Let's talk about rengar and his kit and what are his functions

Passive:
INNATE: While in a bush or camouflaged, Rengar's basic attacks gain 600 bonus range and cause him to leap to enemies beyond his normal Melee role melee range. This bonus lasts for 0.5 seconds upon exiting brush or stealth. Leaping when on 0 Ferocity generates 1 Ferocity.

FEROCITY: Rengar generates 1 Ferocity whenever he casts a basic ability. Upon reaching 4 Ferocity his next basic ability is empowered, can be cast independently of its basic version's cooldown, incurs no cooldown of its own, grants Rengar 30% / 40% / 50% bonus movement speed for 1.5 seconds, and consumes all of his Ferocity. Reaching 4 Ferocity with Savagery Savagery or Bola Strike Bola Strike locks its empowered version for 0.1 seconds before and after casting it. All Ferocity is lost after being out-of-combat for 8 seconds.

Bonetooth Necklace Green
BONETOOTH NECKLACE: Enemy champion Damage rating takedown, within 1.5 seconds of being damaged by Rengar, grants him a Trophy, up to one per unique enemy champion and to a maximum of 5. An Head of Kha'zix additional one made available through the event The Hunt is On!. Trophies grant 1% - 36% (based on Bonetooth Necklace Green trophies) bonus AD as bonus attack damage.

Q:Savagery
ACTIVE: Rengar's next two basic attacks within 3 seconds gain 40% bonus attack speed, with the first also dealing bonus Attack damage physical damage.

EMPOWERED ACTIVE: Savagery's bonus physical damage is increased to 30 - 240 (based on level) (+ 40% AD) and applying it grants Rengar 50% - 101% (based on level) bonus attack speed for 5 seconds.

Savagery resets Rengar's basic attack timer.

W:Battle Roar EFFECT RADIUS: 450 COOLDOWN: 16 / 14.5 / 13 / 11.5 / 10
PASSIVE: Rengar stores 50% of the damage he's taken in the last 1.5 seconds as Grey Health (75% versus monsters).
ACTIVE: Rengar lets out a battle roar, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies and Heal power healing Rengar for his Grey Health.

MAGIC DAMAGE:
50 / 80 / 110 / 140 / 170 (+ 80% AP)
EMPOWERED ACTIVE: Battle Roar's base damage is modified to 50 - 220 (based on level) and additionally Cleanse cleanses.

E:Bola Strike TARGET RANGE: 1000 COOLDOWN: 10
ACTIVE: Rengar throws a bola in the target direction, dealing physical damage to the first enemy hit and Slow icon slowing them for 1.75 seconds.

PHYSICAL DAMAGE:
55 / 100 / 145 / 190 / 235 (+ 80% bonus AD)
SLOW:
30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90%
EMPOWERED ACTIVE: Bola Strike's base physical damage is increased to 50 - 305 (based on level) and using it Root icon roots its target for 1.75 seconds.

R:Thrill of the Hunt EFFECT RADIUS: 2500 / 3000 / 3500 COOLDOWN: 130 / 100 / 70
ACTIVE: Rengar channels his predatory instincts, becoming camouflaged after 2 seconds and gaining bonus movement speed for the duration. Attacking or casting most spells ends Thrill of the Hunt.

CAMOUFLAGE DURATION:
12 / 16 / 20
BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED:
40 / 50 / 60%
Rengar gains True Sight icon true sight of the nearest enemy champion, who he can leap to deal 50% AD bonus physical damage and reduce their armor for 4 seconds.

ARMOR REDUCTION:
12 / 18 / 24
The nearest enemy champion to Rengar alerts all allies within 1200 range about his presence.

Runes for Rengar for Optimal and Efficient Clears.



Fleet is the best keystone for rengar in this current patch the MS you get from this keystone is really good it gives you nice and faster clears than usual, also helps you securing scuttle crab faster.


A really good rune this helps you from ignite clutches and from Low Hp the bonus gold you get is pretty good too. Taking Overheal is bad since you don't heal that much and so does Presence of Mind because you have no mana (no tyler1 pun intended)

The bonus Attack speed is useful for rengar in terms of split-pushing and it helps you clear camps faster.

Oh boi oh boi, the bonus damage you get from injured enemies is huge af when you have this keystone enemies that have 50% Hp and below would surely explode from your burst


Since you take Fleet Footwork as the main keystone of this setup taking celerity will convert your MS to AD plus since every time you cast Ferocity Ability you also gain movement speed.

You gain bonus movement speed in the river so you could secure scuttle crab, drake , rift herald or baron nashor also helps you chase enemy in the river.

DOMINATION KEYSTONES




All of this Domination keystone are good for rengar all of them have pros and cons on rengar if you are comfortable with any of this keystone feel free to use it and most of these keystone are personal preference of your choice.

Works Good with your Jump and Thrill of the Hunt for the bonus lethality.

Gives you bonus AD when clearing out wards which is good for Rengar so i recommend buying some control wards and taking oracle alterelation

The bonus MS is good for roaming and getting on the certain point of the map as soon as possible or if you took Predator you can use Ingenious Hunter instead so you could reduce the CD of your Predator boots

i always take this summoner spell because it's really great it helps you escape tight situations

ofc you are a jungler you need this it helps you secure scuttle crab since it gives you vision at the river and the amount of gold and xp that it gives is really high making it the main priority in the early stages of jungling

works well if you run on secondary tree on runes and also works well if you run the amount of movement speed you'll get is pretty high making your presence on the map powerful but it trades of your flash potential and overall burst if you take

is a really strong jungler or toplaner he is a really good ELO booster meaning you can climb really well with him when starting a game rengar is really weak against champions like Warwick, Rammus, Rek'Sai and the other's and Rengar is really strong agianst Kayn Master Yi due to their weak early game

When playing in late game you should focus champions that deal the most damage on their team they are most ADC'S and MIDLANERS Rengar really favors on adc's that has no mobility like Jhin, Varus, Twitch, and Kog'Maw but their supports will probably pick shielding supports to protect them (obviously) and Rengar hates that so in lategame team fights you better kill these shielding supports when they are busy or solo like Janna and Lulu and don't hesitate to take objectives when you are fed like baron nashor drake and turrets because they are really important and rengar is a really fast pusher due to his high AD and bonus attackspeed from his EMP Q

But mostly when ahead as Rengar you should take every opportunity to end or close out the game as soon as possible since rengar can really be useless in late game when carries and tanks starts to bulk up and build for survival items like Guardian Angel or any tank items that provide high amount of health and armor that can decrease rengar's potential

Is a really strong jungler due to his fast Q thanks to his ability Savagery, Rengar can easily take the scuttle crab and can contest it without problems against enemy junglers
EARLY GAME

You're objectives when playing rengar is having a decent pathing efficiency and coordination with your team to setup kills and and finishing your BONETOOTH NECKLACE as soon as possible beacause Rengar can snowball harder than most champions in the game,and you also want to ensure your scuttle crab all the time and never forget to buy a Control Ward or place a wardinng trinket in the river bushes to have vision over scuttle and take it as soon as it spawns because scuttle crab provides large amount of EXPERIENCE and GOLD so missing this jungle monster as Rengar could lead you in disadvantages and could also delay your item powerspike
MID-GAME

This is the phase of the game where Rengar shines out the most especially when you are ahead of your enemies important targets will struggle farming to late game when you are ahead because they wont feel that safe if you are FED and their supports can't do nothing to protect them, since this is where Rengar is in his prime you should be forcing objectives and tower scores like drake , baron nashor to even contribute to your own team and win the game, as this game phase starts you should be finding and taking all advantages to close out and end the game as soon as possible as late game starts rengar's POWERSPIKE starts to fade and get overwhelmed by SUPPORTS and ADC'S
LATE GAME
This is Rengar powers starts to fade away and his pressure disappear especially when you are facing a team comp FULL of HEAVY CC and damage that's why closing out the game as soon as possible as rengar is ideal to avoid this problem by grabbing objectives and ending the game if ever this last phase of the game ever come to you don't panic and start planning a strategy on how to win the game, try to push waves if you have Ravenous Hydra if possible to lessen the pressure that you take from the enemy team and try to ward or deward using Oracle Lens in the river just in case that they are trying to take baron nashor or elder drake you can act quick and deny them the buff that can mostly end the game in worst case scenario since ADC'S that deal huge amount of damage like Kog'Maw, Kai'Sa, Draven and Tristana but never underestimate an ADC if they have their powerspike items and their utility supports nearby like Soraka, Nami, Lulu,and Janna since they can protect their adc's with their defensive abilities and items so i should suggest killing these type of supports first in a teamfight and if they caught you making a mistake they can retaliate with their slow and CC'S so i suggest buying a Quicksilver Sash and a Mortal Reminder to counter them

You wanna Know how to clear as Rengar?
always start at botside because you get the best leash from there
RED SIDE
take RED BUFF go straight to raptors > wolves > Blue Buff and lastly scuttle crabthen gank toplane or anylane

BlUE SIDE
Take blue buff and then wolves then straight to red buff and then scuttle crab then gank toplane or any lane

You can Also avoid raptors if you want a more safe clear on rengar and take this camp when you have Tiamat but make sure to ward it when not taking it so you don't get counter jungled and cooperate with your midlaner if the enemy jungler tries to counter jungle your raptors

Take gromp and after ganking then rotate to botlane
make sure to ward your topside jungle camp

This item is really important on rengar it helps you clear much faster than the other jungle item, you wont really need that mana regen from talisman and machete procs on your Q dealing significant damage against jungle monsters

This item helps you the struggle against junglers that deal huge damage the 20% damage reduction from that smited enemy ensures you an easy kill just incase you've confronted against them

This item is the very embodiment of rengar he is considerable the best user of this item since it tracks off trinkets and hidden control wards that can mess up your initiation when your about to ULT and the nightstalker passive of Duskblade of Draktharr procs on Q and it can destroy any squishy targets

This is just an additive to your movement speed, it gives nice damage and mobility on it's active making you a huge threat when having this

This item can help you shred tanks and armor stacking targets easier this also tops up on your ultimate armor shred plus the lethality items that you take the bonus health and CDR you get from this item is really helpful on rengar when you are wanting some more survival stats

you won't be needing Mobility Boots since you've already got movement speed from ghostblade and ultimate so there's no need for taking Mobility Boots but it's just preferences whenever you like Ninja Tabi or Mobility Boots

this increases rengar's burst damage and clearing potential the amount of AD you get from this item is GREAT and the lifesteal from it is also good making this a get to go item when snowballing

since the S tier supports are Nami and Soraka their heals can be a huge threat to your damage so buying this item can really shred through their heals

rengar is one of the best assassins that use stormrazor since the ATTACKSPEED SCALING wont bother since your Empowered Savagery gives bonus attackspeed Stormrazor + Duskblade of Draktharr

when this item got changed on patch 8.12 it became a good pickup on rengar from giving you base AD damage they've change it into bonus AD making it a great damage amplifier on rengar this item is useful on clutch moments or when you are about to die when this item procs get the bonus shield and damage to amplify your Savagery damage and kill them right away and surprise them with your burst

This are the items that i usually buy when i play rengar these items are enough to completely ERASE an adc off the map especially when they are not careful after if buy these items i just build situational items like Mercurial Scimitar or Guardian Angel and especially Sterak's Gage to counter other burst mage and assassin like Talon, Zed, Taliyah, Syndra, and Ryze

In This matchups there will be certain champions that rengar loves and hates to play against lets start from EASY TO HARD

- Kayn is really fragile in the early stages in the game and he is VERY vulenrable to counter ganks since his kit is very weak in early levels so he can't fight back i ALWAYS recommend to take a and counter gank his most taken camps like raptors and krugs or even wolfs

- she is not really a threat for you but for your team mates she is but when you encountered with her you can really kill her when you have red buff and you won't even worry about her burst because you can heal back 50% of the damage took from your just ward the river often and take the scuttle crab consistently so you can track her and alert your team mates from her ganks

- you and kha'zix goes even in terms of killing and assassinating important targets in the game but somehow his ganking power and follow ups is alot stronger than you but it's ok you can literally 100-0 kha'zix when you are fed, also counter gank his red buff or any of it when you know you can kill him just ward the bushes really often and buy control wards more than usual since kha'zix players evolves his level 6 and try to track down his clearing path

Rek'sai can literally shut you down in the entire game when you are not careful and also becomes tanky later in the game and i also recommend buying a as early as possible so you can counter her armor stacking and ward often and destroy her tunnels in the map to make her less effective

for me Warwick is far by the hardest matchup for rengar since all of his kit counters you really hard your burst gets countered by his E and can heal back the damage taken by his Q and R so be careful when fighting this guy and try to work with your teams to kill him i also recommed buying so you can prevent from getting chain CC'd by his R and E

- one of the junglers with the fastest clears
- one of the best assassins in the game
- good fighter
- Flexible build

CONS
- Weak scaling
- item dependant
- vulnerable to chain CC'S
- has no escape ability
- gets countered by armor stacking like Guardian Angel or Randuin's Omen
- Gets cucked by Exhaust

OFC most rengar guides does not even contain any combos on certain champions especially rengar so here are some combos that you can do

One-Shot Combo
This combo made rengar famous and notorious by his oneshot but how do you do it?, here's how you can

Before jumping or using use pre-jumping + in midair + and then cancel the animation by this combo instantly delete any squishy champions when they dare enough to get close to rengar

ANIMATION CANCELS
+ - this can instantly get you 2 stacks

Auto Attack + + - this combo leads you into 3 auto attacks since savagery and hydra can reset the AA


+ - can kill small weak monsters or caster minions easily also a good wave push combo

Don't always forget that your Q is an AA reset
