Jungle Route:
Hello there internet. This will be my pathetic attempt at a guide. I can only hope you down vote this to oblivion (reverse psychology ftw) and make me famous on the interwebs.
Start off with 5 little girls

With the amazing change to the jungle route, you will need 5 little girls

Next move on to the 3 big bad wolves. At this point you should have 1 point to

Now contiune to the 4 witches. Once again start off with your

Now move to the volcano lizard (cousin of volcano banana armor). Here you want to have your god of hand ready

Now at this point depending on if you bottom/top lane is pushed or being pushed decide to go for a gank or completing the jungle at golems. Before you prematurely pop your

If all is successful you should have killed both/at least one of their bottom laners (top if you start on the purple side).

BUY WARDS, DON'T QUESTION IT, IF YOU HAVE SPARE GOLD BUY THEM, BUY TWO, BUY THREE, GET WARDS
Runes

Greater Mark of Desolation (for your jungle, you will not be dealing much auto attack damage)

Start off with your 5 little girls
and 1 robe
. Once you finish your jungle route and get a successful gank (granted you get the kill; give it to your AD carry if you can) go back and buy
Boots +
Vampiric Scepter +
Long Sword (if you can't get all three go with
Vampiric Scepter). Now continue with your jungle/ganks and finish off
Wriggle's Lantern.
The next item after your Wriggles's will always be
Mercury's Treads. No substitutions. Don't be an idiot, DON'T DO IT.
The next item i love to buy is
Giant's Belt. Not only does it make you more beefy, but once again it will make your W do so much more damage. Get the giants belt and then finish off your
Rylai's Crystal Scepter (great for your
Sky Splitter/
Stormbringer).
Now depeding on how well the other team is doing (damage wise) either build a
Chain Vest or
Negatron Cloak. If they are doing equal damage i tend to get both chain/negatron before decding what to do with the two. Generally get either a
Force of Nature or
Sunfire Aegis depending on their damage output.
Force of Nature gives you that MR with health regen + movement speed/
Sunfire Aegis gives you the extra HP for your
Frenzy
proc as well as the great passive + armor.
SITUATIONAL ITEMS:
Theses are always tricky but good choices are:
Quicksilver Sash: Great item to counter CC towards
Volibear; such as
Ignite
Aegis of the Leigon: A great finisher if you're team needs that extra MR/Armor.
Banshee's Veil: If the team has a lot of CC, go ahead and buy one. It's always intimidating to see a giant bear with balls.
Guardian Angel: Not the best option, but it is an option. Makes you that much more intimidating/probably less focus on you (which is a bad thing, you are a tank after all). Whatever floats your boat.
Randuin's Omen: A good item if they have an AD carry that is just stomping you. That active comes in handy ^_^
Thornmail: I LOVE THIS ITEM SO MUCH. Great for teams mostly AD.
Frozen Heart: I prefer Randuin over this, however another option if you're not a fan of Randuin. The CDR/passive is nice (mana not that important).
Frozen Mallet: If you're not a fan of
Rylai's Crystal Scepter, this is an alternative. However, i prefer
Rylai's Crystal Scepter so i can have that bonus AOE slow with his
Sky Splitter as well as adding some damage to his
Stormbringer.
Warmog's Armor: Now there are a lot of guides i have seen that go ahead and use the Atmogs route. This by all means is still viable in this guide. Instead of building your
Wriggle's Lantern, go ahead and right off the bat purchase a
Warmog's Armor; team it up with
Atma's Impaler and BAM!
Atma's Impaler: If you think you're going to tank enough damage, go ahead and purchase an Atma's. This will further increase your damage due to the amount of health you already receive from
Sunfire Aegis and
Rylai's Crystal Scepter. If you decided to purchase a
Warmog's Armor to go along with your
Atma's Impaler; the combo of the two is great for any tanky DPS champion.
Shurelya's Reverie: Gives you more health (again great for your
Frenzy
to finish off an enemy)/CDR and the passive is a great initiator/escape mech. with your
Thundering Smash ^_^
Spirit Visage: Great for your passive and that's about it (i generally never get this as your passive heals you enough without it).

Chosen of the Storm

(Passive): When Volibear's health drops below 30% of his maximum health, he will heal for 30% of his maximum health over the next 6 seconds. This passive effect has a 120 second cool down.
Rolling Thunder

(Active): For the next 4 seconds, Volibear will gain 45% movement speed if he is moving towards a nearby visible enemy champion. Additionally, Volibear's next auto attack during this time will deal bonus physical damage and will fling the target behind him.
■Cost: 40 mana
■Range: 300
Frenzy

(Passive): Volibear temporarily gains bonus attack speed after an auto attack. This bonus stacks up to 3 times and lasts for 4 seconds.
(Active): While Volibear has 3 stacks of Frenzy, he can activate this ability to bite a target enemy. The stacks won't be consumed. The bite will deal physical damage that scales with his own bonus health. This damage will in turn be increased by 1% for every 1% of the target's missing health.
■Cost: 40 mana
■Range: 400
Majestic Roar

(Active): Volibear lets out a powerful roar that deals magic damage and slows nearby enemies for 3 seconds. Minions and monsters are feared for the duration as well.
■Range: 425
Thunder Claws

(Active) For the next 12 seconds, Volibear's auto attacks will blast his targets with lightning that will bounce to up to 3 nearby enemies. Each bolt of lighting will deal magic damage and will only hit each target once.
■Cost: 100 mana
■Bounce Range: 300
