Sudden Impact is the one and only reason Teemo is so broken.

He can abuse it, nobody else can.

Early game damage is redic.

If you see me streaming why not stop by and say hello?

While I stream I usually accumulate around 200 or 300 viewrs but at every given time only 10 or 15 people bother actually logging in on my twitch Channel and it's usually always quiet it's also been causing people to call me a view botter which I most certainly do not do...

I stream everyday at 5 a.m. Pacific Standard Time, and usually again around 4 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.

I absolutely love stream for people helping them with their problems showing them how to get better even if I just play the game to have fun Ira not took it seriously doesn't mean my advice isn't worth giving.

Strong Items on Teemo (Pre-Season)

Frostfang Passive.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter Ability damage slows.

Right now these items in uni-make Teemo untouchable and able to provide their team with much needed support. In any lane.

Introduction & Confirmation.

I would just like to say this:

Please don't feel restricted, to just following my guide to the teeth.
It's a guide that gets you in the mindset of what is to be expected of you when you play.
It's a guide that gets you in the mindset of what to build.
It's a guide that gets you in the mindset of where to go, what to do.

Some people (mostly everyone) think MobaFire is garbage, compared to the "High-Elo" sites cause apparently our guides are useless and that we know nothing of the game, and they are better than everyone else.

It depends on how you look at it.
This guide is a very good Teemo guide, but what gets you out of Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum is YOUR ability to play, it is not based on a guide, so please keep this in mind.

Find your strengths and weaknesses and work on improving them as you continue to learn.
If you get tilted a lot because of your team, try queing up with friends.
(Unfortunate enough to not have friends? Don't worry I have none either)
Just find something that can calm you down. (Music, Discording etc)

Don't just exclaim how garbage your team is, that will only make you suffer in most cases keeping you in ELO hell.

To be honest, just TAKE A BREAK from the game instead of going 20 matches and 20 loses, calm yourself down before you start to play and if you have a losing streak of anger and win ONE game and feel great, take that break immediately to stay healthy mentally.

If you watch my streams you'd realize I am always joking around, always laughing, always having a good time even if I lose. Mostly because Teemo is my joy in this game.

All I want as a fellow Teemo main is for you to find what works for you.
Everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE plays Teemo in their own way, some people prefer AP an others AD, and then there are people like me, that like Hybrid.

The current meta with these new Runes and such are very strong for Teemo.
You can dominate TOP, SUPPORT but unfortunately JUNGLE (My favorite role) has fallen off from competitive play, at least for me.

Mostly due in part that the EXP is lower, the raptors and krugs are a time waster since you have no early game group clear speed.

I would highly recommend playing Teemo TOP or honestly, TEEMO Support.
Support is the best role if you love just harassing people denying all CS and forcing them to tower farm, I personally suck at laning so I choose support as my role this season.

It's been working wonders for me so far.

I am by no means some god-mode-teemo that goes 20/1/0 every game.
I play him mostly to troll an have fun, troll as in watch my team scream, or cause the enemy to quit the game.

Outside of that I don't see the point in playing besides streaming for fun.
I am however considering honing myself for a serious attempt at Plat-Diamond.

But eh... so much work for little reward :P

JUNGLING in Season 8

I am an forever will be a lover of Teemo Jungle.
Regardless of if it is still viable or good anymore, is not the issue for me.

The issue I am confronted with is the way to build him nowadays.

The original Season 6-7 Jungle build was often times...
Guinsoo's Rageblade & Blade of the Ruined King this made you un-killable in a 1v1 early and a monster into late game...

TEEMO is VERY heavily depended on ITEMS. Nothing in his kit is designed to help him besides his blind & shrooms in anyway on their own they are relatively useless. Building AP makes him strong but building a mixture of things gives you the best of both worlds.

On-Hit Effects are just that, they are Effects, meaning Teemo doesn't really need to have an On-hit effect in his kit like a MASTER YI because the damage applies to everyone and anyone that builds it especially if they are auto-based reliant champions.

This being said, I have ALWAYS hated playing AP Teemo.
However, this season I can see my favorite build ((Hybrid AD/AP/ON-HIT)) being very useful this season.

Guinsoo's Rageblade & Stalker's Blade - Bloodrazor would be your core items.
Blade of the Ruined King would be your spike in damage then your final items being whatever you need, MR, AR, Sustain etc.

This is just me theorizing the best build in my opinion.
I have always gone with On-Hit into MR and sustain an always had success in the past.

But this season you NEED faster monster clearing.
Runaan's Hurricane should in my opinion be rushed but you also need to build adaptive AP/AD and such it's so confusing and hard to pick one build without having to sacrifice it for more MR/AR/SUSTAIN as games play out.

You're going to be a late game champion regardless of what you play.

JUNGLING (Pathing)

As a support this was very interesting to see. I have not seen a single jungler smite their first camp clear in forever so doing this is very easy if you manage to sneak in after an invade or something.

On Hit Teemo's main objective USE to be to USE SHROOMS for ward coverage and control into the late game, but because of this new ADAPTIVE AP/AD building you can actually build into the two core on-hit items and the rest of your items TANKY HP AP items and deal roughly 400-500 AP into the late game while having the on-hit auto damage to control dragons and barons and tanks.

The fun part is there is literally no way to counter it at this point, no amount of armor or MR will save them because if they build both they will be less likely to deal damage leaving them as peels while you rush by to take out the ADC.

Following the changes to the jungle such as Gromp taking his sweet *** time, Krugs being a handful and Raptors being pesky it is time for a new path clear, I tend to follow this new strategy in my games now. Smite will now heal you on every camp, so use it when you feel the need to, also the rivers plants (exclusive to the river) are a good source of HP if you need it. I would also like to mention that smite heal will work on the SAME jungle creature more than once, so if you get ganked, you can HEAL but beware because now the enemy can ALSO heal off the same creature.
This is MY preferred Jungle route. I tend to have the tendency to help TOP lane more than anyone else unless they are fed, which is something I should change.

If you know for certain you are going to be INVADED, you need to rush level 3.
RED -> BLUE -> GROMP and gank really early the best way to utilize this would be ward your red bush and once you reach level 3, use the Jungle plant to fly over the river wall, giving you enough time to rush in behind them especially if they are extending.
Now, if you are like me, and play extremely aggressively if you're starting on BLUE team, you will have a higher advantage than the enemy RED team, the reason behind this is that, RED team's normally get a leash off their BOT laner because (2=Better than 1) because of this, I play to cripple their Jungler as much as possible while also giving good potential for a quick first blood. If you get spotted for whatever reason, the Jungle Plant is there to SAVE YOU! RUN!

This does not work for RED team side, as everyone starts RED BUFF on BLUE team.

Starting BLUE (Teemo downside *PASSIVE*)
You have to get a Leash BLUE -> Wolves -> Gromp -> Scuttle -> Gank -> RED -> GANK or Krugs -> Raptors then Back.

Starting RED (Teemo Friendly *AGGRESSIVE*)
You have to get a leash on RED as of this time, I tend to if the enemy is starting BLUE and has a slow Clear, head over to invade their RED following up with a TOP Gank -> Scuttle -> Wolves -> Gromp -> BLUE -> Scuttle -> GANK -> Raptors -> Krugs.

(This is just my playstyle, if you mess up and do not get FB you will severely be behind in CS)

GANK only when you know it is wise
Do not go in if your team mate pings while hes under there tower (obviously)
Unless they are being pushed right up under their towers, and you are nearby you want your first item by 7-8 minutes rather than any time later, so try and get a early kill but don't go overboard or you will be under-leveled and poor.

While clearing as a Teemo you have to understand he is a very squishy champ but if you practice you can mitigate all incoming damage from the first 2 jungles pulls from level 1-4 without using a single potion due to his kiting ability and Blinds to prevent Blue / Gromp / Red from damaging you while you run past them to continue the kite.

This normally gives you the upper hand against specific jungle champs that have no ability to mitigate the majority of the first few pulls, making you healthy enough to survive an invade if you happen to get invaded, and enough to kite them to death NEVER TANK CAMPS!

THIS is why you take AERY even after the "Nerf"
So with the changes to runes and masteries into a single set of runes there has been much debate on what is better for Teemo.

Summon Aery / Arcane Comet
Nullifying Orb / Manaflow Band / The Ultimate Hat
Sudden Impact / Taste of Blood
Scorch / Gathering Storm
Transcendence / Absolute Focus

Inspiration runes, etc

Let me just state this...

Everyone plays Teemo differently, nobody is going to always like you or your playstyles.
If you wanna run glacial Teemo because you like the lack of need for mallet, do it.

If you want future market, go for it. That is how you want to play so play it! :3

Summon Aery vs Arcane Comet

Aery, hands down just take Aery regardless of what you are playing as, TOP/SUP.
The harass is amazing and high. I don't care if they "Nerf" her, if you can get the double procs it's not nerfed. If they remove the ability to proc her twice in one poison rotation then by all means **** her and use comet or electrocute. Lol

I would only recommend playing Arcane Comet in the jungle as Teemo AP.
It works better due to the shrooms giving a slow as it is a very easily avoided proc without cc.

Manaflow Band is the better option out of these 3, it is absolutely amazing, you will never have to worry about mana if you actually pay attention and periodically hit them with a Q which restores 8% of your mana while negating the need to spend mana on that one Q every 30-40 seconds I believe it is.

The others are useless unless you know for a fact that you will be losing your lane to a hard hitting AP champion then go for Nullifying Orb

Absolute Focus always as a TOP laner.
Transcendence if you are playing Support or Jungle. It really makes a difference basically if you're gonna play AP grab this.

Scorch just take this, don't pick the others unless you know you will not have any poke in lane ((Pantheon for example)) then you could choose Gathering Storm

I refuse to take anything other than Domination with 2 of the following...

Sudden Impact if I know for a fact that I will have no problem in the bot lane poking them down without being hit too often.

Taste of Blood if I know I will have problems with lack of harass. It will keep you healthy and allow you to go in deep for those pokes.

Ravenous Hunter 15% Ability damage is a heal, respectively.

On-hit Items (Damage)

People are claiming that with the new update of 6.22, that items like these...
Duskblade of Draktharr Edge of Night have completely crippled Teemo to the point where it is pointless to play him, just please, play him and stop looking at LCS / High tier players who try an bestow their own knowledge or theory crafting to the lower elo. (Coming from a Mobafire guide, I know. Doesn't mean much)

Play him for fun, have fun, the skill comes from how he is played and by how skillful you are playing him, just because you have problems getting to Master/Challenger right now with him doesn't make him any less broken.

Stalker's Blade - Bloodrazor
Deals 4% of the Target's current health as bonus physical damage (On-Hit)
Blade of the Ruined King
Deals 8% of the Target's current health as bonus physical damage (On-Hit)
Wit's End
Steals 25 Magic Resist and deals 40 bonus magic damage (on hit)
Runaan's Hurricane
Deals 15 physical damage (On-Hit) and effects breech off to other targets.
Guinsoo's Rageblade
Basic attacks Deal an additional 15 magic damage on-hit.
Every 4th range attack makes all other on hit effects happen twice.

Let's assume you have an with a base HP at 2415.4 without any armor or MR/Armor we will deal.
+ 4% - 96.616 /PD
+ 8% - 193.232 /PD
+ 40 /MD
+ 15 /PD
+ 15 /MD

Grand total of: 304.848 Physical Damage
55 Magic Damage per hit.

This does not include shroom poison damage ticks, or E poison ticks nor the effects of Exhaust an more importantly it does NOT include the base 215 PD and 200 AP damage from basic attacks.

With the effects of Guinsoo's Rageblade on every fourth hit.

+ 8% = 193.232
+ 16% = 386.464
+ 80 /MD
+ 30 /PD
+ 30 /MD

Grand total of: 609.696 Physical Damage
110 Magic Damage per hit.

This does not include shroom poison damage ticks, or E poison ticks nor the effects of Exhaust an more importantly it does NOT include the base 215 PD and 200 AP damage from basic attacks.

This means that to kill Alistar you would have to hit him 7 times which in 2.50 attack speed is practically 4 hits.

She is by far the BEST to lane with, she has range, she has damage, she has poke, she has AOE damage, and a massive AOE Ult that hits like a truck if she gets fed.

That being said she is a ****ing pain to deal with on the enemy side...

A good lucian can get in some great pokes while maintaining lane CS, he doesn't really need a support to support him much again though it depends on what he is like.

Overall great

He is okay, I'd say he is great since he has a very very long range poke while he plays passively in your wave to help you with your harass.

His ULT is great to snare and burst their adc down!

Good range, good poke, good utility to get out of harms way.

He has range, he has a ranged ult, he has a snare, he has traps which give your bot lane 100% vision everywhere with your shrooms.

He hurts on his 4th shot, hes got aoe clear.
Overall really good ADC if they actually utilize their abilities.

I've fallen in love with her soul binding CC.
I'm more willing to sacrifice myself to a team fight if it means flinging my lil yordle boots straight into their faces.

No... just no... She has NOTHING but a short range and thumble late game she is super strong but for laning no.

Decent but better choices could be made.

Team Work & Ganking (Jungler)

Teemo has pretty much no CC, nothing to contribute to a team fight besides one blind and shrooms that can easily be negated or avoided, that being said if you play smart and have team mates with strong CC like the ones above then ganking will be a lot more easier for you as once Teemo is spotted he can get killed pretty quickly against his counters especially against a mid lane.

From my personal experience, with reviewing season 6.
I found that Teemo Jungle synergized very well with champions like...

You don't even need a CC, you just need the know how as to avoid being caught, and just be an overly positive team mate, and if your team is against you playing Teemo just hope they understand that Teemo Jungle is a thing and actually know what you're doing practice in BOT games before you even try to play norms, get the path and kiting down and make sure your team is diverse.

Teemo is a natural ADC counter especially against:

Teemo will counter any ADC with his blind and melt every tank with this build that is his kit.

You want to not avoid ganking mid lane if there is a one shot champion harassing your mid laner, it is very hard to come back when a mid lane Ahri is fed 20 kills off some block head, that doesn't know how to lane. Hexdrinker is great to mitigate most of the damage and not be killed immediately. Hopefully your mid laner does well as your team can not rely on you 24/7 to be camping every lane.

It's a very scary lane when it's fed.

Your targets are Bot an Top lane most of the times agains.
really anybody that is a Tank or is Squishy/ADC you will be good against including a large pool of junglers.

Guide Top

ENEMY Matchup (Support)

Whilst Teemo is considered a horrible (everything) there are certain matchups you just will never be able to take on without feeding / trading 1 for 1 or staying stuck under tower...

That being said the worst possible matchups to go up against are the main support champions.
supporting a
supporting a
supporting a
supporting a

supporting a

I say these matchups are hard as balls because your one perk is being invisible in the brush dealing massive damage both magically and mentally, they will always be wary of you in the bush even if you are never there giving your bot lane a perm-push. But with Thresh, Blitz they render you pretty much useless at full potential since the bush is your one strength. SONA renders your damage useless since she can both heal and hurt you as much as you hurt them. The downside you can not heal as much as she can.

However if you are paired up with any of the current ADCs like

and your ADC is good or decent or even amazing at following up your poking damage you will win every single lane. Unfortunately a lot of the time your ADC can't do anything but complain cause they like hitting champions that can't retaliate through a chain of CCs lol.

Guide Top

Champion Bans (Jungler)

They tend to like sitting in the lanes bush, hopping out constantly, the easiest way to combat this is to simply ward and shroom the bushes, and try to stay out of his leaping reach.

He has kind of died down since his season 6 and 7 high KDA. You can op out of banning him, as someone like Jarvan / pantheon are more cancerous and chosen way more often.

Do I need explain, hes not picked often but a good fiddlesticks will cause you a headache.

If I had to pit Lee Sin vs VI in terms of teemo, I would always prefer Lee over her every time, VI is cancerous, Lee Sin tends to drop off going into late game, where as Vi just keeps getting more and more annoying to deal with.

Even if you go into your full build of on-hit, with hextech, bork, guinsoo, he will just build the same, the only difference is, his stun will counter your blind, along with his Counter Strike ability making you too low to deal any significant damage to him, before he kills you.

If you can stay out of her range of her AOE you should be fine but her clear speed is just too much better than yours, making her get ahead rather quickly unless you get a early kill or counter jungle (which is highly not advised)

He is super hard, I would say he is impossible to lane against without ganks constantly.
Aery helps but, still you should always ban him.

Just like pantheon he is really friggen hard to deal with with his chain of cc and ult.
If he is played well there is pretty much nothing you can do to him.

It's like a drive by, but you don't see anything because you die so fast to his speed.
Fast clear aswell is annoying to deal with.

Guide Top

Shroom Coverage / Wards (TOP/SUPPORT) Laning

Pink = Ward
Blue = Support Shrooms
Green = Top Shrooms

This will help you stay safe, stay visual. If they clear them all as they come to you, wait a while then refresh them. Your main role is awareness, you have infinite wards, that last 5 minutes, get them deep and keep yourself and your ADC safe.

After all you are trying to control the map!

Guide Top

Example: Match Results Proof

There is no "I" in TEAM-O.

If you're good with Teemo you'll never lose lane.
Sometimes you have games you destroy lane while your team just feeds out of their ***.

Live and move on, they will stay Silver you will keep climbing.

Just keep in mind, you're only as good as your team mates allow you to be.
In this case, the team was completely garbage dying to a bot lane fed 5 kills, while you were safe and not dying for the first 10 minutes.

Utilize Teemos Passive!

Most people tend to forget to utilize Teemos passive, be it in combat to outplay someone like a ZED or Nocturn when you hear him ult and such, it will save your life and give you a bonus in Attack Speed.(Damn that Soraka was on point)

Pros / Cons

Situational Items

Nashor's Tooth This is a very good item if you are building AP and so happen to for whatever reason want to build Guinsoo, you could also take it for on-hit jungle build but for the most part you can not squeeze it in for AR/MR/HP since the 3 main core items of on-hit help scale AP high into late game.

Please check my PURE SATAN (On-Hit Hybrid) guide page if you truly would like to utilize Nashors in the Jungle.

Abyssal Mask is an absolute amazing item, it is a shame the AP was removed from the item, but regardless it gives you absolutely everything.. HP, MANA regen, MR, CDR.
An overal great item to build into as a support or late game AP carry.

Runaan's Hurricane this is completely up to you, you can opt to get this as your second item followed by boots and Guinsoo but it is also acceptable to choose it as a last time or mid item the clears are fast and the damage is relatively the same if you took Guinsoo but I prefer Guinsoo

Maw of Malmortius
If you need more MR protection from getting one shot (LeBlanc, Rumble, Annie) the recent change (6.22) which removed 10% Armor pen and replaced it with 10% cooldown is pretty depressing but it will still keep you alive, shame the damage will suffer a few hundred damage.

The Bloodthirster
If there is no CC or you are not the prime focus in a team fight or are FED grab this to be more efficient at staying alive to melt their TANKS / ADC.

Hextech Gunblade
If there is no CC or you are not the prime focus in a team fight or are FED grab this to be more efficient at staying alive to melt their TANKS / ADC.

Frozen Mallet
If you need to stop people from running off (Riven, Udyr, Lulu) but I would highly reccomend rylai's since it is better suited since his auto is very short range.

Liandry's Torment
If you're getting invaded a lot and need your shrooms to harass them out of your jungle.
You can sell it later if needed otherwise you can just go Enchantment: Runic Echoes

Zhonya's Hourglass if you are the prime focus of everyones ULT (Zed, Fizz, Ziggs, Naut etc)

Guardian Angel to give yourself a fighting chance if your Zhonya's doesn't work out too well and you get shut down constantly.

Dead Man's Plate If you're in trouble and can not outrun people or chase them down, and the team has significant AD grab Dead Man's as it will help with getting around quickly, it synergizes well with swiftness and cloud drakes.

Quicksilver Sash a very, very useful item, it works well with this kit, you can take it in placement of Hextech Gunblade and it helps if you're being shut down and focused by everyone's ult like Fizz, everyones CC like Naut, Morganna, Thresh. You get the idea it removes all debuffs. if you upgrade it to Mercurial Scimitar

Mortal Reminder after getting BLOODRAZOR, BOTRK, GUINSO, if they happen to have a Soraka or Sona and your ADC is brain dead on not building it you can option yourself to be the team anti-heal support, since you're most likely going to take hurricane in the end of your build it will work well. It's also good for high AR tanks.

Spirit Visage will help you survive AP champions and also scale well with your life steal, and regen by 25%

Banshee's Veil Will go even further to keeping you extremely healthy against AP champions like Morgana with her snare and other champions. Don't be afraid to go full MR and drop Guinso / BOTRK you only need one of them to really do massive damage.

The downside and upside to this item now after patch 7.9 is it no longer gives you HP but helps you with giving more hybrid damage due to AP.

Alright so many people ask on occassion...

"What is the best Teemo skin to use?"

There are many factors to be taken into account let me briefly explain.

Certain skins animations are extremely smooth where as some skins are clunky and has a sense of delay if you play multiple skins for a long time you will notice this one good example would be...

OMEGA SQUAD TEEMO: Out of all the skins I played this one the most and this was the most clunky out of them all in my opinion I was canceling a lot of my auto attacks on a regular basis possibly because I always misjudged the animation but even then it did feel clunky...

LITTLE DEVIL TEEMO: My personal fav Teemo skin by far not because of the skin it self but merely because of the animation and how smooth it is, to the point where you never cancel autos, again this is all down to personal preference you can play any Teemo skin and be great at it, but if you have trouble with canceling auto attacks it comes down to skins and your experience with the animations if this makes sense.

COTTONTAIL TEEMO: If you want to be a little global taunting piece of trash, works every time.
