Akali has huge amount of harass. If you take full combo from Akali then you will not be able to trade. You will have to dodge her harass to be able to trade back. If you dodge her Five-Point Strike(Q), you should be able to trade. Your Facebreaker cancels out her Dash AKA Shuriken Flip(E). Nonetheless difficult match-up. Her damage is tankable early as you can run down Annie. Do consider taking a full trade against her as her auto-attack harass is not as potent as other champions. (Recommended Items: Spirit Visage) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Sett without Annie Fire Shield)(Outscaling Edge: Even)
Flash is mandatory if you want to win against Anivia or gap close due to her Crystallize Wall(W). Facebreaker and The Show Stopper cancels Anivia's Glacial Storm. (Recommended core items: Force of Nature, Spirit Visage) (Outscaling Edge: Anivia) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Anivia with Glacial Storm)
Aurelion Sol is rare match-up that you do not see often. This game will be dependent if you can dodge his Center of the Universe(Passive) as it is a rotational ball that damages you. Aurelion Sol can either expand or constrict his passive. Also you need to dodge his Celestial Expansion(E) which is his stun. Make sure you attack him if he has active flight which is his Comet of Legend(R) which interrupts him. (Recommended Items: Spirit Visage) (Outscaling Edge: Sett)
Do not dive him under his Shurima's Legacy(Turret). Conquering Sands(Q) allows his soldier to dash dodge it and he will be tradeable. Recommended to fight him without his soldiers. (Recommended Items: Spirit Visage, Force of Nature) (Outscaling Edge: Azir) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Azir)

3 of her skills are skillshot based. Will be up to you if this will be easy or hard match-up. Noxious Blast(Q) which is a poison blast, must be dodged to be able to trade. This can be either a easy or hard-match up if you cannot dodge his skillshot. Juke out his Rupture(Q) and Feral Scream(W). Avoid fighting Cho'gath if you are low health as his Feast(R) can execute you. (Recommended Items: Blade of the Ruined King) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Sett or Cho'gath if he lands everything) (Outscaling Edge: Cho'gath)
Hard match-up. You will definitely need to mirror his Summoner's Spell(Flash/Ghost). Decimate(Q) needs to be dodged or juked out, but if you can't go to his handle of his Axe as it does not apply Hemmorhage nor heal him. Fight him after he casts his Crippling Strike(W) and duration goes away. Save your Facebreaker for his Apprehend(E).Avoid fighting him with 5 stacks of Hemorrhage. (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Darius) (Recommended Items: Deadman's Plate) (Outscaling Edge: Even)
Fight him without his buff Blunt Force Trauma(E) as this is where majority of his damage come from. Kite his Heart Zapper(W) as Mundo gains Magic Damage/Heals, but he can be tradeable if he is low. (Recommended Items: Spirit Visage, Blade of the Ruined King, Executioner's) (Sustained Trades: Even) (Outscaling Edge: Dr.Mundo)
A rare pick, but should be noted. Timewinder(Q) should be dodged, Parallel Convergence(W) aka his Shield/AOE Stun should be dodged and pretty much avoided as this is the only thing that will prevent Sett from out-trading. Avoid staying near his image from taking too much damage. (Recommended Items: Bramble Vest, Spirit Visage) (Outscaling Edge: Even) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Even)
Very straight-forward match-up. Avoid trading until you know it is the real Fiddlesticks. Use Facebreaker on his Crowstorm(R) away from your teammates. Use Facebreaker on his Bountiful Harvest(W) aka Drain as most his damage is at the end. (Recommended Items: Executioner's, Spirit Visage) (Outscaling Edge: Even) (Sustained 1v1 Trades: Fiddlestick)
Very difficult lane as she has true damage as Riposte(W) negates your any of your offensive skills. Must bait it out. It will have to be a complete hit and run match-up. You will have try to make her work for that vital point(Passive) for the trades. (Recommended items: Thornmails or Plated Steelcaps) (Riposte overrides offensive skills) (Riposte blocks Ignite) (1v1 Sustained Trades: Even) (Outscaling Edge: Fiora)

I would say it would be a "Even" match-up if Jax doesn't build Blade of the Ruined King. For Jax you will have to constantly kite him on a constant basis. Consider building Deadman's Plate to help out with the kiting. Avoid his Counter-Strike(E) and you should be able to trade easily. Pit Grit Sett’s passive is a two-parter. First, his Heavy Hands innate ability doubles up his melee-range auto-attacks. His basic attack is a normal left punch, dealing a normal amount of damage based on his Attack Damage stat.
His attack right after, however, is a right straight over eight times faster than his normal attack speed and gains 50 bonus range, plus it deals bonus damage based on his level and bonus AD stats.
The second part of Pit Grit encourages you to wade in with the one-twos.
He gains extra health regeneration per second based on every 5% of his missing HP, meaning he actually gets tougher the more people fight back.
Knuckle Down When activated, Knuckle Down boosts Sett’s next two auto-attacks with bonus physical damage scaling with the enemy’s maximum health, making it especially deadly versus tanks and fellow bruisers.
To help him actually land those punches, Sett also gains a solid 30% bonus movement speed when approaching enemy champions.
This actually combines with Pit Grit’s damage as well, so a right-handed Knuckle Down is going to hurt quite a bit.
Haymaker Sett has no mana, and his abilities cost nothing to use.
He does, however, have a Grit resource bar that’s only available after he’s leveled Haymaker for the first time.
Grit tracks how much he’s taken in a fight, storing up to 50% of his maximum health, then decaying if he hasn’t taken further damage in a four-second window.
That Grit you’re storing does two things when you finally press W. First, he’ll gain a three-second shield equal to 100% of the Grit expended – similar in function to Tahm Kench’s shield.
Second, everything in a wide cone gets blasted for damage equal to a percent of the stored Grit plus extra physical damage based on his bonus Attack Damage. Everything in the dead center of that blast will take it all as true damage, ignoring all of the armor they might have stacked.
Unfortunately, you’ll have to lead the punch a bit, as Haymaker has a short cast time that lets people walk out of the true damage zone.
Facebreaker You’re not much of a melee bruiser these days if you can’t drag folks into a fight.
Sett is more than happy to start a brawl with Facebreaker – anybody on both sides of Sett get dragged toward him, hit with physical damage, and slowed for half a second.
If he happens to get at least one person each on both left and right, they’ll get smashed into each other and stunned for one second on landing – meaning Sett with Flash up may very well be a team’s worst nightmare.
Doubly true if there’s a Yasuo on the team to extend that stun with his own ultimate.
The Show Stopper Sett grabs hold of one champion, suppressing them, and throws them down a direction for a good old fashioned WWE-style Neckbreaker.
However, The Show Stopper has some travel time, dragging the targeted champion a fixed distance before dunking them down for a huge burst of damage scaling with their bonus health.
This can either be used as a way to ambush a player, dragging them toward Sett’s team… or to throw them at the enemy team instead, dealing damage to everybody near the impact area and slowing them for 1.5 seconds.
As they’ll be slowed for 99% of their movement speed, this literally stops the show for the enemy team.
Choose Plated Steelcaps for a high physical damage match-up, or the Mercury's Treads when the opposing team has plenty of controls to immobilize you.
If you want to easily reach mobile carries, you can go for Boots of Swiftness.
Sett is a champion who relies heavily on his basic attacks and excels in long-lasting fights. Sett likes to stay in close combat and has very little mobility.
Sett is a tanky champion able to inflict very heavy damage while applying good CCs. All these assets are limited by his low range and lack of mobility spells. To be effective with Sett, it is essential to manage your position as well as your opponent's vision.
As most of you know the standard rune for Sett is Conqueror. In the early game, Sett's cooldowns on his abilities are fairly long. So most of your trades would be engage with Knuckle Down Facebreaker, and Auto-Attack resets, and end with Haymaker. However the value Conqueror brings is significant since keep autoing your target after your combo.
Conqueror shines on Sett in the mid-late game. He can stick on targets and he really bask in the true value of Conqueror as much as other champions can.
Basic The Show Stopper Combo
Practically involves Sett tossing the enemy champion via The Show Stopper into the backline then using Facebreaker to stun other nearby champions so your team can follow up with their abilties and auto-attacking. Using such Combo will allow Sett to build up Grit for his ability Haymaker.
Pretty much this sequence will be The Show Stopper + Auto + Facebreaker + Auto + Build Up Grit + Haymaker if Grit is full or low health.
Involves Sett being behind enemies line. This will allow you to use your The Show Stopper into your team since Sett The Show Stopper is a enhanced version of Singed Fling if used in this manner. Using this combo will allow you to isolate that champion from your opposing team.
Auto-attack sequences is the most important factor that will separate good Sett players from excellent Sett players.
All of Sett abilities are considered an auto-attack reset just like Riven abilities.
Pre-6 Sett combo -
Knuckle Down + Auto + Facebreaker + Auto + Knuckle Down/ Haymaker
Note: That Haymaker relies on Grit and should be saved, but if you can execute that target feel free to use Haymaker
Haymaker + Flash - You can charge up your Haymaker and Flash to align the center of Haymakerto deal true damage to a target.
Haymaker making it quite tough to burst Sett down from low health. Titanic Hydra is recommended as Sett is health dependent and health on Sett and you want the added waveclear and auto reset via Titanic Hydra.
Grab some situational items depending on what you’re facing and who is the strongest on the enemy team. An early Spirit Visage can pair well with the Heart of the Half-Beast passive, amplifying your health regeneration against a heavy magical based team. Dead Man's Plate can aid you in closing gap between you and those pesky Vayne top mains.
Early Game Items
Excellent against harass champions
Buy this on your first back
Against hard crowd control composition and AP top laners.
Excellent against physical composition or oppressive AD top laners.
Good against team with no hard control crowd.
Excellent for auto-pushing the lane if you're top laner is roaming
Excellent against physical composition or oppressive AD top laners with sustain.
Pick up against true damage dealers or heavy artillery harass.
If you want to snowball your lead and place emphasis on split-pushing
For against magic damage heavy composition or laner.
Excellent for gaining movement speed.
Excellent core to make up for lack of push pressure on Sett. Synergize well with defensive items since they give out health thus increasing damage on Titanic Hydra since the damage is based on health. Ravenous Hydra can be good alternative if your teammates are lacking damage or have no hands.
It gives a shield which helps you heal up from your sustain as the shield decays. Also it gives bonus AD and not base AD . It's a comparatively cheap item.
Brought back to life as this item gives extra Ability Haste for champions' Non-ultimate spells along with getting movement speed percentage based on your missing health which is capped at 33%
Excellent synergy with your offensive abilities as it provides CDR and gives it 30% more healing than usual. Good for those pesky AP Carries and Assassins.
Build Giant's Belt first as it is more cost effective than getting a Chain Vest. This item will definitely allow you to maneuver across the map and go straight for their Marksman.
Both magic resistance and armor plus the damage reduction makes it a perfect defensive item on any AD champ. Synergize well with Spirit Visage and [Blade of the Ruined King].
Feel free to build this if their team is stacking health.
Now a legendary item as it still provides Ability Haste, but as a flat stats. Provides tank stats against magic damage dealer. Synergizes with Boots of Lucidity and Boots of Swiftness. Will be useful against mobility mages along with your Hextech Rocketbelt on your initation on teamfights. Chemtank should be consider as a mid-to-late game option on the potential for initiating.
Anathema's Chains is a very cheap item that’s accessible to both solo laners and supports. It is also the second-highest single health item (+650 health) in-game after [Warmog’s Armor] (+800 health). Let's you take 1% reduced damage per stack of Vendetta from your Nemesis, up to 30% reduced damage. At maximum stacks, your Nemesis has 20% reduced Tenacity.
Situation you should build this item: When you’re up against a split-pusher or if you're dealing with a fed Marksman or Mid Laner. Does not reduce true damage, not blocked by spell shield nor counts as a spell activation.
Should be must buy if they have sustained champions like Tryndamere Aatrox Ekko for exmaple.
Should be must buy if they have sustained champions like Tryndamere Aatrox Ekko for exmaple.
Excellent against Critical Damage dealers that are rushing Infinity Edge or any type of critical damage items.
Excellent against heavy magic damage team composition.
Now a legendary item as it still provides Health and Armor, but as a flat stats. Provides tank stats against physical damage dealer. The lack of magic resistance, might not be ideal to build this item against very heavy magic damage composition.
Helps your Marksman or AP Carry from dying by healing them and migrating damage. Excellent item due to your sustain. Also consider this item if there is less than two Knight's Vow on your team.
Excellent to have a AOE slow whilst using The Show Stopper Facebreaker allowing to stick on the opposing Marksman and AP Carry. Consider buying this item if the support does not have Zeke's Convergence.
Either Goredrinker or Stridebreaker will be the best option for Sett due to enabling gap closing on the carries. Goredrinker provides ability haste per legendary items and can enable The Shower Stopper more often in team fight due to ability haste.
[nextcol] Gives you a charge attack just like Deadman's Plate, just think about it like Nasus Siphoning Strike but you get health instead synergizes well with Titanic Hydra and various high armor or magic resistance item that normally would not give too much health [/columns]
Either Goredrinker or Stridebreaker will be the best option for Sett due to enabling gap closing on the carries. Unlike Goredrinker this provides movement speed per legendary item instead of ability haste. Meaning you have 3% movement speed bonus and it will cap at 15% movement speed bonus or 18% movement speed bonus if you choose to sell your boots for a legendary item.
Excellent burst item as it has both armor and magic penetration per item. It sync wells since Sett abilities will easily active the passive of this item.
Passive - Voidborn Resilience: For each second in champion combat, gain a stack granting 2 armor and MR, up to 8 max. At max stacks become empowered, instantly draining enemies around you for 3% of your max health (reduced to 30% against minions and monsters) and increasing your resists by 10% until end of combat. Passive - Voidborn Resilience as you gain 2 stacks of armor and Magic Resistance great alternative to Evenshroud although it is a bit more expensive.
Very niche item to build if your Marksman is not doing anything as the bonus you gain 10% attack speed per legendary. Probably not the most optimal item to get on Sett, but still can be viable.
Very niche item to build if opposing team is stacking armor as the bonus you gain 4% armor penetration per legendary. Probably not the most optimal item to get on Sett, but still can be viable.
Warwick is a powerful champion that fulfills the role of offensive tank and initiator. Sett is one of the best champions in the game at forcing an engagement and taking people in and out of the fight. Building him offensively/defensively enables you to spread havoc all over the battlefield as you pursue and avoid pursuit yourself.
