Hi, MOBAfire community, and Welcome to my Guide!, I'm Weird Builds, and this is my in-Depth Rammus Guide. I worked hard to make this guide the best I could, and I would appreciate any and all feedback that you may provide. .

This guide is an in-depth guide for RAMMUS, the Armordillo
I have the Guide divided in 2 sections: The Serious builds and the "Anti-Meta" or even "Troll" builds, the "Troll" builds are for fun, i DONT guarantee a good score.
I have tried all these 4 ways of playing Rammus and they all worked. Currently, the best is Jungle Rammus, but if you just wanna have fun playing normals,you can also try AD and AP Bruiser Rammus to solo top (viable in low elo ranked games too).
He has very high survivality and good damage output, also a huge amount of Armor.
his passive, Spiked Shell makes building tanky items such as Sunfire Aegis or Guardian Angel better.
Rammus is unique and special, his kit is designed to kill anyone 1v1 or survive a 5v1 gank, to gank the heck out of an enemy and tower dive at lvl 3, you can also carry your team even if you are not the ADC.
So, OK. read this guide and lets win another match!
NOTE: ALWAYS remember that you are supposed to feed your team, baby sit it and make your team extremely fed, so people will love you, that's why you are picking Rammus, because you want your team to love you. Don't think about getting kills, you won't need so much gold. Only with AD bruiser and AP bruiser rammus you will want kills. If you want to get fed, then go away and play Darius.
You can pick Rammus when:
Enemies' have a lot of AD champions
You are not recomended to pick Rammus when:
Their team composition is AP oriented

Top Rammus Counters
Trundle
He can easily counter jungle Rammus, pillar is good for stopping ganks, and his ult can cause his defenses to go into negative numbers if he hits him before he leaves ball form.
Olaf
This Crazy Berserker can Ragnarok out from Rammus puncturing taunt. Also, Olaf has true damage which is good against Rammus.
Shyvana
Counter jungling. Rammus needs blue, so Shyavana takes your red uncontested. She clears your entire wraith side before you are done with your blue. So yeah when you are lvl 2 Twiddling thumbs she is lvl 5 and up 15 cs.
Top Countered by Rammus
Tryndamere
Defensive Ball Curl + puncturing taunt + Thornmail= watch Tryn kill himself.
Master Yi
Same reason like Tryndamere, Defensive Ball Curl + puncturing taunt + Thornmail= watch Yi kill himself.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn is an ADC based on attack speed, in lategame, her attack speed will only make she suicide.
This is the Abilities Explanation Section, now that you know when and when not to pick rammus, is time to know his Abilities.
SPIKED SHELL: |
This is a great Passive, It gives you bonus attack damage equal to 25% of your total armor, that means if you have 100 Armor you will have 25 AD! So always remember building Armor items on Rammus is like building Magic Resist Items on Galio, extremely viable. |
POWERBALL: |
Powerball is the Q ability of Rammus. Powerball is what allows Rammus to Roam faster and to Escape a 5 men gank.Also, it has a small knock up on impact, that makes this a great ability to interrupt channeling abilities like Katarina´s Death Lotus or Nunu & Willump´s Absolute Zero, even Karthus´ Requiem (when alive). |
DEFENSIVE BALL CURL: |
Defensive Ball Curl is the W ability of Rammus, a great ability for skirmishes at any level. Take this first at Jungling, it helps a you to survive more in the jungle. Great ability that returns damage dealt as magic damage, also scales with both AP and Armor. This is why Rammus is so good vs AD oriented Teams...... Simply perfect and great combined with Thornmail |

PUNCTURING TAUNT: |
This is Rammus´ main ability for ganking, or making the enemy ADC suicide in a Teamfight. Also a great Skirmishing skill, and one of the most important skill in the Ability combos. Dont forget this ability can interrupt channels too.So, lets suppose that the enemy team have a Nunu & Willump channeling Absolute Zero and a Katarina channeling Death Lotus, you will think: Oh dear god, this fight is done, they pwned us.... but NO! just Powerball to Katarina and then puncturing taunt Nunu & Willump and everything will be OK.(thats why Rammus always says ¨OK¨). |

My Rune Preferences!
Runes
The Greater Mark of Attack Speed are very useful in Rammus since his AS is very low without items, these runes helps for more clearing speed that becomes earlier ganks. |
The Greater Seal of Armor are must-have runes on Rammus, because reducing the jungle monster's damage means higher HP during the jungle. Also gives you more Early game damage because of your passive, Spiked Shell. |
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist will help you to reduce the Huge Burst of the enemy AP in Lategame. |
Some MS is good for Roaming, Ganking, escape and chase, must take. |
Runes
You will take the Greater Mark of Armor instead of the Greater Mark of Attack Speed because your seals wont be Greater Seal of Armor , they will be Greater Seal of Gold, and Armor is a must for Rammus, so, always take this one. | Take Greater Seal of Gold to gain some money, this will help you to get items faster and make wards and potions cheaper, because with 9 Greater Seal of Golds you will have a total of 2.25 gold per 10 + normal gold gain + philosopher stone = in 15 seconds you will get a "free" potion. |
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist will help you to reduce the Huge Burst of the enemy AP in Lategame. |

The Greater Quintessence of Health gives you high amount of early survivality. | The Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration gives you early damage with your Defensive Ball Curl to make the enemy carry cry and regret from hitting you. |

The Greater Mark of Magic Penetration can help AP bruiser Rammus from getting a lot of Damage, specially with Soaring Slam | A must have rune, very powerful Early game, you can win most 1v1 fights by poping your Defensive Ball Curl , adding the armor you gain from runes. It make you unkillable at early levels. |
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist will help you to reduce the Huge Burst of the enemy AP in Lategame. |

- Can be easily kited and baited by long range ADCs like Caitlyn. - Can't heal your ADC, means a low sustain lane. - Your Laning phase will be very hard, A sustained lane like Urgot + Soraka will destroy you. |
AD/AP Bruiser
+ Great Duelist, can 1v1 almost anyone. + Constant DPS. + High Survivality and decent damage.[/center] |
- Item dependant. - No Instant high burst. - Can't survive as much as the Authentic Rammus. |
