☀ I · TRINKET & OPENING VISION ☀
| ||||||||||||||||||||
Your first ward should answer a question, not satisfy a habit. The important word is timing. A ward placed too early can expire before the enemy jungler is actually capable of reaching top. A ward placed after you have already pushed several waves without information may simply be too late. In the current 2026 jungle, the first major camps spawn at approximately 0:55, while
| ||||||||||||||||||||
☀ II · WAVE FUNDAMENTALS: FREEZE, SLOW PUSH, CRASH ☀
| ||||||||||||||||||||
Wave management is the foundation of top lane. Before you decide whether to trade, ward, recall, rotate or fight, determine what the wave is doing.
THE NASUS QUESTION
Can I farm this wave? is only the first question.
→ What wave state do I want next?
→ Where can the enemy jungler be when it arrives?
→ What objective or reset is approaching?
→ Is another stack worth sacrificing tempo for?
Every wave should have a purpose.
☀ III · TRADING & ALL-IN WINDOWS ☀
| ||||||||||||||||||||
Before level 6, the primary question is not "Can I kill him?" but "How much am I risking to gain this trade?"
The second sequence should only be used when you have decided that the fight is worth committing to.
THE THREE CONDITIONS FOR A GOOD ALL-IN
A trade that wins 40% of the enemy's health but leaves you at 20% while the enemy jungler is approaching is not automatically a winning trade. A trade that forces
⚔ IV · JUNGLE TRACKING & GANK TIMING ⚔
| ||||||||||||||||||||
STOP ASKING "WHERE IS THE JUNGLER?"
Start asking "What route would put the jungler here?"
You do not need perfect information about the enemy jungler. You need a realistic estimate of where they can be. The current 2026 jungle starts with the major camps at approximately 0:55, This means you should think in windows, not exact timestamps.
COMMON FIRST-CLEAR IDEAS FULL CLEAR TOWARD TOP → The jungler clears camps from the opposite side toward top. Their first realistic top pressure arrives after enough camps have been completed, so the exact timing depends heavily on champion and clear speed. 3-CAMP GANK → The jungler intentionally skips camps to create earlier pressure. If the enemy top laner suddenly becomes aggressive before a normal clear could reach the lane, consider this possibility. SCUTTLE ROUTE → A jungler may prioritize reaching CROSS-MAP RESPONSE → If the enemy jungler shows bot-side, that information can justify more aggressive top positioning — but only until their next route becomes plausible.
| ||||||||||||||||||||
☀ V · VISION PLACEMENT & INFORMATION CONTROL ☀
| ||||||||||||||||||||
A ward is only valuable if the information arrives before the decision it is meant to protect. If you are pushing, your vision should cover the route the enemy must use to reach you. If you are freezing, your vision should protect the approaches that can break your freeze or enable a dive. If you are preparing for an objective, your vision should cover the route between the objective and your lane rather than blindly placing wards in the same two bushes every game.

VOID GRUBS · 8:00 The current Standard Summoner's Rift Grub system has a single encounter at 8:00 containing three Void Grubs. They do not respawn. For Prepare several waves in advance rather than reacting at 7:59. RIFT HERALD · 15:00 The ideal sequence is:
Prepare Wave → Crash → Vision → Move First → Secure Herald → Convert Into Structure
Do not wait until DRAGON You can contribute by: → Holding top priority so the enemy top laner cannot rotate first. → Crashing and using → Trading Dragon for top-side structures or resources. → Remaining in the side lane when your pressure forces the enemy to answer. Do not automatically BARON NASHOR · 20:00 At this stage, If your side-lane pressure forces two enemies to answer you, your team may have a numbers advantage around Baron. If your team desperately needs your frontline presence, continuing to hit a side-lane tower while your four teammates are trapped in a 4v5 may be the wrong trade. Baron is not automatically more valuable than your split. It is the threat of Baron that often makes the split work.
☀ X · SPLIT-PUSHING AS NASUS ☀
| ||||||||||||||||||||
But splitting is not "go to a side lane and never leave."
When one enemy appears, evaluate whether you can beat them. When two enemies appear, evaluate whether your team can exploit the numbers advantage elsewhere. When three or more enemies appear, your split has already achieved something — now determine whether you should retreat, continue for a high-value structure, or The most dangerous mistake is hovering between aggression and retreat. If you retreat too early, you give the enemy no reason to respect your pressure. If you stay too long without vision, you donate the shutdown your entire split was designed to create.

THE 30-SECOND MAP CHECK
THE NASUS MACRO RULE
THREE CROSS-MAP RULES
IF THE ENEMY SHOWS BOT → You have temporary information that the top side is safer. Use that window to push, ward deeper or take resources — but expect the enemy jungler to eventually return. IF THE ENEMY SHOWS TOP → Stop thinking only about survival. Ask whether your team can gain something on the opposite side while the jungler is committed to you. IF TWO ENEMIES ANSWER YOUR SIDE LANE → Your team should gain something elsewhere. If they gain nothing, your split is not creating enough pressure to justify the risk.

THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not waste WIN CONDITION Survive her early kill windows, deny clean passive trades, and force her to spend mobility on farming rather than engaging. Your sustained side-lane pressure becomes increasingly difficult for her to answer alone.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase her through repeated dashes. WIN CONDITION Make the lane about wave states rather than constant dueling. Once her mobility cooldowns are down, your sustained damage and superior side-lane scaling become much more reliable.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not walk predictably through her WIN CONDITION Use sustain and patience to reach your item spikes. If she leaves lane, punish her wave rather than following blindly; her lack of traditional side-lane durability becomes more important as the game progresses.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not waste WIN CONDITION Survive the early short-trade pattern and make her spend mobility defensively. Your advantage comes from forcing longer fights after her escape tools are unavailable.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not walk directly at her through an open lane. Use wave terrain, brush and WIN CONDITION Reach durable item spikes without losing the lane completely. If she mispositions or wastes

THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight him at five passive stacks. WIN CONDITION Keep trades short, manipulate the wave toward your side, and punish missed
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect his passive when using crowd control, and do not waste WIN CONDITION Farm aggressively without giving away unnecessary health. Once you can survive his all-in, use your superior Q scaling to force him into increasingly unfavorable side-lane assignments.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not automatically cast WIN CONDITION Make the lane about wave states and cooldowns, not ego duels. If she cannot freely proc vitals, her ability to bully you decreases sharply. Later, force her to answer your side lane rather than giving her repeated isolated fights on her terms.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Track his barrel chains and attack the moment his barrel threat disappears. Do not waste WIN CONDITION Pressure his barrel setup without eating free poke. Once you become durable enough to survive his burst, repeatedly force him to defend the side lane and make his global ultimate answer your team's cross-map pressure.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase him while WIN CONDITION Force Garen to spend his cooldowns on farming and movement. Once your sustained damage exceeds his ability to disengage and regenerate, the side lane becomes heavily favorable.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Track his Rage bar before committing. WIN CONDITION Farm through his ranged windows and punish him during the transition between forms. Your side-lane pressure becomes much more threatening once you can survive his Mega engage.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Punish him when WIN CONDITION Outscale his side-lane pressure while forcing him to spend mana defending waves. In teamfights, wait for his displacement tools before committing
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight her when her Q is fully prepared unless you have a clear advantage. WIN CONDITION Make her spend her mobility to reach you. Once she cannot freely reset spacing, Nasus's durability and sustained Q damage become much more threatening.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not blindly walk into his turret cluster. Use WIN CONDITION Your goal is to survive the push and eventually make his defensive setup irrelevant through side-lane scaling. When his turrets are down or badly positioned, that is your window to advance.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Prioritize dodging WIN CONDITION Pressure the side lane when her tentacle coverage is poor. Make her repeatedly choose between defending structures and creating a perfect arena for
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Keep the wave healthy enough that she cannot create an endless Q chain. WIN CONDITION Deny her a perfect minion battlefield. Once the wave becomes less useful to her, your durability and Q damage give you a much more reliable extended-fight advantage.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not waste WIN CONDITION Contest his scaling rather than surrendering the lane. Build enough durability to survive his burst, then force him to answer your superior wave pressure and structure damage.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Use minions and brush to reduce his free ranged angles. WIN CONDITION Preserve health through the first stages and punish overextension. Once Jayce cannot safely maintain maximum range, your durability and sustain become increasingly difficult for him to overcome.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase him through terrain. Save WIN CONDITION Force him to spend mobility defending waves. Nasus generally prefers the side lane against K'Sante because his value is often greater in team-oriented fights than in prolonged isolated farming contests.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not give her free experience and waves simply because she is weak early. WIN CONDITION Punish her weak early window aggressively enough to delay her scaling, but do not throw the lane attempting to solo-kill her. Your side-lane pressure should force her to respond before she reaches her strongest form.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Watch his passive marks before committing. WIN CONDITION Survive the ranged phase and make his side-lane waveclear work against him. If he is forced to remain in lane to answer Nasus, his team loses access to his strongest grouping patterns.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase the dismounted Kled without tracking his Courage. WIN CONDITION Keep the wave on your side and force him to overextend. Once his engage windows are exhausted, his ability to escape your sustained damage becomes much weaker.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect WIN CONDITION Farm aggressively and punish his low threat when
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Clear his Voidlings and avoid wasting WIN CONDITION Force him to use mana and abilities on the wave. Once his defensive passive and ultimate are unavailable, his ability to stop a Nasus side lane becomes much lower.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight him unnecessarily before your major defensive spike. WIN CONDITION Make his ultimate a cooldown you can plan around. When
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE The mirror matchup is decided less by champion identity and more by wave control, stacking efficiency, itemization and discipline. The Nasus who gets greedy for stacks and loses health or tempo can fall behind despite having an identical kit. KEY INTERACTION Track WIN CONDITION Win the wave before trying to win the champion. Superior recall timing, better stacking discipline and smarter objective rotations are more valuable than gambling on a mechanical outplay.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not assume WIN CONDITION Survive the early lane through wave control. Once Olaf cannot maintain continuous contact, his threat falls dramatically and Nasus's scaling becomes much more reliable.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect WIN CONDITION Farm efficiently and force Ornn to answer your side lane. If he groups, convert the map state into structures and waves rather than following him into every teamfight.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not dump damage into WIN CONDITION Survive the first levels and punish his cooldowns. Every failed all-in reduces his ability to keep you away from the wave, and your scaling eventually overwhelms his short trading pattern.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect the wall stun and WIN CONDITION Keep farming and force her to remain in the side lane. Her defensive value is much higher in grouped fights than in an isolated Nasus duel.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Use wave position and brush to reduce her firing angles. WIN CONDITION Minimize health loss, maintain XP and make her roam expensive by pushing waves into structures. If she leaves, punish the map rather than following her blindly.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Track his Fury. High-Fury Renekton deserves far more respect than an empty Fury bar. Use WIN CONDITION Survive his early dominance and punish poor Fury management. Once his dash pattern cannot force you out of the wave, Nasus's scaling becomes much more difficult for him to contain.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase her through repeated WIN CONDITION Make her spend mobility on farming and wave control. The longer the game continues, the more difficult it becomes for her to repeatedly burst a durable Nasus without perfect execution.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Avoid extended fights inside WIN CONDITION Farm around his cooldowns and Heat. Once his early lane pressure becomes less decisive, force him to choose between matching your side lane and grouping with his team.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase through a full spell rotation. WIN CONDITION Use wave timing rather than raw speed to access him. If Ryze roams, punish his tower and stacked waves instead of automatically following a champion who naturally excels at map movement.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Never stand in the center of his WIN CONDITION Force him to spend
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Punish his absence immediately. If WIN CONDITION Keep him tied to the lane. Nasus can create enormous value by forcing Shen to choose between protecting teammates and preventing the side lane from collapsing.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not chase Singed into poison simply because he is nearby. Use WIN CONDITION Prioritize the wave and structures. Singed wants you emotionally invested in chasing him; Nasus wins by making his roaming and proxying produce less value than your controlled side-lane pressure.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not stand inside a fully charged WIN CONDITION Turn his low mobility into side-lane pressure. Force him to spend his huge waveclear tools on defense while you steadily convert Q stacks into structure damage.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight inside his ultimate without a clear reason. WIN CONDITION Avoid feeding his passive stacks and maintain wave access. Force him to choose between sustaining in the side lane and moving with his team.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect his stun threshold and WIN CONDITION Farm safely and force him to remain in lane. His lack of reliable long-range access makes your side-lane pressure increasingly difficult for him to contain.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not walk into blind without understanding your damage window. Use WIN CONDITION Preserve health and remove his vision advantage before attempting extended fights. Sweeping mushrooms and controlling the side-lane entrances can be more important than another 20 Q stacks.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight him purely as an auto-attack contest. WIN CONDITION Force Trundle to use his dueling tools on the wave. Fight around his cooldowns and avoid giving him a clean isolated all-in when
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Track his Fury and ultimate cooldown. WIN CONDITION Force him to choose between farming and threatening your tower. Do not waste your entire ultimate trying to kill him during
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Identify his empowered stance before committing. WIN CONDITION Make his stance cycling inefficient by controlling the wave. Nasus wins the matchup by forcing Udyr to spend mobility and durability on defense rather than freely entering and leaving fights.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not walk predictably around his legs. WIN CONDITION Fight around his passive legs and E cooldown. Once his burst pattern has been spent, his ability to kite a durable Nasus falls sharply.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Approach through wave cover and punish his lack of mobility. WIN CONDITION Do not try to win the lane through repeated ranged exchanges. Preserve health, reach your durability spike and force him into a side-lane fight where his lack of mobility matters.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not walk directly through open space. WIN CONDITION Survive and force her into a side lane. She is strongest when constantly kiting a target with no terrain constraints; she is far less comfortable when forced to defend structures against a durable Nasus alone.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not waste WIN CONDITION Keep his early scaling honest. A passive lane that gives both champions perfect farm often favors the map impact of a later Vladimir, so create controlled pressure without overcommitting.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Respect his second WIN CONDITION Keep the wave close and force him to overextend. Once his initial movement burst is exhausted, Nasus's sustained damage becomes much more reliable.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not assume you win because Warwick is low. His passive healing can reverse a fight instantly. WIN CONDITION Keep your health high and force controlled trades. Once you can survive his burst and sustain pattern, your scaling and structure pressure become much harder for him to answer.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not waste WIN CONDITION Punish his mobility cooldowns and keep the wave controlled. Nasus generally becomes stronger once Wukong cannot freely reset every trade.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not place WIN CONDITION Control the minion battlefield. If Yasuo cannot freely dash through the wave, his ability to dictate the fight drops sharply.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Track his WIN CONDITION Make his repeated short trades cost more than they gain. Once he cannot safely reset every engagement, Nasus's extended-fight advantage becomes much more meaningful.
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Do not fight through a full ghoul setup. Kill or avoid the summons, then use WIN CONDITION Treat this as a structure race with combat attached. Keep track of
| |||||||
THREAT PROFILE KEY INTERACTION Avoid giving him uninterrupted extended trades before your defensive items are online. WIN CONDITION Control the wave, track his cooldowns and force him to approach through unfavorable terrain. Nasus becomes increasingly difficult to dislodge once he can survive Zaahen's first engagement and continue fighting afterward.

The path is long, but every game is another opportunity to sharpen your wave management, matchup judgment, jungle tracking, split-push timing, objective awareness, and decision-making.
