Introduction

Singed is a very good champion and is often over looked. Most singed players that I see don't do so well. Maybe is because they don't know you can be a tank AND deal insane damage at the same time. Have you ever seen a Singed with over 4k hp and dealing 900+ damage with Fling? What about dealing insane 200+ poison damage a second? You will be getting more kills than assists with this build. Most guides you will find just focuses on tanking and supporting your team. This build is the same way but with INSANE damage :) Scroll down and check my screen shots out for proof that You will get minimal deaths and lots of kills.

This build is mainly directed to 3v3 players. If you 3v3 ALWAYS take the solo lane. You will get really easy kills and be able to gank easy but don't let that fool you. this build is also amazing on a 5v5 :) For proof that this works scroll down to the end and look at the screen shots.

The Legend of Singed

Trained by the Alchemists of Zaun, the man now known as Singed was once the apprentice of Warwick, a scientific mercenary in the employ of the armies of Noxus. His master invented implements of mass death and destruction, chemicals that could burn a man's lungs to ash, poisons that killed selectively, and more. All the time, Singed laughed, delighted in the death and destruction. Then came the day that his master was cursed, transformed forever into a lycanthrope. Singed continued where his master left off, bringing a brand new world of suffering to the people of Ionia. These days, Singed is barely even a man, both ruined and kept alive by the unholy chemicals he has created. If there ever was anything human about the man, it has been burned away along with much of his flesh.

''The apprentice has certainly outstripped the master.''

Items

Boots:Boots of Swiftness are the best boots you could use on Singed imho. The reason behind this is because of 2 abilities Singed has. Poison Trail and Fling. He needs to catch up to an enemy to fling him into your poison and into your blood thirsty team.
Another alternative item would be thesorceress shoes. They only have 1 less move speed but what they lack in speed they gain in magic penetration. They can be very useful in dealing more poison damage over time.
The third boots you could use are theMercury's Treads. These are good boots when trying to fill the tank roll or favor survivability. They give a nice 25 magic resist with a movement speed of 2. The unique passive reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, sleeps, and immobilize by 35%
The 4th boots you can choose from are theNinja Tabi. They give +25 Armor +12% Dodge Chance UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement 2. The main focus on these shoes is the dodge chance. Only get these shoes if you decide to get the dodge chance and dodge speed masteries in defense.

Rod of Ages: This is the item that makes singed. It takes 10 minutes for Rod of Ages to fully reach maximum potential. When Rod of Ages reaches that point the stats will be 630 Health 725 mana and 80 AP Because Singed's Passive ability grants him 1/4th mana to Health, Rod of Ages gives 181 more health than it would for any other champion. That means Rod of Ages gives 811 health total. (IMPORTANT: If you find yourself doing good you may want to wait to upgrade your boots of speed to save money for your Rod of Ages. YOU NEED TO GET THIS IN EARLY GAME! LIKE STATED BEFORE, IT TAKES 10 MINUTES TO GAIN A FULL POWERED ROD OF AGES. THE TIMER STARTS WHEN YOU GET THE ITEM NOT WHEN THE GAME STARTS)

Banshee's Veil: This is almost a MUST on Singed. It gives you more well needed health and mana. On top of that it also gives you magic resist with a GREAT UNIQUE passive. Banshee's Veil gives 375 health 375 mana and 50 magic resist. This item gives mana so you know what that means...MORE HP! 1/4th of 375 is 93 so you gain an additional 93 health on top of the 375 you all ready have. So Banshee's Veil gives 468 health 375 mana and 50 magic resist. The UNIQUE passive blocks one negative spell every 45 seconds.

Mejai's Soulstealer: Singed has amazing survivability so getting stacks on Majai's Soulstealer shouldn't be a problem. Even if you arn't getting kills, you ARE getting assists because of Fling and Poison Trail. I know you guys are probably screaming at this build because you get Majai's so late in the game, but there is a reason for this. Because you got Rod of Ages and Banshee's Veil, you have enough Health, defence (From current level, masterys, and ult), and Magic resist, making you a hard target to kill. Because you are hard to kill now in this point of the game you will get easy stacks and don't have to worry much about dieing.

Now here is where the build can branch off leaving you some choices to pick from. If you are doing good and want to kill them pesky champs quicker and be able to make awesome escapes grab Rylai's Crystal Scepter Rylai's Crystal Scepter gives +500 Health +80 Ability Power Passive: Dealing spell damage slows the target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds (15% for multi-target spells). Another 500 health and 80 ability power is just amazing :) on top of that your poison now slows for 15%, your acid slows for another 15%, and your fling slows for another 35%.

After Rylai's Crystal Scepter, I normaly start working for more AP if the enemy are heavy DPS or have little to no magic resist. Now since you have the option for one more item, the best way to go would be to getRabadon's Deathcap. Rabadon's Deathcap: +155 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive: Increases Ability Power by 30%. Seriously this item is more than OP when you all ready have a good chunk of AP. 155 more AP is just insane and then it also increases all AP by an additional 30% If you followed this guide exactly then after getting Rabadon's Deathcap you should have around 650 AP. More if you get aElixir of Brilliance. Elixir of Brilliance: Click to Consume: Grants 20-40 Ability Power, based on your champion's level, and reduces cooldowns by 10% for 4 minutes.

Situational Items

These are some good items you can use to replace Mejai's Soulstealer If you are having a hard time getting stacks. (You shouldn't have a hard time stacking Mejai's Soulstealer) These are also to replace anything after the Mejai's Soulstealer depending on the roll you are willing or want to fill.

Abyssal Scepter

+70 Ability Power +57 Magic Resistance UNIQUE Aura: Reduces the Magic Resist of nearby enemy champions by 20.

The added ability power is always nice and this item gives you better survivability than other ability power items.

Zhonya's Hourglass

+100 Ability Power +50 Armor UNIQUE Active: Places your champion into Stasis for 2 seconds, rendering you invulnerable and untargetable but unable to take any actions. 90 second cooldown.

This item is almost a must if you need to fill a more tank role. If you get this item always remember to drag it to your first item slot so you can be ready to use it whenever needed.

Will of the Ancients

+50 Ability Power UNIQUE Aura: Gives nearby allied champions +30 Ability Power and 20% spell vamp.

If you think Hextech Gunblade is too expensive then get this bad boy instead! This is a great aspect to your ability power friends!

Void Staff

+70 Ability Power UNIQUE Passive: +40% Magic Penetration.

Ability power, Magic Pen... Do I really need to say it?

Guardian Angel

+68 Armor +38 Magic Resistance UNIQUE Passive: Revives your Champion upon death, restoring 750 Health and 375 Mana, this effect can only occur once every 5 minutes.

This is a pretty solid item on any tank and should never be overlooked.

Quicksilver Sash

+48 Magic Resistance Active: Removes all debuffs from your character. 105 second cooldown.

This is just another cleanse but better :) Take this when dealing with a heavy crowd control team.

Randuin's Omen

80 Armor, 300 Health, 25 Health Per 5 Sec. UNIQUE Passive: 8% Cooldown Reduction and 20% chance on being hit to slow the attacker's movement and attack speed by 35% for 3 seconds. UNIQUE Active: Slows movement speeds and attack speeds of surrounding units by 35% for 2 seconds + 0.5 seconds for each 100 Armor and Magic Resist. 60 second cooldown.

Facing a pretty heavy attack damage team? Then look no further. This super mega awesome item will disable even the most fed Yi's. Just remember to use the items active in those team fights :)

Frozen Heart

+99 Armor +500 Mana UNIQUE Passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 25% and reduces the attack speed of nearby enemies by 20%.

More mana means more hp. The armor is also nice and will work well. This is good against any auto attacker.

Thornmail

+100 Armor UNIQUE Passive: On being hit by standard attacks, returns 30% of damage taken as magic damage.

This is also a very good when dealing with auto attackers.

Force of Nature

+76 Magic Resist +40 Health Regen per 5 sec +8% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: Restores 0.35% of your champion's health every second.

This is a pretty good item when dealing with them ability power champions. The movement speed also helps really nicely with Poison Trail and Fling.

Sunfire Cape

+450 Health +45 Armor UNIQUE Passive: Deals 40 magic damage per second to nearby enemies.

This is pretty neat because while your enemy is poisoned and you are following them you will be doing additional damage.

Lich Bane

80 Ability Power, 350 Mana, 30 Magic Resist, 7 Movement Speed. UNIQUE Passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 3 second cooldown.

This item works really well on Singed and shouldn't be over looked in many games. It helps you tank a little better against magic damage, gives you some nice ability power, and move speed. 100% more physical damage on your next attack after using an ability is pretty amazing. You can seriously wreck people with this and a Fling combo. This item gives 350 mana which mean it also gives 87 HP due to Empowered Bulwark

NOTE:Leave a comment giving me some suggestions about other situational items you use.

skills

Poison trail is Singed spotlight skill. You will be doing everything from damage to taunting with this baby. Most people will follow you if you run low on HP in a chase so use this skill as you run and let it do the dirty work for you. If you notice that your attack is running low on life and you have low life *** well, don't be scared to turn around and finish with a fling (ONLY DO THIS IF 1 PERSON IS CHASING AND YOU THINK THEY MAY STOP THE CHASE BECAUSE THEY ARE HURTING!).

This skill is really nice for getting in and out of battle. It can be used to run away or to slow fleeing champions. Never throw this on top of a chasing champion because it may miss and not slow them down. Instead throw it where they will be and you are guaranteed a hit. This also applies to chasing champions. Try to throw your Mega Adhesive where the enemy will be because chances are it WILL slow them 95% of the time (DO NOT THROW IT ON THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE TO BECAUSE THEY WILL MOVE AND IT WILL MISS) You can also use this skill to save your allies lives. What I really like about this skill is it works wonders when combined with Fling. In some situations I will throw Mega Adhesive down on or behind me. If I have Ghost, Insanity Potion, or both I will use them and charge an enemy. Make sure Poison trail is going then fling. They will probably land right in the middle of your Mega Adhesive and into your team making an easy kill.

Fling is Singed Best skill... Yes I said it, his best skill. Yeah poison is his main damage skill but Fling is what will really give you the kills and assists. Fling does amazing magic damage and throws them behind you. Upon landing the target is slowed for a very short time period making escape very difficult for your foe. Your team will love when you turret dive that pesky tower huger and fling him away right in the middle of your team. in 70-80% of the time this will be a successful kill or assist. Don't ever be scared to run and fling an enemy away from their turret because singed takes damage like a true champ(If you do this at a low level be very careful! Also wait until you at least reach level 6 for your Insanity Potion for that extra defense. Remember turrets do attack damage not magic damage.) If you are close from dieing or get ganked, Fling can save your life. When one or more of the enemy champs run up to you Fling them away and always make sure to follow up with a slow by Mega Adhesive. You can also do this the other way around. Fling can be used to throw enemy over walls if they are close enough to them. This takes some time and practice to master but it can be done and it can be an awesome way to gank someone or to get them out of the way and retreat. When you are chasing someone always make sure you have Poison Trail active and fling them over your shoulder and into your poison trail.

Insanity Potion is a low cooldown skill. This skill increases many stats that singed needs such as defenses, Ability Power, and movement speed. This is an amazing skill to use when you need to catch someone, turret dive, or just need to get someone quickly. I tend to use ghost and Insanity Potion at the same time to increase my movement speed by a significant amount. This is good if you want to run near an enemy turret the fling their champ out of safety and into the hands of your allies. Since this skill is on a low cooldown use it whenever you see an opportunity.

Summoner Spells

This is amazing on Singed. The reason why it works so well it because it stacks well with Singed's ult, Boots of Swiftness and Your main damage skill, Poison Trail (See the skill section).

Ignite is a good summoner skill for Singed because it just works so well with your poison trail. Don't just use it to last hit those champions. Poison + Ignite = Someone is dead. Just remember to not use Ignite if your enemy is close to full hp or you know they can get away in a chase.

Singed almost NEEDS this summoner skill to support the team. Cleanse and Fling work so well together. If you even run into a mob of enemy champs to fling one and something hits you like a snare just cleanse out of that baby and fling that champ into your allies.

You can choose whatever summoner spells you like but I feel as though both Ghost and Ignite are amazing on Singed. If you don't like Ignite or think its a waste then instead grab Cleanse or flash. Both can help you and your team to survive the most terrible team or solo fights.

After playing for a while now I decided to add in this baby because frankly its just going to win you the game. When you take the solo lane you can use Teleport to go back and buy or just push your lane and Teleport away into the team fight. Mid to late game try to not use this to go back and buy then simply warp back to keep farming. Instead save it and push your lane as much as possible and then warp right into your team. This will give you a HUGE advantage over your enemy. Someone on their team had to go stop you from pushing so when you warp into your team you will be fighting 5v4 for enough time to alter the outcome of the game. I highly recommend using Teleport for this purpose!

Runes

HP quintessence are amazing for early game survivability! It will allow you to stay in your lane much longer and survive tough attacks that may of killed you otherwise. You could also get flat AP, magic pen, or movement speed! It depends on your play style really.

Ability power per level runes are really good because at level 18 this will give you 27 more AP. Now this doesn't really sound like a lot but it is. The reason why this is amazing is because of Rabadon's Deathcap Unique Passive. It converts 30% of Ability power into more ability power. Because of this the glyphs really give you 35 ability power. Pretend you have 300 ability power. When you buy Rabadon's Deathcap you will gain 155 more ability power. so now you will have 455. now its time to add in its UNIQUE. 455*0.3=136.5 136.5+455=591.5 You now have 591 ability power. Okay that was without the runes so now ill add them in and show you how nice these runes are. 455+27=482 482*0.3=144.6 482+144.6=626.6

Defense runes are always a good choice on a tank and they help more than you think.

Magic Penetration runes are good on any champion doing damage with magic damage. they help let your Poison Trail do just that much more damage every tick. It also works pretty well for Fling, creating a more massive damage amount.

Tips

Madred's Bloodrazor

+30 Attack Damage +40% Attack Speed +25 Armor UNIQUE Passive: On hit, deals Magic Damage equal to 4% of the target's maximum Health.

Even if I have a lot of HP it doesn't make a difference. No matter how much HP you have it will always take the same amount of time to die when going up against a BloodRazor. Think about it this way. pretend you have 4k hp. 4000*0.04=160 Okay so BloodRazor will give your enemy 160 more damage when attacking you. With this damage it will take 25 normal hits to kill you (excluding other items, natural stats, and the 30 attack damage this item has) 4000/160=25 Now pretend you have only 100 HP. 100*0.04=4 Now BloodRazor will only do 4 damage. That sounds good right? but its not because it will still take 25 hits to kill me excluding other items. 100/4=25. Now that we established that you should now understand that it will ALWAYS take 25 hits to kill someone (With BloodRazor Unique Passive alone) Because of that fact there is no such thing as having too much HP... usually

regarding spell vamp:

Spell Vamp automatically works at 33% of the listed rate for multi-target spells

Hex-Tech Revolver - 10% Spell vamp
3.33333% Spell Vamp with any AoE

Hex-Tech Gunblade - 12% Spell vamp
3.996% Spell vamp with any AoE

Will of the Ancients - 15% Spell vamp
5% Spell vamp with any AoE

Click on the link to see it better. 21 kills 3 deaths 4 assists 202 minion kills 5 buildings destroyed. This is the screen shot from the last game I played. In the end my poison was doing 200 damage every second and my fling was doing about 900. At the same time I had over 100 armor and magic resist. I had about 3k mana and 4.4k HP with an elixir.

This is the screen shot from the last 3v3 games I played. I was overwhelming ever game I played. Make sure you take the top lane (very important). Good luck and have fun :)

These screen shots were taken a long time ago in the long forgotten Twisted Treeline map.

I now only use this build in the 5v5 summoners rift map

It's been a while since I've had time to actually do anything with this guide but here are some screenshots from the fans!(as promised)

Fling Priority / Counters

High priority Targets:

Akali- can burst down your carry and needs to be dealt with asap. Counter her with Magic Resist.

Annie- she can AoE stun with her passive Pyromania + Incinerate ability and can nuke almost anyone down instantly. Counter her with Magic Resist

Ashe- with her Enchanted Crystal Arrow she can make quick work of your teams carries. Counter her with Armor.

Cassiopeia- can turn any large scale team fight in her teams favor with a well timed Petrifying Gaze and that's never good. Counter her with Magic Resist.

Fiddlesticks- Is very devastating to your team and needs to be dispatched. AoE silence with Reap and did I mention that Crowstorm hurt? Counter him with Magic Resist.

Gangplank- most people play him as a total glass cannon and he will go down in a second if flung. His Parrrley and Cannon Barrage can be quite annoying and good means of harassment. Don't worry about his Remove Scurvy, he will die to quickly. Counter him with Armor.

Heimerdinger- This fellow is pretty annoying and hits really hard if built glass cannon (I see this all the time). Counter him with magic Resist.

Karthus- He has a ton of AoE abilities that will do a lot of damage. His ulimate

Requiem can be used to last hit multiple people at once. This ability has even got penta kills so take him out. He is also a good harasser. NOTE: This champion can also be a medium priority due to his passive Death Defied. If you do kill him get out of his range. Counter him with Magic Resist.

Katarina- she is a team killer with Death Lotus. She can be a little tank like sometimes and she can get away with Shunpo but she really needs to be dealt with. Counter her with Magic Resist. NOTE: If you see her Shunpo into your team and begin channeling Death Lotus, Fling her ASAP to stop her.

Kennen- He can AoE stun your entire team if given the chance. He has some escape methods but he needs to be dealt with whenever possible. Counter him with Magic Resist.

Kog'Maw- Can be killed very easily and can harass well from a distance. Don't fling him into an ally with low HP because he will blow up dealing true damage with Icathian Surprise. Counter him with either Magic Resist or Armor. Look to see what items he has.

Lux- Her ultimate Finales Funkeln can get pretty annoying on such a low cool down, devastating power, and last hitting capabilities. She can also stun with Light Binding and slow with Lucent Singularity. Counter her with Magic resist.

Malzahar- He has a ton of DoT abilities and will kill your carry within seconds with Nether Grasp. He needs to die. Counter him with Magic Resist.

Master Yi- does a lot of damage but he dies so quickly making him an easy target. Just watch out he may use Highlander to escape your Mega Adhesive. Counter him with Armor. NOTE: Once in a blue moon you will see an AP Master Yi so be sure to check his items.

Miss Fortune- get her out of the way. She is very easy to kill and if built right, can do some nice damage with Bullet Time. Normally counter her with Armor but sometimes people do go AP. If so counter her with Magic Resist.

Nunu & Willump- If he is channeling Absolute Zero don't hesitate to Fling him. This ability HURTS! It deals 1125 damage at level 3 and it has a 250% damage increase from total AP. NOTE: Don't Fling him if he isn't channeling. Counter him with Magic Resist.

Pantheon- Normally very easy to kill when focused. Having him dead means he may use Grand Skyfall to get back to his lane rather than a gank. Counter him with Armor and a Banshee's Veil (blocks his ultimate when he comes crashing down).

Ryze- One of the hardest hitting champions in the game. He should be dispatched of so he doesn't get a chance to use Desperate Power and Spell Flux on your entire team. NOTE: with the recent changes to him he has become a lot more tanky. Counter him with Magic Resist.

Sivir- She does good constant damage in team fights and is an amazing tower pusher due to her double hitting Boomerang Blade, Ricochet, and On The Hunt attack/move speed. NOTE: Before you Fling her make sure her Spell Shield is on cool down so she doesn't activate it at the right moment. Counter her with Armor.

Soraka- She is so annoying if played by a good player. Her heals are just ridiculous and can lose team fights for you. She can heal herself but she has no real means of escaping. NOTE: Infuse can be used on you to stop a Fling so know when to charge in. She doesn't do much damage but to counter her you will need Magic Resist.

Teemo- He is just annoying with his Blinding Dart, Move Quick, Toxic Shot, and Noxious Trap. He is a good poking champion and harasses well. When you kill him he will have a hard time sticking to his lane and placing shrooms everywhere while maintaining a higher level. Counter him with Magic Resist and sometimes Armor. Be sure to check his items.

Twisted Fate- He does very good constant damage and with a good use of Pick A Card he can disable your carry. Killing him will more than half the time result in him using Destiny to get back to his lane rather than use it to gank. A lot of people use him attack damage and ability power so counter with Armor or Magic Resist depending on his items.

Twitch- Have you ever heard PENTA kill! while playing? Well this champion was probably the reason why. He normally sits back and waits for someone to initiate before unleashing his Spray and Pray and Expunge combo. Counter him with Armor. NOTE: some Magic Resist is always good also.

Veigar- Baleful Strike can make him a very powerful champion and will nuke someone if they get caught in Event Horizon. Keep him away from your Ability Power champions because Primordial Burst will toast them. Counter with Magic Resist.

Xin Zhao- When played right he is a powerful champion and shouldn't be underestimated. Three Talon Strike can disable your carry. People normally play him almost totally glass cannon and is easy to take down. Counter him with Armor.

Why I like Rylai's Crystal Scepter

Rylai's Crystal Scepter is a hot disputed item when it comes to Singed. Do you get it? do you not get it? does it help you? or does it hurt you? These are all questions many people ask and I hear all kinds of responses. However I will not be covering other peoples opinions. I will give you mine.

-when combined with Fling you have a VERY powerful killing potential, even if you don't get the kill yourself. why you ask? Fling is a single target ability making it slow your flung target by 35% for 1.5 seconds because of the Rylai's Crystal Scepter passive.

All it takes is a good positioned Fling to throw someone into your team and kill them.

I am well aware that slows DO stack to an extent and to a degree.

If you notice I don't get the Rylai's Crystal Scepter early when I play, meaning I can kite just fine early game, and that should be the only time you even need to kite. Late game you need to be in the team fights and give your allies kills. So having a 15% slow on Poison Trail is really nice especially when your Mega Adhesive is on cool down. When you Fling someone and you don't have Mega Adhesive ready to use your Poison Trail will slow 15% which can allow allies to catch up or to keep your enemy slowed until you get your Mega Adhesive and Fling back from cool down. It is also to keep slowed people in your poison because you WILL be moving WAY faster than they will be meaning you can easily get in front of them and stay in front of them.

Go check out the Singed guide called 'Singed - AP Chemistry (Tank)' by EvilDice for reasons why some people don't like it.
