To be honest, i had a very bad matchup with kayle, i played against tryndamere so the whole game where basically i fed the trynd since i could not fight good early, we lost but i did actually good late game so i will maybe try kayle again xP

Hi! Absolutely fantastic guide!
If I may you recommend AP or AD Kayle?
Thanks so much!

Honestly speaking, both are good. But I personally prefer building AD because it feels a lot better due to earlier spikes and later damage scaling.

AP gives you a bit more utility, though, with your W becoming stronger and E execute going higher.

Kayle is a champion I love to see in the enemy team, whether TOP or MID as I can always swap with my mid. It's quite simple to play against it, take pantheon and destroy it early with Q. You'll be able to get her 2-3 levels behind at least, you'll have at least 2/0 score and ez game ez life. The guide is good, the champ is not. Until it gets buffed or reworked again, I don't suggest anyone playing Kayle.
qasddsa (15) | June 16, 2019 9:11am
Thanks for saying the guide is good.

Kayle, however, isn't really that bad of a champion. In your example of playing Panth v Kayle, there are ways that Kayle can hard-counter that matchup:

Iceborn Gauntlet rush or sitting on Glacial Shroud - don't doubt till you try it or go against it;

Seeker's Armguard rush and sit on it
Ninja Tabi
Grasp of the Undying + Bone Plating/ Second Wind + Revitalize
Fleet Footwork + Bone Plating/ Second Wind + Revitalize
Or getting camped by her jungler because of your aggression.

I would say that mid Kayle v Panth makes your job of shutting her down harder because of how short the lane is - you can't manipulate the wave as well such that you can zone her off with Qs. Eventually, Kayle outscales Panth extremely hard and he falls off like a rock late game.

It's just a fact that a lot of Kayle players + junglers in low ELO and even in higher ELO don't know how to deal with these kinds of things and the aim of this guide is to teach that.

I gave Mura Kayle a try and was surprised at how much damage this build can do especially with Runaan's.
qasddsa (15) | June 16, 2019 6:23am
That's great! The build is really fun to play especially late game when you just one shot anything that's not a tank or building HP

Isn't Inspiration And Precision also works on kayle support? Because I think she needs more survavability which Kleptomancy and Biscuit Delivery gives her. and also Precision's extra damage to help your ADC to get more kills?
qasddsa (15) | June 3, 2019 11:50am
Inspiration works, yes. Precision, not really since the runes from Sorc / Dom / Inspiration / Resolve are more worth it.

I've already mentioned this in the guide please look here.

Would Kayle played as an adc role with Lulu support good?
qasddsa (15) | June 3, 2019 5:51am
Not really since her early game is even weaker in Bot Lane where she'll be against 2 enemies with one having a range advantage.

If you want to play Kayle + Lulu, it's best to do it by funneling (Lulu queues as Mid and sticks with the Kayle that farms Mid + Jungle) or as standard Top + Support or Mid + Support and the Lulu stays with Kayle after laning phase ends.

I've been looking for something like this..Good Job! Now it's time to study Kayle!

Hi there. Do you think AP crit build is good (eg. Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer, rest AP items)?
And is Liandrys good on Kayle?
qasddsa (15) | May 30, 2019 12:12pm
I think an AP crit build can be good depending on how it's built + the enemies you're against. These builds can get high damage & DPS from the combination of crit and stacking AP, but that means the build relies on at least two crit items (one being Zeal and the other being Infinity Edge) and building Rabadon's Deathcap alongside the other AP items. This usually makes the build relatively expensive.

I think the issue with AP crit is that it's outclassed by pure AD crit in terms of damage and sometimes healing if you build Death's Dance, but AP crit definitely does damage still.

For example: Nash - Rageblade - Rabadon's - IE - Zeal Item would work if you're looking for more sustained DPS with nash + rageblade.

Similarly, Nash - Lich Bane - Rabadon's - Zeal Item - IE can work as well if you're looking for more burst damage. We prioritize Nash in both of these routes because early on, you need sustained DPS from its on-hit instead of burst. Plus, it gives you 20% CDR, ASPD, and AP.

Liandry's Torment is a viable option for Kayle, but I wouldn't recommend buying it in every case simply because Liandry's is meant to help kill tanks. Kayle already has a great item for shredding tanks: Blade of the Ruined King. You can rush this item and go into any build you want: AD, AP, or a mixture, which lets you be flexible and build around what your enemies build.

In comparison, you're pretty much locked into an AP build with Liandry's Torment and it can be countered by Adaptive Helm.

AP Crit builds work but they're situational based on the enemy team since AD crit typically performs better for less cost.

Liandry's Torment is viable but Blade of the Ruined King is usually a better option for its versatility and better tank-shredding.

Thanks. Is it a good idea to sell my boots after my 6th item for a zeal item?

Thanks for the guide, helped me a lot!

A few things I've noticed that aren't really important or crucial, but would be nice if they got a correction.
You go through the forms based on your level. -> You go through the forms based on your level and ability points spent.
(Makes a difference upon leveling up mid-fight, though since patch 9.8 can't be achieved through Elixir of Skill (At all, by the way. If you have used an Elixir of Skill and now have spent e.g. 6 points (at level 5), you will not get bonuses of Aflame state untill you level up to 6 AND spend your new ability point))
If you don't target anyone and there's no one in range, you will move to get in range. -> If the target is out of range, you will move to get in range.
Skill Order:
..., and the execute damage increases to 20% missing health. -> to 16% missing health.
... Transcendence si still a nice ... -> ... Transcendence is still a nice ... (sorry for the nitpick)
AD itemization's offensive items:
Infinity Edge has the description of Nashor's Tooh from AP itemization's offensive items.
Support Kayle Summoner Spells:
... Need to pull off some insane jukes? -> ... Need to pull off some insane jukes? Flash

Thank you for the feedback and especially thank you for pointing out these errors! I've made the appropriate fixes to the ones you pointed out.
Clorces | May 11, 2019 12:17pm
Is this tip about W correct? Because frankly I don't get it.
*If you don't target anyone and there's no one in range, you will move to get in range.

When should I take ad or ap build?
qasddsa (15) | May 1, 2019 12:30pm
Refer to this comment.

But tl;dr, AD builds typically do more DPS compared to AP builds because you have access to crit and Infinity Edge and also %hp damage with Blade of the Ruined King. However, AP builds also give your abilities great scaling and Starfire Spellblade's execution and the healing/MS boost from Celestial Blessing scales off AP as well.

You think it maybe a good idea to start off Kayle with some bonus defense like Cloth Armor + pots against heavy ad poke matchups like Darius, Pantheon or Zed? Or is the classic Corrupting Potion good enough?
qasddsa (15) | April 25, 2019 11:43am
Against Darius, you can just run Corrupting Potion.
Against Pantheon, I run Resolve secondary with Bone Plating and Revitalize.
Against Zed, I run standard with double armor shards.
Against AD champs that can do a lot of damage to me, I run double armor shards + attack speed.

I think that Kayle's early game relies on mana too much for her to give up some sort of mana item ( Doran's Ring, Corrupting Potion, The Dark Seal, Sapphire Crystal, etc) to start with Cloth Armor.
AbaddonSoulchain (15) | April 25, 2019 11:59am
I mentioned those 3 as en example because all are capable of exercising pressure early game, but I understand what you're saying and agree. There is one more thing I'm conflicted about however: Riot wants her to play her laning phase safely which usually means not to hit minions and just last-hit them. In a solo lane like top lane, this usually leads to the enemy killing the first wave faster and getting lvl 2 earlier. My experience in top lane is very little as of last year, but sometimes getting lvl 2 first feels like it can be important since it allows you to out-trade your opponent early on and can make a difference. Do you think it may be better for Kayle to follow this safe path even if it means your opponent can get a small xp lead on you?
