[10.11] [Gunblade] Top Karma - A Noob's Guide [W.I.P]

By LloydOrchid
Introduction
Hello! My name is LloydOrchid! I started playing League mid-late 2018 (Season 8) 'cause my friends/classmates dragged me to play League with them so I joined them without knowing how to build properly.

I don't have a rank since I don't play ranked since my skills are that bad and the people in our server is toxic. I just play Blind Pick, ARAM, and U.R.F. with my friends.

I like playing Karma especially tank. I was just clicking random League videos at YouTube when I saw this Gunblade Tank Karma and ofc, I watched the whole entire video. I tried it and it worked like magic! My HP goes up so fast since I have Hextech Gunblade so I can bully and 1v1 the top laner that's why I like playing Gunblade Top Karma. :D
Pros and Cons
PROS
+ She has her own healing.
+ Can have a big amount of health depending on stacks.
+ Can be almost unkillable late game.
+ Has a shield to protect herself with a bonus MS.
+ Can bully melee champs.
+ It's fun to play tank Karma.

Karma have a self-sustain skill that helps her bring back lost HP. Paired with Hextech Gunblade and Spirit Visage, she can have super healing. She can also support while being a tank with her Defiance. Her slow can help chasing down enemies or helping her or your team to escape.
CONS
- Squishy early game
- Must have atleast the core items to win a trade or fight
- Stack dependent
- Ranged match-ups makes her stacking difficult
- Silence is her worst enemy.
- Mana consuming/hungry

The backlash of being a tank Karma is she's reliant on Grasp of the Undying stacks since its her only source of HP. Can be countered when a champ or the champ your laning against build Morellonomicon, Executioner's Calling or have silence. Mana hungry since her skills has big mana costs and you need to spam it. And lastly, ranged match-ups will be difficult since you can't get Grasp of the Undying easily 'cause they'll be poking you when you go near them.
Runes

RESOLVE
Grasp of the Undying because this is the main runes on tank Karma. It gives you 3 HP per stack and when you attack with Grasp of the Undying, It has a bonus damage and heals you. This too gives us access to the Resolve Tree.
We choose this second so you can damage the enemy more. Try to attack with Grasp of the Undying ready and use Inspire to gain a shield and then auto-attack the enemy champ for maximum damage.
We choose Conditioning because of the free 9 Armor and MR. It also increases your Armor and MR by 5% so its too hard to pass up on tank Karma. If you like Bone Plating, you can choose that as a substitute on this rune.
Revitalize since it makes the healing and shield you get be increased by 10% when below 40% HP so it synergizes with Karma's Renewal.

SORCERY
We go for Sorcery on the second rune. We choose Manaflow Band to increase are mana, give us some mana regen and help us on our mana issue.
Transcendence so we can spam your skills and Renewal often and hit max CDR since Iceborn Gauntlet and Spirit Visage altogether, gives 30% CDR.
I choose the 2 Adaptive Force so your Inner Flame can damage and Armor since all of the toplaners build AD.
Abilities
PASSIVE
ABILITY
GATHERING FIRE (Passive): Damaging enemy champions with abilities refreshes 2 / 3 / 4 seconds of Mantra's cooldown, and half of that amount basic attacks against enemy champions. The amount increases every 6 levels.

Q
INNER FLAME (Q): Karma fires a blast of energy that explodes on enemy contact, dealing 90 / 135 / 180 / 225 / 270 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to enemies in the area and slowing them by 35% for 1.25 seconds.

Mantra Bonus - Soulflare: Inner Flame deals 25 / 75 / 125 / 175 (+30% of ability power) extra magic damage and leaves a circle of flame at the impact area or upon reaching maximum range, slowing enemies for 50%. After 1.5 seconds, the circle erupts, dealing 50 / 150 / 250 / 350 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to enemies in the area.

W
FOCUSED RESOLVE (W): Karma forms a tether to target enemy champion, revealing and damaging the target for 40 / 65 / 90 / 115 / 140 (+45% of ability power) magic damage over 2 seconds which goes up to a total of 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+90% of the ability power) magic damage in total (one tick at the start of the cast and one at the end). Gathering Fire is applied every time this ability damages. If the tether is not broken after the 2 seconds, the target is revealed and rooted for 1.4 / 1.55 / 1.7 / 1.85 / 2 seconds.

Mantra Bonus - Renewal: Focused Resolve increases the duration of the reveal and root by 0.5 / 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 seconds and heals Karma for 20% (+1% per 100 ability power) of her missing health immediately plus another 20% (+1% per 100 ability power) of her missing health if the tether remains unbroken.

E
INSPIRE (E): Karma shields target ally, which absorbs 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 / 200 (+50% of ability power) damage for 2.5 seconds and grants the target 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds.

Mantra Bonus - Defiance: Inspire's shield overflows with energy, increasing the target's shield amount by 25 / 80 / 135 / 190 (+50% of ability power). Allied champions gain 30% of that amount as a shield, and are also hasted by 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60%.

R
MANTRA (R): Karma empowers her next ability cast within the next 8 seconds, adding an additional effect. Empowered abilities share the same cooldown as their basic form.

Karma begins with one rank in Mantra and can increase it at levels 6, 11, and 16. Ranks in Mantra improve the additional effects of empowered abilities.
