I've actually run this math already so here goes: The average level I'm likely to get [icon=wriggle's lantern] + [icon=boots of speed] + [icon=sheen] is going to be around 10-12. The next buy is the crucial choice ([icon=giant's belt] vs [icon=negatron cloak]). At level 11 choosing... [u][icon=Giant's Belt]Giant's Belt gets me:[/u] [h4]HP: 1805 Physical Damage HP: 3006 Magic Damage HP: 2600 Effective HP: 2803[/h4] vs [u][icon=Negatron Cloak]Negatron Cloak:[/u] [h4]HP: 1379 Physical Damage HP: 2291 Magic Damage HP: 2644 Effective HP: 2468[/h4] This is a very important stage of the game, and unless you do something fast, Shaco's damage will be too low for it. Taking the time to finish an entire banshee's veil will just take too long, and you'll lose damage momentum. Building Merc Treads is viable here, but generally only to combat high CC teams. The extra HP makes you sustainable at THIS stage (I totally agree with the resist + hp over just hp argument).
