True damage as well, and with a knock up, silence, slow, plus good damage, it's cc city while he eats you alive. Sunderer.
Darius
Just a natural counter, watchout for his E which can be used to cancel your ultimate while youre already suppressing him if timed perfectly or on accident. never take fights until about lvl 3 maybe, or just dont at all, hard to get ahead of a darius or even cs while he is around. Bramble possibly rush?
Fiora
Hahah, 2k true damage with her r alone. And fiora players still complain about bramble. You can build bramble here and hope it does something she usually outplays you, gets ganks, etc. She's just champ diff.
Though, this matchup can be outplayable for you.
Illaoi
Outplayable but hard to, time your abilities perfectly and when you engage, always play around taking down tentacles safely. Divine Sunderer.
Rumble
Broken right now, no way to win lvl 4-5 at all, even at 6 and above he can still easily beat you in a 1v1 situation with elec/HoB as well as getting gw rush then going into rocketbelt/liandries and demolishing you with e q overheat. Sunfire or Gore.
Vayne
true damage, fuck true damage. Hard to get to her in team fights but you can roll her hard if shes top lane, go pta and just patiently wait for r, freeze under tower, take cloth armour and pots.
Urgot
Hard to kill sometimes but has its weak spots for you to abuse and get kills off of, a good Urgot will be a nightmare. Sunfire.
Pantheon
Shuts you down with his combos and dmg, and negating you from damaging him while in a damaging state. Sunfire.
Camille
Hard win early then becomes a skill mu on lvl 6 and beyond. Sunfire/Sunderer
Garen
Easy matchup, just go conq and barrier and you never lose, I haven't had this mu with goredrinker build however but if there's any issues vs garen or you are scared of him, sunderer is really good right now and worth using vs him.
Kayle
Knock her out and end before she reaches lvl 16 or its perma unwinnable, she will hard carry fights, peel for herself, etc. She's a force to be reckoned with and do not underestimate her lvl 1 and 2, it's fairly strong actually and you can end up getting yourself killed if you dont play properly. Hard to build around kayle, would say wits end/abyssal mask with sunfire perhaps?
Mordekaiser
easy mu, but may be a skill mu currently with rift buffs and other such, and he does become a nuisance in teamfights where he can r you and hourglass so youre unable to carry teamfights.
Sunfire/Sunderer.
Master Yi
a niche pick in top and mid, just dont fight him lvl 1 and youre good, freeze wave close to tower. Build whatever the fuck you want lmao.
Aatrox
skill sorta matchup, go sunfire, and just try your best to roll him. Rush bramble.
Dr. Mundo
Hard Counter via countering your R and E cc. You have to E cc and then r him to hold him for a gank but even so he will probably survive unfortunately unless your jungler has the dmg and cc of their own. He also has a bigger impact on the game in general.
Cassiopeia
Dodge.
Gwen
Not enough Data, I assume the Matchup is take sunfire/sunderer, I pretty much perma stomp this champion the few times I've fought her, but they were still learning gwen.
Gnar
Hard counter, but playable if you dont die twice or more to gnar by the time you finish mythic. Bork > er is viable here too but make sure to rush tear early if you do that. He also has a huger impact on teamfights than you do. Take Tp.
Akali
Warwick should auto win this matchup, your healing should be enough to not care for ignite, and her poke will end up not really mattering all that much. Just freeze, farm, and outscale her.
E when she tries to trade, q spam her, make her waste energy by baiting her q's and e's. TAKE ORACLE LENS. Cheese her lvl 1 by sitting in bush to wait for her if she leashes, or top 3rd bush in lane, go PTA.
Gangplank
You can never win, he buys exe rush and you just suffer, good luck man. He free cleanses your free and r as well. All while having insane poke damage. Dodge this.
Yorick
Not too big of an issue, just play around perfect timing q and e and youre fine. Utilize your passive. You stomp hard pre 6, at 6 things get harder. Play heavy aggressive level 1-2, then play for wave lvl 3 and beyond. Sunderer viable here but gore helps vs his minions iirc
Yone
He presses r and wins a teamfight, not a lot you can do. He easy 1v9s games typically and if he gets camped by his jg, you cant play the game. Hope your jungle can play top side. Go sunfire.
Yasuo
Yasuo is very similar matchup to yone.
Volibear
Easy as fuck matchup, q through him to dodge his thunder field on engage, you e when he is about to use his heal chomp and let it go through, no need to fear unless hes running away. Sunfire with Bork > er viable, remember to rush tear if you do that.
Irelia
Its insane how god easy this matchup is. But beware of her e before you r. Take tp since its easy af mu
Jax
Skill matchup, all about playing it enough and timing your e fear perfectly vs his counterstrike.
Kled
Not enough data at all. Maybe sunfire bork here??
Malphite
Dshield, Sunderer build, take tp.
It's almost impossible for Malphite to play this, you have magic damage as a large source of your damage and he will fall down in cs as well. Poking wont do much for malphite since you have second wind and dshield. if he tries to engage ever just press e and tank all his q w e damage.
Ornn
From my experience of ornn otp's a bit of a hard matchup and will have more impact on teamfights and can upgrade weapons, really annoying champion. Sunderer probably.
Viego
easy as fuck matchup, go whatever you want but pref sunfire/sunderer.
Vladimir
pretty hard. he can phase through your engage with ease. You can win lane by playing around red bar but by late game he will out teamfight you hardcore and youre just useless.
Quinn
Outroams you, more impactful, but you can one shot her if you play it properly.
Tahm Kench
I would go sunfire/sunderer/kraken slayer vs this, all dependent on the other enemies besides tahm, but all good choices into him. bork most likely as well.
Wukong
Apparently really easy, the healing on warwick is too much for wukong to deal with and makes monkey brain melt, you can also stop his r cc using q and r timing. Wukong can never win trades, freeze wave and he can't ever play. Zone him off if he plays safe. ''Wukong in the early game just wants short trades untill his enhanced auto kit let's him win an all in and Warwick denies that''
Sion
Not enough info but you probably can never kill him, sunderer is likely best here, or sunfire.
Tryndamere
You hard stomp lane but he will be at your nexus when you roam at all. Just take tp and match him, go sunfire as well.
Nasus
More impactful than you, faster than you, and harder to shutdown than you, and even scales harder than you. You can shit on him early and play for freeze and hope for the best and thats about it
He outheals your q with 3 beads and pot, the most you can do is dive with jg, and TAKE IGNITE if you want to ever solo kill him, otherwise take tp.
Shen
take tp and hope you can be more impactful than he can. Sunderer as well. FOLLOW HIS R AND TP WITH YOUR Q, PRACTICE THIS TIMING SO YOU DONT MESS IT UP.
Lucian
not enough data but he can easy outplay you, and you can do the same, just play smart. rush bork possibly?
Sett
Sett isnt much of an issue but has gotten stronger with his buffs, he can be difficult to fight whether team fight or 1v1, but you will usually be doing more than he will until he gets a fat r onto your team.
WHEN HE FINISHES THONRMAIL YOU'RE PRETTY MUCH USELESS.
Sylas
He begs for ganks and crushes lane and then carries solo. Take ignite, fuck this champion man. Sunderer/gore too.
Singed
Guard first minion wave from proxy, take second wind and dshield.
Bait his w out.
SLIDE Q WHEN SINGED IS GOING TO USE HIS FLING, BAIT OUT HIS W.
Jayce
"Warwick just kinda hardloses it by default. The best you can do is pick Barrier and hope you can Q his E and bait him into death."
He outdamages you pretty hard and not much you can do to build around it, start cloth armour and pots. Sunderer
Poppy
Poppy is a pretty easy matchup, stay away from walls, and you're forced to be near one, be ready to q through poppy to deny stun, hold r to deny poppy r. poppy is a poke lane with a decent burst all in, just take dshield and you should have zero issue. Sunfire/sunderer
Kennen
warwick wins lane but doesn't kill Kennen. Kennen base damage is way too low to force any poke or all in vs ww. Kennen outscales ww as long as the ww is not able to dive the kennen 100-0. What you want to do as ww is get prio and look for plays on other lanes, ward enemy jungle or help your own jungler. You can also force freeze or dives. The ww doesn't want to group and teamfight unless his team is extremly ahead and kennen does not have his spikes yet. If ww decides to rotate to his team while kennen with items can follow, Kennen will prob have a bigger impact by a large margin. Warwick will always win 1v1.
Riven
Warwick can stat check riven early on but she will hard outscale warwick, try to abuse the fact not many people know how warwick top works and do what you can to end mid game. E when she starts to do q combos, then fear and walk off.
Heavy warwick favoured early game, then heavy riven favoured late game.
RUSH PLATED STEELCAPS.
She can't typically ever kill you if she is not ahead.
Renekton
Should always be able to win, this mu should be you freezing wave, following his e with q, and e'ing everytime he e's in to take a trade.
Maokai
Maokai has a weak laning phase vs warwick but a strong teamfight with lots of shutdown. Be wary and deny maokai as much cs as possible.
Amumu
Amazing lock down cc when timed together.
Bard
great for stalling out your e or q when he r's you and then heal you afterwards, he also provides a stun.
Alistar
He can easily miscommunicate a shove or knock up when you r, best to tell ur alistar to engage first before you always as youre the after engage not primary.
Malzahar
suppression into suppression
Vi
suppressions for days, nice cc, and dmg. with a long ranged gank tool on q and r. Best ever champ used for ganks or even camping.
Yuumi
Movement speed, healing, cc, and mikeals. The perfect stat stick for your champion <3
Ashe
Great and easy to follow up with.
Varus
Amazing follow up as varus is an adc who can primary engage for his team.
Lulu
Def amazing to have with even more shielding, and her r. plus polymorph is broken as fuck.
Ivern
Pretty great but not much more than that, if he plays around you theres a good chance you'll be able to carry.

Who are you?
I'm a Warwick one-trick that has reached diamond my first season, season 10. And I am constantly experimenting and doing numbers on what has the best in-game impact over other things, and as well as what does best mathematically too. Op.gg or U.gg and all that typically does not tell you a champions OPTIMAL build. It misleads people heavily, and makes people rely on unhelpful stats that usually don't mean jack****.
Why do you like this champion?
Warwick fits my playstyle and ever since I saw him and used him, even playing his animations on the ctrl emotes. I knew I loved this champion and would play him well the best I could. Fun champion, easy skill floor, and decently difficult skill ceiling. Sadly, he's not the best but he does alright currently.
pros and cons
Pros – What are the benefits of playing this champion?
- Good cc chain
- Good sustain damage
- Good sustain and tankiness via q, e, and r
- Good champion design and in-game model so visually and verbally appealing
- Can 2v1 in lane
Cons – What are the drawbacks of playing this champion?
- Not the greatest or easiest to carry with
- Hard to learn how to position yourself when attempting to master
- Overall not in a good state in the game
- People calling you bad for playing a ''braindead broken champion'' when you get fed kekw
Patch Preview 11.12
First, let's go over Dr. Mundo.
Mundo is a pretty big change with his new passive, and he's pretty much a counter to any cc dependent top-laner such as Warwick. His Q, W, E, and R are all pretty similar and still plays similarly, and he was already a big struggle for you as a Warwick as is to fight and kill.
Gnars Nerf will impact his poke pretty well but I don't think you will end up doing anything anyway as he still has his damage and cc issues to fight against until you get your boots and sunfire. This helps laning phase but by how much? Well, only an alright amount, only so much a 2 ad nerf can do.
Illaois buff won't really do much for her at all she already goes PoM and Corrupting Pot anyways.
Not a lot that this buff does, just more low amounts of damage vs. Warwick that we can just E and shrug off.
Renekton and Nasus Nerfs change nothing, Renekton is still fairly easy and Nasus is still fairly hard.
Wukong is really strong, and him getting a nerf so you counter him harder is amazing. You should really never lose lane.
