Here's how I see it:
If his clone works well as an escape/disruptor so he can bounce in and out of fights, he can be built similarly to Shaco. However, he doesn't have quite the same ability to really bounce in and out of fights, so we'll assume he has to be a bit more tanky.
Here's how I'll build him (solo top most likely, for the extra farm):
- early brutalizer, for the damage
- warmogs
- atmas
- trinity force
- pure damage after that, maybe a last whisper or other such things.

Well, I looked at Pantheon, and I guess WuKong could just use Crushing Blow and Nimbus Strike the same way Ashe uses Volley as a damage-boost.

I guess it all just depends on his damage output. It would be hard to balance him in any melee-carry or non-tanky melee kinda position, especially with Stone Skin, which would be really weird on anything like that. He'll probably be annoying to play against, but I can't really see him as a game-changer.

I think the skill order will be R > Q > E > W. Just a hunch.
I'd probably go with the items I get on assassins, with some tweaks.

Youmuu's Ghostblade is obvious, fantastic synergy.
I'm tempted to say
Zeke's Harbinger? It would work very well I think with his ultimate.
Then defensive or hybrid situationals like
Banshee's Veil,
Aegis of the Legion,
Frozen Heart, or
Hexdrinker.

woah. For some reason it never occurred to me to stealth in and ult... lol... I was like... idk... wtf? I'm now under the impression that I don't put nearly enough thought into these things. xP
