Introduction

Hey guys!
Welcome to my guide for The epic and slippery skillshot king!

This guide shows the ways that i play and build Ezreal, and i would appreciate any feedback that you have regarding my items, masteries, or runes that you have.

The item list includes different items that can be used in different builds, not neccesarily just the highlited ones.
NOW ON TO THE SHOW:

Pros / Cons

Why play Ezreal? here are a few reasons:

PROS:
-Great damage all throughout the game
-Skill shots can check brush and shoot over walls
-GLOBAL KAMEHAMEHA
-Built in Flash
-KS master from far away
-low cooldowns on abilities
-awesome dance :D

CONS:

-Squishy even with some survivability :P
-Skillshots can be hard to aim
-No Natural CC
-People think he is a girl -_-

Runes

greater quintessence of desolation Master of epic armor penetration
Greater mark of desolation Apprentice of epic armor penetration
Anti Tryndamere shields
Spam that Mystic Shot

These runes are pretty standard, I get a full Armor penetration page , which is useful especially against that annoying Rammus or any other tank that stacks armor against your team. Greater Seal of Armor helps me to stay alive and win fights more. Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction lets me spam my skills more often with the CD reduction.

Masteries

I go 21/9/0 to get more survivability in the defence tree, rather than mana regen and movement speed in utility. Make sure to take Weapon Expertise and Arcane Knowledge in Offence to get past any resistance the enemy tries to use to counter you.

You can also go 21/0/9, to get the movement speed and buff duration in the Utility tree, seeing that the health regen/health/armor doesn't really help you very much anyway.

Skill Sequence

Max Mystic Shot first, get 1 point in essence flux for the attack speed buff/debuff, but max it last. Max Arcane Shift second to reduce the CD and increase damage. (and of course, get Trueshot Barrage whenever you can, at levels 6,11, and 16)

SKILL ORDER TO MAX:

Summoner Spells

These are the spells i recommend on Ezreal, you might not neeed Flash, because you already have Arcane Shift, but I personally like to initiate a 1v1 or 1v2 situation with Arcane Shift, so I personally take Flash to get out of the fight if i start to take too much damage. :P

I usually don't take ignite on Ezreal, unless i use Exhaust and Ignite as spells. mostly because Exhaust can be used to shut down an enemy to save a teammate, yourself, turn a 1v1 in your favour, or even shut down an enemy carry in a teamfight.

EDIT: ignite] is now my choice along with [[flash for ezeal. I go for the true damage over the slow and damage reduction most of the time now.

See Above Paragraph.

Most of the time you can just defend a tower with Trueshot Barrage if you are not there, but if you need to be able to return to lane more quickly or buy your boots late, its a great choice along with Exhaust or Ignite.

It's a good and reliable spell for chasing and escaping, but on summoner's rift i prefer exhaust for the CC and damage reduction when i need to chase someone.

I didn't even recommend this, why the hell is it here?!?

Items

I start out with a Sapphire Crystal and either 2 Health Potion's or 1 Health Potion and a Mana Potion, depending on who i think i'm mid against.

EARLY GAME

After farming a little in the lane at about level 6, and maybe getting a kill, recall back to base to buy Boots, and upgrade your Sapphire Crystal to Sheen, and if you have a little more gold to spare, buy a Doran's Blade, or a Pickaxe if you can afford it.(probably not though, so wait until later :P). grab a few Health Potion's if you feel the need.

Defensive items, such as Banshee's Veil, are a very good picks for Ezreal too. instead of getting multiple Bloodthirster's, you should pick this up. get this instead of Infinity Edge too
by now you should probably have

This costs quite a bit of gold for early in the game, so just try for
by level 6.

MID GAME

By this time, the fact that you have no natural crowd control abilities should begin to show, so buy Phage on your way to trinity force for the slow. (believe me, dat slow helps a lot;D) if you didn't already, try to get your Pickaxe at this time, so you can get some raw attack damage and build your way to Infinity Edge. Also upgrade you boots to Ionian Boots of Lucidity ASAP for the cooldown reduction. Lifesteal is more important than potions at this time, so pick up a vampiric sceptere as well.

LATE GAME

My finishing builds looks like this:

AGAINST TANKY ARMOR:

OR

AGAINST SQUISHY:

OR

AGAINST HEALTH STACKERS

If you Build Infinity Edge, get it immediatly after Trinity Force for stable damage and critical strikes. get a Bilgewater Cutlass for the active slow, and upgrade to Hextech Gunblade take Bloodthirster Later for the snowballin' AD and [[last whisper once enemy armor becomes more of a problem.

You might not want to get Infinity Edge, unless you can safely and efficiently autoattack them, so it could be wise to pick up another Bloodthirster for damage and lifesteal. Also, Last Whisper could easily be replaced by Black Cleaver if your enemies aren't building very tanky with armor, or you want to be able to kill their squishies faster with more flat armor penetration , attack speed, and damage to wipe them out even faster.

Why Build Hextech?

In my personal experience with Ezreal, i have had some major success with a hybrid build and Hextech Gunblade. I will share with you one amazing part of this success, but i unfortunatly didn't get it on video:(

About 38:00 into game,i was trying to clear our mid inhib turret from minions, and while pushing the lane farther, i ran into a 14/3/4 Master Yi.

I opened up with a spell combo:

, , ,

and now i used Trueshot Barrage in a particular way that won me the kill. At this point, i was at about 1/4 HP and Master Yi was at 3/4 HP, so it wasn't looking very good, after my ult yi was about 1/2.

but as he kept autoattacking me, and i kept spamming my spells, Trueshot Barrage Proc'ed on 2 SPAWNING MINION WAVES COMING OUT OF THE ENEMY NEXUS.

The Spell vamp from my Hextech Gunblade] did it's work, keeping my HP up at about 1/8 through it's spell vamp, combined with Bloodthirster's lifesteal, and my 300 Attack Damage, kept me alive while destroying Master Yi

and even better, by now Master Yi's Highlander had worn off, so as he tried to run away, i used the active slow from Hextech Gunblade to finish him!

He was the only fed champ on the enemy team, and my recently deceased team had respawned, giving us a winning push!

Disclaimer:I DO NOT OWN THIS STORY, ALL OF IT BELONGS TO Hextech Gunblade

Your Combo

In a 1v1 fight, in which Ezreal excells, I use this combo:(and ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE IT IS A 1V1 DO YOU USE THIS COMBO)

> > > >Attack> >Attack> >

If your 1 opponent isnt dead by now, try to chase them down with Arcane Shift, and Mystic Shot.

TEAMFIGHTS:

try to stay around the back and fire at the enemy with Mystic Shot. never use Arcane Shift to do damage in the fight unless its wearing down and you need to finish off the last few ppl.

YOUR ULT AND TEAMFIGHTS:

In a large fight with lots of your enemies grouped together, it could be wise to use Trueshot Barrage in the beginning to get full stacks on your Rising Spell Force, but most of the time you should save it until the end to last hit enemies trying to escape.

like i said above, i appreciate all feedback that you have for this guide, and i look forward to it:D.
