throw a Mantra + Inner Flame at him. Zilean just like Karma doesn't have a healing ability so poke is extra effective. Duo to the speed up and slow from Time Warp taking Exhaust is best when it comes to this matchup.

DIFFICULTY 7/10 ZYRA MATCHUP Out of all the mage support matchups i think Zyra is the hardest one when playing Karma support. Zyra has SO MUCH DAMAGE and poke in her kit and it's honestly extreamly hard to survive it. In lane make sure you step over her flowers spawned by Garden of Thorns and Rampant Growth. The main damage from Zyra comes from Stranglethorns so really try and get ahead before level 6. In this matchup after buying Sightstone rush Locket of the Iron Solari and Redemption and after finish Eye of the Watchers. Both Redemption and Eye of the Watchers will her you survive the burst from Zyra so you need to get them as soon as possible. Exhaust is a must in this matchup as you have to play more defense then offense. Zyra has great poke with Deadly Spines and Grasping Roots so play defense in lane.

Karma is a squishy high poke support with great engage and disengage. She's also one of the only supports that doesn't have a hard counters and is also quite easly to play. If you have any questions feel free to put them in the comments section! Thank you so much for reading my guide!
