HOWLING ABYSS AURA:

"The world is very different for those who cannot see beyond what is placed before their very eyes."

LeBlanc has a convenient kit to utilize Dark Harvest very nicely in ARAM. As you read on throughout this guide, I'll go in detail regarding this and her spells. In the simplest terms, she can simply jump to any soul essence on the ground and engage the enemy then disappear. Even before you do all of that, as champ select ends into load screen, you can wait to assess enemy team composition before deciding on AP or AD. Talk about versatility!

As far as Electrocute is concerned, we are in a game mode called ARAM and that means more deaths in a short amount of time. In other words, the Howling Abyss is a one lane killing field. Click the tabs below and you can decide for how you wanna go about choosing the keystone. The only reason I would choose this one is because I am not in the mood to implement the necessary playstyle that Dark Harvest requires of me... in other words, I'm being lazy about it. I played Leblanc 200 times in ARAM this year already.

After exiting stealth or using a dash, blink or teleport, dealing any damage to a champion grants you 7 Lethality and 6 Magic Penetration for 5 seconds. The damage that triggers this effect also benefits from it.

Cooldown: 4 seconds
Collect 2 Eyeballs from champion kills and 1 Eyeball from champion assists. Completing collection grants an adaptive bonus of 30 AP or 18 AD.
Nothing much to say about this other than this will stack rather quickly due to the nature of an ARAM game.

Your ultimate gets 5% CDR. Each unique champion takedown adds 2% more CDR. When fully stacked (10%), the cooldown of Mimic is reduced by 15%.
There are a couple things to keep in mind here. If including 40% with the 15%, it becomes 49%... And if you were to have Cosmic Insight included with that, the total cooldown then becomes 53.25%.

This rune gives 15% CDR to item actives. Add another 5% for each unique champion takedown. Once fully stacked, item actives receive 40% CDR.
While I choose to run Ultimate Hunter every chance I can, there comes a time when at champ select, we dont have the best of wave clear. So I will run this rune to use with Hextech Rocketbelt. It's cooldown will drop from 40s to 24s when fully stacked.

EVERYONE HAS A PLAN UNTIL THEY GET PUNCHED IN THE MOUTH.
 • My usual page most games
 • All Secondary Rune Options

PASSIVE ABILITY
When LeBlanc drops below 40% health, she becomes invisible for 1 second & creates a controllable Mirror Image of herself that deals no damage & lasts for up to 8 seconds.

By holding down ALT, you can no longer control yourself since all commands are for the clone instead. One more time, you cannot move or cast anything until you release ALT. This passive can be utilized to great effect and for one to use it well enough, you should always be aware and prepared as you go below 40% health. Use the invisibility to your advantage by either engaging the enemy or escaping them. I like to use this in an aggressive manner with Distortion and/or Mark/Dash & having Distortion (W) concealed in the bush without any of the enemies knowing I have a return pad. This means using W and then walk out of the bush... DO NOT use her W to dash out of it because the enemy will know what you just did. Now attack them, deliberately take damage to get yourself below 40% to trigger passive, clone appears, and while still stealthed, press W to return to pad inside bush. Make sure you do this after clone has made its appearance because if you return to quickly as clone is making its appearance, it will show up with you inside the bush. We want to leave it out in the open. Because they never see you return inside the bush due to the stealth, one LeBlanc appears before them, and surely they cant help but think that they must've killed the clone during the battle...

The benefits? A distraction. Draw enemy fire onto clone instead of teammates thus giving them breathing room for a moment. However, this little trick goes out the window against champs like Maokai with his Sapling Toss, so watch out for that. Other abilities like Noxious Trap can be dealt with by getting Oracle's Elixir. Bushwhack and other traps can ruin a moment also. Just know who the enemies are and what traps, if any, that they have.

In ARAM, it is not unusual to be low in health because of the Howling Abyss aura restricting outgoing heals and the that there is no recalling to replenish. Every 60 seconds you will have your passive up and ready to use again. Make note that after it cools down, if you are already under 40% health, any damage you take will trigger passive. Do you best to utilize this to bait out spells from enemy or to simply create a diversion to give your team some breathing room.

RANGE: 700
COST: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90
COOLDOWN: 6
DAMAGE: 55/80/105/130/155 (+40% AP)
LeBlanc projects an orb towards the target enemy, dealing magic damage and marking them for four seconds. The mark will be consumed once she damages the same target with any other ability, dealing the same amount of magic damage again.

This is her main spell, the one you will use most often & cast before any other spell so that the next ability hitting the same target will cause this to deal the same amount of damage once more. I prefer to max this 2nd after Distortion. As you read on, I provide the overall stats depending on how you rank Q & W from level 1-10.

In ARAM, you can find yourself quickly out of mana if you arent careful. Just don't waste any mana with this spell on minions, at all. If tempted to last hit the siege minion, that is up to you. I will but only because the soul essence it drops via Dark Harvest will automatically come to you for killing it. Be wary that you aren't the only one who is going to try and farm and using spells to do so only to get nothing back in return makes it a complete waste. All spells except Ethereal Chains (70 mana) and Mimic (no cost) have their mana cost increased as you rank them up.

RANGE: 600
COST: 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110
COOLDOWN: 14/13/12/11/10
DAMAGE: 85/125/165/205/245 (+60% AP)
LeBlanc dashes to the target location, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies upon arrival and leaving a return pad at the cast location for 4 seconds. You may recast this spell to blink back to the return pad at no additional cost.

DISCLAIMER: Wall of Text.
As you get better and better with LeBlanc, the easier it is on utilizing this spell for its various applications. However, it is to be applied with caution no matter how good you are because enemies who are aware of your return pad in effect may have the advantage of anticipation, may guess your next move correctly and/or to merely strike out preemptively with a good chance of success. Of all the ways to apply this spell, one thing I make an effort on before engaging is conceal myself when using it so that the enemy is not completely sure as to whether I have a safety net or not. An example is using it in the bush and walking out of it as opposed to dashing out as the enemies would obviously know and will keep in mind to potentially divert their abilities that way. If you understand the fog of war, that is also a big plus and can be used to your advantage. Get a friend, create a custom game, be on opposing sides, communicate your areas and discuss whether either of you have vision of one another and make note of it.

Distortion is used for...
 • positioning to get better aim using skillshots, preferably to land my Mark/Dash easier which in turn lets me land Ethereal Chains easier, all within a 4 second period. You have plenty of time to root an enemy before returning back to pad if your execution is good. The chains only need 1.5 seconds of your time.
 • escaping and juking.
 • clearing waves or to shove lane to increase the pressure.
 • with imminent 40% health to trigger passive, allows you to put distance between you and the clone during stealth, which can effectively divert attention away from teammates. Distortion and low health also helps teammates as your job here is to bait enemy into whiffing their abilities.
 • picking up soul essences you otherwise would ignore if you were using a different champion.
 • better mobility to intercept enemy skillshots, potentially saving a teammmate or two.
 • intercept tracking moves like Master Yi's Alpha Strike and then returning to the cast location, thus displacing Yi in the process. Her ability to draw these certain abilities and deliver them to your team or even under tower is one of my favorite things to pull off. See an enemy snowball? Let it hit you and wait to see if they're stupid.
 • last but not least, doing full screen combos. Her gap closing range is immense. She could possibly be no. 1 in terms of mobility. I couldn't say for sure. She's up there though.
As you read on, I will provide more information and videos showcasing combos and various interactions that makes her the most fun champion for me to play. Every game I play using her, I max this spell first to increase its damage and most of all, lower its cooldown as the timing with this, in my opinion, is of the utmost importance. DO NOT waste away this spell on minions until after you have 3 points or so on it because it would be weak and a waste until it gets stronger. But of course, if teammates did all the damage first and if you can swipe the farm for yourself, take it! And never lead with W before mimicking it if R is only rank 1. At rank 2, it does more damage and would be wise to then lead with W first.
 • Notes...
 • Q and W as you rank them starting with lvl 6, ending with lvl 10

RANGE: 865
COST: 70
COOLDOWN: 14/13/12.5/12/11
DAMAGE: 40/60/80/100/120 (+60% AP)
ROOT DAMAGE: 60/90/120/150/180 (+40% AP)
LeBlanc flings an illusory chain in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy it hits and tethering herself to them for 1.5 seconds.

If the target does not break the tether, they are rooted for 1.5 seconds and dealt additional magic damage.

A linear skillshot that will root enemies where they stand should you connect with it. This spell isnt the easiest to land but because we are in ARAM, it would be sweet to pull it off as your team will be there to capitalize. There are various applications for it and a couple ways to ensure you hit a moving target with it. I like to hold back a tank sometimes as I chase down his carries, use it to root an enemy down, or simply to escape without the need to use Distortion. It can also be your first choice when needing to consume a mark from Sigil of Malice as I would try and use before anything else.

Now the biggest issue is being able to hit a moving target with this. I'll give a couple examples and let your imagination do the rest. One is using Distortion to close the gap between you and target so that it is basically a pointblank hit. Say you manage to mark them with Sigil of Malice but then target flashes away, what to do? Simple, use Distortion to close the gap, then mark them with Mark/Dash, then dash to target, and once again, pointblank range. In this scenario, you have a return pad with about 2 seconds left on its timer which means you should get an auto attack off before you can no longer return to your pad because remember? Dark Harvest. Now if you are me here, I will also wait 1.5s after making the hit with the chains so that they are rooted in place. You may not be able to do much after it, but this is a great thing with any teammate having long range abilities.

RANGE: N/A
COST: No Cost
COOLDOWN: 60 / 45 / 30
LeBlanc casts a mimicked version of her most recently used basic ability, applying the same effects and dealing modified magic damage.
 • Mimic Sigil of Malice: Deals 70 / 140 / 210 (+40% of AP) magic damage and double damage upon triggering the mark.
 • Mimic Distortion: Deals 150 / 300 / 450 (+75% of AP) magic damage.
 • Mimic Ethereal Chains: Deals 70 / 140 / 210 (+40% of AP) magic damage and double damage upon rooting.

regarding abyssal mask, i prefer to buy this item as soon as possible, 1st item in other words. with that said, Distortion at rank 5 has a base dmg of 245:
W by itself (245 dmg @rank 5), x.15 = 36.75 ...=281.75 dmg (a value of 61 AP; 1,326g )
W with precision secondary selected, 14 AP. (14x.6=8.4) = 253.4x.15=38... = 291.4
+ with eyeball collection maxed included (30x.6=18)...18+8.4+245=271.4... (x .15)=40.7... = 312 (67.5 AP; 1,468G)
With Luden's considered... 90AP + 14 AP = 104(.6)= 62.4 + rank 5 W (245) = 307.4. (passive: 110.4)
+ with eyeball collection maxed included (30AP = 134AP) 30x.6=18... +307.4 = 325.4 dmg
