Leona
My perma ban right now, cant poke her out, so much cc, laning phase is just 14 minutes of staying under turret. Boring.

Thanks for reading my guide!

+ Makes ![]() + Access to ![]() + Harder to punish postioning mistakes + Nice to bring against All-in/Hard engage comps ( ![]() ![]() + More popular option to bring right now due to the dominance of engage and mage supports. + Stronger shields than aery - Sacrifices lane pressure as your abilities will deal next to nothing. - Not as good as ![]() - Less ability haste than the ![]() |
+ ![]() + Can proc ![]() ![]() + Will make more use of ![]() ![]() + Nice to bring in lanes where you can trade without dying + More fun to play as you will be playing more aggressive in lane + More CDR than ![]() - Squishier than ![]() - Aery is hard to control in teamfights where you would be switching up doing damage and shielding allies - It feels like they nerfed ![]() |

Summary:

Boots
![]() |
Ionian Boots of Lucidity As of preseason 11, ability haste is uncapped, so it would make sense to just stack up on cdr, as it is a very important stat for ![]() ![]() ![]() |
![]() |
Boots of Mobility The out of combat movement speed really helps with roaming and vision control, although it drops down to only +25 while in combat, so be cautious of your teamfight positioning. |
![]() |
Boots of Swiftness As slows are also appearing more often (Vs ![]() ![]() |
Common items
![]() |
Mikael's Blessing A decent option if the enemy has a lot of CC (crowd control). Could potentially be bought first if the enemy botlane combo relies on cc to engage ( ![]() ![]() Important tip: it also cleanses CC that happens 0.2 seconds after it has been used! Making hard CC self cleanses possible. |
![]() |
Ardent Censer* Go for ardents early only if your ADC/Attack speed teammate is doing well. I usually go this after ![]() |
![]() |
Staff of Flowing Water* Same stats with ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() |
Zhonya's Hourglass This item is good when the enemy team tries to focus you down first or when they have a fed assassin. Get this as a 5th item. |
![]() |
Knight's Vow Gives 400 health, 10 AH, and 300% base health regen. The passive is what makes this item worth getting, 15% of damage taken by your carry is redirected towards you. Get ![]() |
- In this stage you want to look for enemy abilities that you can Polymorph/Knock up.
- It will help you decide which abilities to use for which enemy abilities.
-Keep an eye out for channeled AOE abilities/ultimates, likeKatarina's
Death Lotus,
Samira's
Inferno Trigger, etc.
- Look at your botlane and the enemy botlane and see what the win conditions are for both sides.
-Decide if you can play aggressive/trade and buy the proper support item for that situation.
Relic Shield for hard matchups,
Spellthief's Edge for when you can play aggressive.
- Majority of the time if youre playing with a hypercarry, or if the enemy botlane is an all in combo (
Lucian
Braum or really long range (
Caitlyn
Vel'Koz), just stay back and play safe (Try not to be behind your ADC).
Look at the enemy team comp.
- If they have a lot of cc, especially botlane combo, rush
Mikael's Blessing.
- If they have a lot of assassins, rush
Locket of the Iron Solari.
- If they have a lot of tanks, you can go
Moonstone Renewer.
As
Lulu you generally want to look to trade with the enemy (preferabbly ADC)
(skip this if you went
- Try to get level 2 before the enemy does (by autoing the wave and/or using skills on it) which will allow you to play more aggressive and maybe even zone them off CS.
- Poke the ADC when they are going for CS.
- Poke melee supports (if safe to do so) when they're going to last hit minions
- Poke ranged supports when they used their main poking tool (ie
Brand's
Pillar of Flame,
Janna's
Zephyr)
Decide to do 3E W max or just E max
- If you started E at level 1, when you reach level 2, you can hold off leveling your W or Q if youre unsure of the lane state. I usually level Q if I land an E on the enemy, and W when the enemy support dives you/ADC, or when your ADC has level 2 advantage and is starting to run them down.
- Go to is usually 3E W max, but if enemy botlane has annoying poke, max E first.
- 3Q W is only when you can win trades and have the pressure to do so, although it is quite rare to max it this way.
Pink circles are control wards.
Green circles are normal wards.

Red side:

Protect your carry! 💜
- Use your spells on your carry (doesn't have to be ADC when he isn't fed/doing well) when in teamfights
- Make sure to polymorph the strongest member of the enemy team. Interrupting channelled AOE abilities is also important.
- You can leave your ADC alone if he is farming/freezing safely under his turret, but when he starts pushing make sure to ward the surrounding areas and/or accompany him in pushing.
Ward objectives at least 1 minute 30 seconds before it spawns, as your support item wards lasts 2 mins and 30 seconds
Control Wards will be crucial here to deny vision. Make your enemies facecheck their way into the objectives/bushes and delay their advance!
- If possible, ask someone nearby to help you ward (escort) when you dont know where the enemies are.
- With map awareness you can definately pull off solo ward/deep warding missions.
Mikael's Blessing will help you ward against high cc/global ults (TF, Panth) when solo warding.
Pink circles are control wards.
Green circles are normal wards.
Blue side:

Red side:

- Get level 2 first when you can, it lets you zone the enemy off / win a trade / start an all in with your adc.
- Against engage you'll want to try to freeze the wave under your own tower so they cant engage on you or your ADC. Getting your wave frozen under enemy turret will give them many opportunities to engage and get ganked by the enemy jungler.
- Start Q
Glitterlance against melee and E
Help, Pix! against ranged.
- Get boots first (tier 1 / tier 2) if it's a lane where you need to dodge skillshots.
Mikael's Blessing first if enemy sup + adc + jungler has lots of cc. (ie:
