Now let's talk more for each item:
Core item's(are the items that you must buy each game in my opinion):
1)

It is a really good item because it gives you a lot of mana regen with its [UNIQUE Passive - Mana Font: Increases Mana Regen by 1% for every 1% of missing Mana]. to help you poke your enemy or get some mana to escape and gives you some Magic resist so that the enemy AP carry don't burst you down in a second.
2)

In my opinion is a must item for each Ap carry.It gives you a lot Ability Power.Also its UNIQUE Passive: Increases Ability Power by 30%.That mean a huge Ability Power boost
3)

This item is the third item in Lux core because of its UNIQUE Active - Stasis: Champion becomes invulnerable and untargetable for 2.5 seconds, but is unable to move, attack, cast spells, or use items during this time (90 second cooldown ).I think is really important because Lux is really weak if someone come close to her an that active can save your life.It also gives a lot Ability Power and armor.
Good items on Lux:
1)

It is a simple item that gives some good magic penetration that you need in Lux (and in every other Ap carry) and some more ap.You should always take some magic penetration so you can replace it with Abyssal Scepter(but i prefer void staff).
2)

This item gives you some health ,a little more ap and some more magic penetration,but what makes that item good is its UNIQUE Passive.That means it can kill the opponent that left with 50-100 hp,do some damage to the high hp targets , and it works good with

3)

This item gives you a nice amount of ap,it also gives some good Cooldown Reduction.It also have a nice UNIQUE Passive that reduces healing and regeneration rates by 50% for 4 seconds that mean it destroy




4)

Gives a good amount of AP and also some mana(it giving you more mana for each ability you cast until the cap).It gives also the UNIQUE Passive that gives AP for the more mana you have and also if you max it gives a pretty good shield based on your current mana.I don't like that item on

5)

It gives a pretty good magic resist and it can be really useful against the opponent AP carry,it also gives some good AP. It also have a pretty good aura-passive that lower the opponents Magic resist on 600 range.The reason i don't really like that item is that the 600 range is pretty small and if you wants your opponent to be in it you are losing your safety
6)

This a very good item under the right circumstances.In more detail if you having a pretty good game with many kills and no or 1-2 deaths from early game it is a good time to get it and if you want to build it now is a good time.You should build it pretty early or else is pretty useless because you want be able to stack it.Its passive gives 1 stack for assist and 2 for kill and each stack gives 8 AP,IF you max it 20 stacks you get a nice cd reduction.So if you buy it you should play safe don't leave your safe zone and just spamm your opponent from far away or else you would star losing your stacks and then the item it would be useless.
I don't really like/suggest for Lux:
1)

It is a nice item for the most ap carries because it gives some good ap , mana and health.But it is not really cheap and want 10 minutes to gives its max stats,also health is pretty useless on

2)

This item gives some good ap and health and have a nice passive that slows enemies when they are hit by your spell for a lot of ap carries but it doesn't combine with


3)

This item gives some ap and also have a aura that gives spell vamp and ap.the reasons i don't like this item are simple:first if someone in your team going to by that item for the aura is your support or the other ap champ,second you don't really need spell vamp because you should just not take damage at all.
4)

This item gives a good ap and some small cd redustion.this item main benefit is its passive Deals 15% of target champion's maximum Health in Magic Damage then amplifies all magic damage they take by 20% for 4 seconds.So it easy to understand that this is a good item for bursting a single opponent,but your role us


5)

This item gives some ap ,mana and movement speed ,but the most common reason to buy this item is its passive [After using an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus magic damage]. This passive combine really well with your passive but like a said a million times already you should just not go to auto attack range because it is not safe
