Why Shaco? Pros and Cons
Now you might be thinking... Why Should I pick Shaco?
PROS:
-
- Very strong early game and fast lvl 3
- Low pick/ban rate
- Strong ganks
- Can solo dragon at lvl 6 with clone
- Versatile kit with AD and AP Scalings
- Slippery with R and Q
- Low skill floor, high skill ceiling
- Great for Solo Queue
- Scales inversely with the IQ of your enemy
- He does the worm
CONS:
-
- Feast or famine playstyle
- Weak to level 1 invade
- Falls off lategame
- Often can't 1v9
- Outscaled by most junglers
- Item reliant, can't play well from behind
Playstyle
Early Game
Shaco is very strong in the early - mid game. His primary strength early on lies in his ability to show up on the map where enemies least expect it. He also has one of the fastest level 1 clears in the game with his Jack In The Box, which is shown in the video below. His early ganks are also super deadly because of his passive slow and execute damage on Two-Shiv Poison.Level 1 Clear
After hitting level 3, your priorities for the early game should be the following:

- Gank
- Invade (Matchup Dependant)
- Full-Clear your jungle
- Provide vision
- Get your team ahead
Mid-Game
After laning phase, your primary focus should be to secure objectives for your team.
In mid-game your priorities should be:

- Secure Dragons
- Clear/Provide vision
- Assassinate squishies
- Track enemy jungler
- Farm
Late Game
Late Game is
Shaco's worst nightmare. At this point in the game you are very likely to be outscaled by the enemy jungler, and the enemy team should have most of their core items completed.In the late-game your priorities should be:

- Stay Alive
- Farm
- Group when your team is fighting
- Set up for objectives
- Look for picks with your team
