Hello everyone. I've been playing league since season 6. I used to play all lanes in the beginning, after learning about league and how to play like a pro, I started to play adc, from the beginning I liked to play marksmen a lot so I decided to main adc. Miss Fortune is one of the basic champions given by the makers of league. From that time I had a eye on her and she was so easy to handle and powerful. For starters it is must easy to play Miss Fortune than any other adc champions. I used to play with her like Rookie in the beginning after deciding to main adc I made sure I play Miss Fortune like a pro. So I played with almost everytime until was sure I can face any champions she was against in the match making and I also made sure that which champions sync with do deal tons of damage.
Recently I joined mobafire and decided to share my thoughts and ideas about her for the players who is obsessed with Miss Fortune like me and who wants main her.
Even many new players are being exposed to Miss Fortune even in season 10. In the practice tool, where the new player is introduced to league plays Miss Fortune.
So I decided let me share my ideas and thoughts about her so that many players will be benefited from this guide.
I love to play her because of her skill to one shot in late game which is very impressive.

Pros

+Heavy poke in lane
  • Your E Make it Rain and Q Double Up make you have a strong poke during laning phase, that makes you have a strong early game compared to others ADCs.
+Very hard One-shot potential +Team Fight changer R
  • Your R Bullet Time it's a game changer Ult. You can kill the entire enemy team with just one good R Be careful because if you cast it in a bad position, you'll probably gonna die.
+Very good movement speed
  • Altough you don't have so much mobility, your W Strut gives you a lot of speed when you are not in combat, this is useful to get in the lane or objetictives much faster.
Cons

-Low mobility
  • Altough you have speed, you don't really have mobility. You have to stay still to cast your R Bullet Time and you don't have any kind of dash like Lucian or Vayne.
-Position of R
  • Her ult Bullet Time deals a massive damage to enemies. But the flaw is her position, you cant ult whenever you need to it needs right time and right place to gete you kills. Her position is the main factor here, if you didnt time your ult its gonna be wasted.
-Easy for gank
  • Even though you have a good movement speed, in the moment that they hit you is gone, even if your try to use your W again, the passive will be gone if they hit you once more. The only kind of CC that you have is your E Make it Rain and it's not very much; that, combined with your low mobility, makes you an easy champion to gank.
-Very dependent of her supp
  • Again, you don't have mobility, so you're very fragile; also you need someone to engage and root the enemy to use your R
    Bullet Time correctly.

PASSIVE ABILITY
love tap
Whenever Miss Fortune basic attacks a new target, she deals 0.5 - 1.0 times her attack damage (at levels 1-18) bonus physical damage. Love Tap deals 50% damage to minions.
Bonus damage when you hit a a new target that scales with your AD as you level. Now as I said it *is* fantastic in lane but you will find it less useful in teamfights as it only procs a handful of times in most scenarios. That being said it makes those crits extra juicy. Position yourself in lane in a way that allows you to abuse the passive both for CS and for harass.
Q
DOUBLE UP
Miss Fortune fires a shot at an enemy target which deals 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+1.0 total attack damage) (+35% of ability power) physical damage before bouncing through her target to an enemy behind it.
Bounces can critically strike, and always critically strike when the first hit kills a target. Both hits apply on-hit effects.
Bounce hit range: 500
Use Double Up when a champion is low in health try to use Double Up on a minion(which is low) which is near the enemy so it could kill enemy which surprises you. In late game, you can one shot by using this technique.
W
STRUT
PASSIVE: After 5 seconds of not taking direct damage, Miss Fortune gains 25 movement speed, ramping up to 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 after 5 additional seconds.
ACTIVE: Miss Fortune instantly gains the maximum movement speed bonus as well as 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100% attack speed for 4 seconds. While Strut is on cooldown, applying Love Tap reduces its remaining cooldown by 2 seconds (scales down with cooldown reduction).
E
MAKE IT RAIN
Miss Fortune fires hundreds of bullets into the air which rain down at a location after 0.5 seconds, dealing 80 / 115 / 150 / 185 / 220 (+80% of ability power) magic damage over 2 seconds and slowing enemies hit by 40 / 45 / 50 / 55 / 60% for 0.25 seconds. This slow is refreshed if enemies stay within the area.
Use your E before you use R Bullet Time it gives advantage of making them to stay in your R as they will be slowed.
R
BULLET TIME
Miss Fortune channels a barrage of bullets into a cone in front of her every .25 seconds for a 3 second duration, dealing (+0.75 per attack damage) (+20% of ability power) physical damage per wave. She fires 12 / 14 / 16 waves in total and each wave will deal physical damage to all enemies caught in the area. Each wave of Bullet Time can critically strike, dealing 120% damage.
It does serious damage once you get fed. Try to use more in team fights with right position, if you find that position use your R immediately as it deals tons of damage

RUNES FOR ATTACK DAMAGE Back to Top
ONE SHOT

PRECISION
Press the Attack is strong in early game where Miss Fortune can deal massive damage along with her Double Up. Consecutively attacking them makes lower thier health faster, so she can use her double tap on a minion which is going to die that is near the enemy where she could one shot them in ease.
Triumph and Coup de Grace are pretty much mustpicks if you go Precision as your runepage. It provides you with more Gold for a kill which will make you snowball a little bit more than usual. On top of that it heals you whenever you kill an enemy, which will probably save your life in lane and in a teamfight later on.
Legend: Alacrity combined with your active part of your W Strut will give you a lot of attack speed which will help you to put out even more damage during fights or trades.
Coup de Grace and Triumph are pretty much mustpicks if you go Precision as your runepage. It just helps you to finish enemies off with your Ultimate.You deal 8% more damage to champions who have less than 40% health.

INSPIRATION
Early game farming is important for everyone in order to buy items quickly. Magical Footwear saves us the money to buy some other items instead of boots. You could buy a full item sooner to take out your opponent with more ease.
In early game. Miss Fortune has very low mana, as she keeps using her Double Up she is in ned of mana. This is where Biscuit Delivery is used. It is useful to keep your mana for 10 mins of the game. So you could farm efficiently.
Choose these on your requirement for that match.

LETHALITY

DOMINATION
Instead of Press the Attack, I take Dark Harvest for the poke potential. When you damage an enemy that's below 50%, it deals an extra 20 - 60 (based on level) (+ 5 per Soul)(+ 25% bonus AD)(+ 15% AP) adaptive damage, and you get one soul. The soul stacks, and gives you bonus damage.
Damaging an enemy with impaired movement speed or actions, it deals 10 - 45 extra damage. This goes well with Make it Rain since it slows enemies down if they're in the area.
Out of all of the options, Eyeball Collection is the one you want to take. For every takedown, you collect one eyeball. You can get up to 10. You gain an adaptive bonus of 0.6 Attack Damage or 1 ability power per eyeball collected. You can collect up to 12 attack damage and 20 ability power. After completing the collection, you are awarded a bonus of 6 attack damage or 10 ability power.
Your ultimate gains a 5% reductions on its cooldown, and you gain an additional 4% cooldown reduction per stack. You gain stacks from killing an enemy once. I take this because Bullet Time has a long cooldown. You can also take Ravenous Hunter since it heals you for 1.5% and 2.5% per stack of the damage you deal with your abilities.

PRECISION
When you get a stack, you gain 0.6% life steal. You get a max of 20 stacks. You obtain stacks from points. You need 20 points for 1 stack. 20 points for champion takedowns, 20 points for epic monster takedowns, 5 points for monster takedowns, and 1 for minion kills. You can also take Legend: Alacrity for attack speed. You gain 3% attack speed and an additional 1.5% for every stack you have. The points are the same for both.
When an enemy is below 40% health, you deal 8% more damage to them. This rune goes really well with Dark Harvest since you deal more damage to them if they're below 50% of their health.

ABILITY

SORCERY
We take the Sorcery tree because it gives the best options for MF to poke the enemy as much as possible during the laning phase.
Arcane Comet is a great rune for additional damage as hitting the enemy with Make it Rain will usually guarantee comet to hit (thanks to the slow), and decrease Arcane Comet's cooldown due to how its CD is refunded. Usually this means that whenver Make it Rain comes off of cooldown, Comet will be ready and is simply extra consistent damage. Overall, a good rune that compounds Miss Fortune's potent poking capabilities and long range. The other options, such as Summon Aery, do substantially less damage in comparison.
Make it Rain costs a lot of mana, especially early, meaning you will oftentimes run out of mana in lane. Thanks to Manaflow Band, you will gain permanent mana alongside mana regen, greatly helping your mana problems. Considering the fact you are trying to poke the enemy almost constantly, Manaflow Band is pretty much necessary to prevent you from running.
Absolute Focus is the best choice simply because you should pretty much never be below 70% health. It is basically free AP for your Make it Rain and Bullet Time. Transcendence isn't a bad choice in order to reach 40% CDR and Celerity is ok considering your already high additional MS.
Usually I take Gathering Storm over Scorch anyday since, in almost every game, the amount of damage Gathering Storm will be providing is vastly superior. That being said, Scorch is much better early during the laning phase as we attempt to make the enemy laners' lives as difficult as possible so, for a poke-focused Miss Fortune build, Scorch is superior.

DOMINATION
Cheap Shot is, in general, the best choice for most situations since it gives extra true damage each time you cast Make it Rain. Combined with Arcane Comet and Scorch, the amount of extra damage you do your targets is quite tilting.
The final choice is somewhat up in the air but Ultimate Hunter is usually the best choice due to how amazing Bullet Time is. Ultimate Hunter allows you to spam it like crazy later on.
Choose it based on your requirement, which depends on the enemy picks. Choose wisely.

Swifty Swift Booty Boots
We want this item for the Magic Penetration it provides, so that we deal extreme damage with our abilities.
Ech Ech Echo
Gains charges upon moving or casting. At 100 charges, the next spell hit expends all charges to deal 100 (+10% of ability power) bonus magic damage to up to 4 targets on hit. This applies spell effects (e.g., Spell Vamp, Rylai's, etc).
It also grants 10% cooldown reduction so that Miss Fortune can use her Bullet Time more efficiently.
Stop It!
Places your champion into Stasis for 2.5 seconds, rendering your champion invulnerable and untargetable but unable to take any actions. 120 second cooldown.
It grants 45 Armor along with active stopwatch. Its fun to use whenever you are low in health and use this quiet often because of its cooldown, which is useful to get killed often.
Speedy
I chose this item because it gives attack speed to her along with AP and its 20% cooldown reduction. This is highest amount of cooldown reduction you can get with items. With this item, You can use your Bullet Time even more often has it gives a more cooldown reduction.Basic attacks deal 15 (+15% of ability power) as bonus magic damage on hit.
Get Slowed
Your spell damage and summoned minions will slow the target's movement speed by 20% for 1 second which allows you to use your Make it Rain give deals a massive damage to them. And it also gives 300 health which makes you even stronger to sustain in team fights.
Wicked Witch's Pointy Hat
The Infinity Edge for casters. Need I say more?
Get Raged!
Basic attacks deal 15 bonus magic damage on-hit. Last Whisper: Grants 15% total armor penetration. Dissolve: Grants 15% total magic penetration. Basic attacks grant +8% Attack Speed for 5 seconds (stacks up to 6 times). While you have 6 stacks, gain Guinsoo's Rage. Guinsoo's Rage: Every third basic attack triggers on-hit effects an additional time. At half stacks, melee champions' next basic attack fully stacks Guinsoo's Rage.
Let It In!
Magic damage ignores 40% of the target's Magic Resistance (applies before Magic Penetration).Dont worry if your opponent builds magic resist, let this do your work.
All In One
Passive: Spellblade: After using an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus magic damage equal to 75% of your base AD + 50% of your Ability Power (1.5 Second Cooldown). This item along with your Strut gives you even more movement speed to catch as well as esacpe. This item helps you to achieve 40% cooldown reduction.
