Hello.
My name is Peter and this is my first guide, like ever, so don't expect any crazy editting! This guide is going to be about Thresh, The Chain warden (No **** sherlock).
I have mained Thresh for a long time now, and i played him in many different ways, with many different builds.
There is a bunch of text in this guide so i divided into spoilers, so that you can read about the runes, masteries, items etc. that belong to the build you wanna know more about, so you don't have to scroll for years..
Please upvote this guide, if you find it helpful in anyway, and if you downvote, please tell me why, give me some constructive critiscm..
This guide contains Aggresive Support build, Aggresive tank support, and for last an ADC Build.
*Note* This build isn't done, i will continuely update it and add new chapters.

Thresh is a twisted reaper whose hungry chains ensnare the souls of the living. A moment's hesitation at the sight of his ghostly visage and there is no escape. He leaves in his wake hollow corpses, their souls ripped loose and trapped in the sickly green light of his lantern. The Chain Warden takes sadistic joy in tormenting his victims, both before and after their deaths. His grim task is never complete, and he stalks the land for ever more resolute spirits to unravel.
Thresh carves careful, deliberate paths through Valoran. He handpicks his targets individually, devoting his full attention to each soul in turn. He isolates and toys with them, gradually eroding their sanity with his twisted, maddening humor. Once Thresh takes an interest in a soul, he does not relent until he possesses it. He then Drags those he captures back to the Shadow Isles for an unimaginably dreadful fate. This is his only purpose.
Little is known about the Chain Warden's past, and many of the details live only in nursery rhymes and campfire tales. They tell of a sadistic jailer from centuries past who took great delight in torturing his wards. Patient and brutal, he used a variety of methods to break his victims' minds before their bodies succumbed to his grisly designs. Chains were the jailer's preferred instruments of terror. Their shrill scrape marked his dreadful approach and promised agony to those he visited. His dark reign went unchallenged until his prisoners escaped during a massive riot. They overwhelmed him, and without ceremony or remorse, hanged him from his own chains. Thus began the unlife of the horrible specter known as Thresh, or so the tales go.
Thresh now haunts the land, leaving an aftermath of horror and despair. However, there is a devious purpose behind his dark machinations, and the meager spirits of average men are insufficient. He seeks stronger souls. Only when he has broken the wills of Valoran's most resilient warriors will he finally have what he needs.
"There are few things as invigorating as taking a mind apart, piece by piece."

Pros+ Free armor with + Can safe allies really good with + He can easily secure first blood at bottom lane. + His basic attack harass is REALLY strong combined with passive and he is even ranged, can it get a any better? Not really! + One of the strongest, probably the strongest, support in the current meta. + He works well with many types of play styles, aggresive, defensive and so on, thanks to his amazing kit. + Strong through the whole game. + Really rewarding and fun to play. + Insane CC |
|
Cons- Can be squishy early game, since you have none stacks in - Hard to master. - Gets outplayed by many other supports before level 2 (Leona, Nunu, Nidalee..). - - - - Mana hungry. - Slow movement speed, if not going Aggresive support. |

Damnation: This is Thresh passive. Its a very special passive, not any other champion in the league have anything similar. What it does is that when a unit dies within the range of 1900 of Thresh, a soul is dropped, if Thresh walk into that soul or throw your
Death sentence: This is probably what Thresh is most known for, he throws his scythe, dealing 80/120/160/200/240 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to the first unit hit and dragging them towards him for 1.5 seconds, and when he reactivate this skill, he will leap to his enemy. If he hit an enemy the cooldown will be reduced by 3 seconds. This ability is insane, he can "stun" an enemy for 1.5 seconds, and afterwards he will leap himself to the enemy for total terror, its amazing, oh wait, im gonna cry.. :').. And we are back again. This spell can be used in many ways, aggresively you will leap to the enemy, defensively you will just "stun" your enemy to get away or to let your teammates escape.
Dark passage: Another special ability, this is what it does. Thresh throws out his lantern that shields nearby allies from damage for 60/90/120/150/180 (+40% of ability power) for 6 seconds. The first ally to click the lantern with be pulled to Thresh. Allies can only receive the shield once per cast. The lantern collects nearby souls while out. Great skill for saving teammates, the range is awesome and the shield is pretty good, there is just that one thing that you sometimes have ******ed teammates, that just won't click that freaking lantern, morons. It also gives vision.
Flay: What it does. The active Thresh sweeps his chain in a line, dealing 65/95/125/155/185 (+40% of ability power) magic damage to all enemies hit and pushing them in the direction of the swing. Enemies are then slowed by 20/25/30/35/40% for 1.5 seconds.Passive: Thresh deals bonus magic damage on each auto attack. The damage is equal to the number of souls he has collected plus 80/110/140/170/200% of attack damage, based on length of time since last attack. Great spell for harass and for insane combo's, this is why it is even more impotant to collect souls.

The box: This is Thresh ultimate. How does it work? Creates a prison of walls around Thresh, dealing 250/400/550 (+100% AP) magic damage and slows any champion that collides with a wall by 99% for 2 seconds.Once a champion collides with a wall, the wall is destroyed.
Any other walls struck by any other enemy champion deal half damage and slow for half the duration. A really strong ultimate for a support, especially if your going aggresive support, amazing scaling, big slow and great for focusing the carries.
Tips and Tricks
- If there is a big bunch of souls and it is to dangerous to get close to them, throw your
Dark Passage at them. - Be careful when using
Death Sentence, the cooldown is high, so you really wanna hit the enemy with them, also wait 1.5 seconds before pulling if you have the time, to make the enemy CC'd for a longer time. - Collect as many souls as possible.

How the twisted reaper makes his enemies cry.
Standard combo (1 target)
Try to use your

Standard combo for teamfights.
Hit as many allies with
Tips and tricks
- Use
Dark Passage as often as possible at as many allies as possible. - Focus carries always.
- Use
The Box at as many enemies as possible.

My choices for supporting are:
Flash:
Exhaust:Probably the summoner spell i use the most when supporting, it just gives that last time to finish of the enemies, it have so many great features, the enemies have lowered attack speed and so on, generally just a really great spell for Thresh, the CC god.
Barrier: I go with Other viable choices:

My choices for ADC is:
Flash:
Barrier: Another viable is:
Cleanse: Cleanse is also a really good spell for carries getting focused, but i would still prefer

"Ranked play? With Thresh? You must be kidding me"
Actually not, Thresh is one of theese supports that can carry, he can get his ADC so fed, and almost secure a kill every 2-3 minutes, if you doing it right, but remember, never go ranked with someone you haven't practiced before, get good with Thresh and dominate the botlane. Here are some of my stats, i know they aren't amazing, but they are alright, no h8.
