This is a quick jungle Rammus build mainly for solo Q ranked and normal games on Summoners Rift.

Are you interested in killing the enemy under their turret with no problems?

Can you take it when the enemy flames you with stuff like ¨omg so op learn to play a real champ¨

Then read this and make it so!

King Rammus is the best Rammus skin as you clearly are the king of the jungle

Note that this is a skin which was given away for free after the closed beta, you can´t get it anymore

Ravaged by Rune Wars long past, the lands south of the Great Barrier are wrecked by chaotic magical storms, leaving the grasp of nature's rule tenuous at best. While abnormal flora or fauna are the norm rather than the exception in these ruined areas, perhaps none is more curious than the case of Rammus. While no one is entirely certain why an armadillo from the Shurima Desert crossed the ***ungu Jungle into the Plague Jungles, Rammus made just such a journey. There, amongst the twisted vines and festering rot, he came across an oddity - a healthy evergreen hedge maze, stretching as far as the eye could see. As he explored the maze, something compelled him toward its center - a light, a presence of some kind. As he drew closer, the light surged, blinding him and knocking him unconscious.

When he awoke, Rammus' whole world had changed. The maze had vanished and he felt truly cognizant for the first time in his otherwise unremarkable life. As his predicament dawned on him, Rammus had a moment of panic. As he trembled, the earth around him began to shake, the intensity increasing until he managed to steady himself. As the quake receded, Rammus arose and left the Plague Jungles in search of others like him. His search brought him across all the lands south of the Great Barrier, but everywhere he went, he was unique.The hardships of this sojourn inspired him to craft the suit of armor that would earn him the title of Armordillo. Rammus' quest eventually drew him to the only place where a sentient armadillo is less than confounding - the League of Legends.

For runes I use Greater Mark of Attack Speed, Greater Seal of Armor, Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist and Greater Quintessence of Health.

I haven´t done the maths but this has been working out great for me.

Greater Mark of Attack Speed will speed up your early jungle as you do a lot of damage with your Defensive Ball Curl + Spiked Shell so if you got the damage why not hit faster with hit.

Greater Seal of Armor is just the best option on Rammus period.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist is what I always use on Rammus as you usually don´t come out your jungle before lvl 3/4. It will also give you some nice defences while ganking for example the AP carry in the mid lane.

Greater Quintessence of Health to give you extra more time to tank that lvl 1 fight or early ganks

So far I never had the idea I was missing something or that I needed to change anything.

But remember that you are Rammus, you can easily change the Greater Quintessence of Health and Greater Mark of Attack Speed for something you like more. Although I think this is the best option Rammus has the powers to dominate the jungle and lanes with random tier 2 runes.

For masteries I take 21 in defense with Hardiness , veteran´s scars, Tough Skin , Initiator Honor Guard and Juggernaut

I don´t take Indomitable because that one reduces the incoming damage while Tough Skin reduces damage taken (just vs creeps tho, but fast jungle is more important).

If you have less incoming damage then you will hit them for a little less with your Defensive Ball Curl.

You probably saw that I didn´t put a point in Bladed Armor .

6 Damage seems pretty nice and yes it is, but I already have experienced to many times that the ap carry was so slow with walking towards me that I took the buff Bladed Armor while standing still.

Therefore I just don´t take it anymore to avoid these situations.

Further I put 9 points into the utility tree as I just don´t want to jungle Rammus without Runic Affinity

The increased buff duration is just awesome because red is pretty awesome if you are ganking.

I also pick up Good Hands because as a tank you will probably die sometimes and waiting to re spawn is boring and you can pretty well defend a turret with your Defensive Ball Curl plus puncturing taunt, also Expanded Mind and Improved Recall are not that great on Rammus

Grab the extra movementspeed from Swiftness as it is the best choice in tier 2 and then ofcourse Runic Affinity for an extra long red buff duration.

Red buff on rammus = hell for your enemy :).

Summoner Spells

As a jungler you always need Smite (obviously) for buff, dragon and baron secure and stealing

Then I always pick up Flash because late game you sometimes need it to get in their ad carry range, but if you want Ghost go ahead, it´s also pretty strong.

Start with a Regrowth Pendant and 1 Health Potion. Remember you are Rammus the King of the jungle and you don´t need Cloth Armor and 5 x Health Potion

Build it later into a Nomad's Medallion and get Boots of Speed (which you later most likely will build into mercurys treads

Your first big item should be Warmog's Armor as it is just GREAT on Rammus since it works perfect with the TONS OF armor en MR you are getting from your Defensive Ball Curl.

Later get your friend Atma's Impaler, this will boost your damage up in the sky thanks to the 2% hp into dmg conversion + the 25% total armor into damage conversion from your passive Spiked Shell.

Remember that a tank without damage is not so scary. With these items they need to get rid of you or you will kill their carry without much problems :).

Don´t waste your precious gold on Aegis of the Legion in solo Q, I know the item is pretty great but in solo Q you will get RTARDS all day long and that aura isn´t going to safe them from their brain malfunctioning.

Build your Philosopher's Stone into a Shurelya's Reverie because Powerball + the activate of this item = insane movementspeed followed by a taunt.

Get some MR to get more tanky, a Force of Nature usually does the trick but a Banshee's Veil is also a very good choise and sometimes even better, just adapt to the enemy team

However when facing an AP heavy team you might want to get the Force of Nature/ Banshee's Veil right after your warmog armor but you have to decide that while playing.

As last item , get a Thornmail/ Sunfire Cape / Randuin´s Omen or a Guardian Angel. These items are all great options, just look at the enemy team and think of what would be the most useful :)

So to sum it al up here my Rammus core items

After these items you should just look at what you need because you need to tank the enemy team and their setup is always different and so will your items be then :).

For extra MR take on of these

If you need more armor consider one of these

Sometimes you might even want to get

Skill Sequence

Startin with the Defensive Ball Curl first, then Powerball and then you have to look how the game is going.

Do you see a great ganking opportunity? Get a point into puncturing taunt, else take Defensive Ball Curl lvl 2 to speed up your jungle

If you didn´t take puncturing taunt on lvl 3 then make sure to get it on lvl 4 as you really need to get your ganks going.

At all stages of the game you need to try and read the game, which skill do you think will be more useful but just make sure to max Powerball as last and take a point into Tremors when possible

I just follow the pretty standard route which works fine for Rammus.

Start with wolves and go to blue, let someone do some damage and then let him pull blue.

While you don´t need a pull it is highly recommended as it will speed up your jungle plus you will have more hp left so ganking will be easier.
