Wellcome
This is my second guide on Sejuani, as I tought that my first guide on her had to be redone.
The reason I wanted to redo my guide was that it was my first guide I ever made and now I've gotten better at writing and also elaborating.
Sejuani was my favorite jungler for a while, I bought her the day she was released, I actually fed my first game with her, that was because I didnt know how to play her and I just dindt know how to build her.
So I hope that you will enjoy my new and remade guide on Sejuani, The Winters Wrath!
On her twentieth birthday, Sejuani declared that she would lead her people out of their remote isolation to conquer the lands of their enemies. She had completed her training and she was ready to face the leaders of the opposing tribes. Her feats had already become legend and soldiers in her company were inspired to new heights of strength and resolve. However, before she struck out on her campaign, Ashe began campaigning for peace in Freljord, joining the League of Legends to demonstrate how the people could be spared violence. To Sejuani, this was a violation of tradition – a coward’s ruse to hoard Freljord's precious few resources. She saw the confidence of her people wane as it seemed they would never be delivered from their plight. She decided that to truly prove herself as the rightful ruler of Freljord, she must defeat Ashe completely and unquestionably on the world’s stage in the League of Legends.
"Freljord provides for the few. For the others, 'peace' means only death."
Sejuani
Runes
GREATER MARK OF FORTITUDE
The More HP The Better
I take these mainly becasue it will help you in your early game, but it also benefits your Northern Winds as it scales with a procentage of your maximum HP.
GREATER SEAL OF RESILIENCE
More Armor Less Physical Damage Taken.
These will help you jungle alot easier and it will also make you tankier as well, taking less damage from physical attacks.
GREATER GLYPH OF SHIELDING
Magic Resist Per Level
These are here because they will help you against those nasty mages and their spells, reducing the damage they do to you.
GREATER QUINTESSENCE OF SWIFTNESS
Makes you faster.
Don't skip these because they are expensive, they will help you in and after the laning phase, they will help you catch running champions easier, and make you even more anoying.
Item Sequence
When the game has started you should startout by buying a Regrowth Pendant and a Health Potion, you can start with a Mana Potion. When you go back for the first time you should buy a Philosopher's stone and Boots, after you got your Boots you can start on a Heart of Gold.
When you have finnished your Heart of Gold you finnish your boots and build it into Mercury's Treads, it will help you against stuns, silences, snares, slows and fears.
After that you should get a Giant's Belt and a Chain Vest, and you build that into a Sunfire Aegis. After you finnished your Sunfire Aegis you should start on a Force of Nature, starting by getting a Negatron Cloak.
force on nature
When you've finnished Force of Nature you should finnish your Shurelya's Battlesong. Start out by getting an Kindlegem, it will give you some cooldown reduction and health, both of what you need, after that you finnish it.
When you are done with Shurelya's Battlesong you start on Randuin's Omen, starting out with another Chain Vest building that in to Warden's Mail, it will make those who hit you have a chance of getting slowed, when you got Warden's Mail you get another Cloth Armor, finnishing your Randuin's Omen.
When you have finnished your Randuin's Omen, you should start on Guardian Angel, it gives you some armor, magic ressist, it will also respawn instantly on lokation if you die, but it has a 5 minute cooldown.
Here is how it would look if you went for offtank
Item Sequence
Free wards every three minutes
Alot of junglers take these, some solo toppers takes this as well, I don't recommend this for Sejuani
FROZEN MALLET
More HP and A Bigger Slow
It is viable on Sejuani, it will make you slow those who you hit even more, and it will also give you more Hp, so it benefits your Northen Winds as well
ATMA'S IMPALER
More HP More AD
This is a good choice if you are going offtank, it will give you some attack damage, based on your maximum HP
INFINITY EDGE/b]
Hit and Crit Harder
I don't really recommend this item for Sejuani as it's better on a AD Carry.
MAW OF MALMORTIUS
Gain a shield when you get low hp
This is a quite good tank item in general, it will also make you hit a little harder.
WIT'S END
Hit faster slow more
This is generally a good tank item, as it gives you magic resist, it's also very good on Sejuani as it will make you slow them more.
Item Sequence
BOOTS OF MOBILITY
Fastest Boots
These boots are good if you are roaming, but the movement speed boost in combat is just the same as Mercury's Treads and Ninja Tabi
MERCURY'S TREADS
Anti CC or AP
These are probably the best boots for Sejuani as it gives you tenacity and magic resist, take it against teams with alot of cc or an AP heavy team comp.
NINJA TABI
Anti Ad or aa champ boots
Take these boots if you are facing an heavy AD team comp, other vice I wouldn't use them.
BOOTS OF SWITNESS
Faster Boots
These are good if you want to be just a little bit faster, you wont be alot faster, but it will help you chase people down.
This will allow you to make the most out of your slow from Permafrost and the most damage output from Northern Winds
FROST
(Innate): Sejuani's basic attacks apply Frost, a slowing effect, reducing enemy movement speed by 10% for 3 seconds.
This is anoying as hell, trying to out run a Sejuani is almost impossible, unless you got a dash and a stun or heavy slow
ARCTIC ASSAULT
(Active): Sejuani charges forward, dealing magic damage and applying Frost to enemies. Sejuani stops upon colliding with an enemy champion.
This is a great initiator, maybe not as great as Amumu's Bandadge Toss + Curse of the Sad Mummy combo, but still a great initiator
NORTHERN WINDS
(Active): Sejuani summons an arctic storm around her for 5 seconds, dealing magic damage each second to nearby enemies.
Damage is increased by 50% against enemies affected by Frost or Permafrost.
This plus the passive from Sunfire Aegis will deal alot of AoE damage, it will burn and freeze your enemies, but be carefull when escaping via Baron, as it will make him agro you.
PERMAFROST
Sejuani converts Frost on nearby enemies to Permafrost, dealing magic damage and increasing the movement speed reduction for 3 seconds.
This is one of the best slows in the game, and it's a great way to prevent someone from escaping, or when you are escaping it is also a great tool to make sure that no one can catch you, except for Master Yi, 'casue no one can slow Master Yi
GLACIAL PRISON
Sejuani throws her weapon, stunning the first enemy champion hit for 2 seconds and all other nearby enemies for 1 second. All affected targets take magic damage and are affected by Frost.
This is basicly Ashe's Enchanted Crystal Arrow on a smaller scale, as it's not an global ultimate, it's a great way to initate fights, just aim at their AD carry and throw, it will buy your team enough time to engage and take them out.
-
- I really recommend getting ghost on Sejuani as it will make you jungle faster, and it will help you escape or chase down someone.
-
- You are jungling, you have to have this, you won't be able to jungle with out it.
-
- Flash is a viable choice on any champion, it will move you through walls and work as a gap closer or a gap extender.
- - You should only take this is you are facing a Vayne or a Tryndamere, other wise you should leave it to the solo top champ.
When you start a teamfight you should either ult the other team or use Arctic Assault and Premafrost, it will make the other really slow and making your team able to cath up and engage.
If you are getting engaged and are losing, if you have your Glacial Prison you should save it for when you are escaping or if you think that you can turn the tide of the battle with it.
More information will be added later on.
I have to thank jhoijhoi for his guide on making a guide(Guideception). Without his guide my guide wouldn't look as good, and it would only be a wall of text that nobody would read. So you have my thanks jhoijhoi.
Thanks for reading and I wish you the best of luck
