Greetings summoners and welcome!

I'm Meridianprime, level 30 and playing on the EU servers. After playing a few introduction matches as Ashe, a champion rotation forced me to pick another champion. I simply picked one from the new selection that I also saw during a practice match with bots. Sivir was my choice due to her similarity as ranged, easy to play champion. Later on I discovered there is actually a HUGE difference between Ashe and Sivir concerning viability. Since I love a challenge in games, I kept playing her, making the best out of an unloved, unwanted, overlooked champion.

Here I am, making this guide for other players that like to try out and learn more about Sivir. My efforts of making her be loved again, understood and NOT to be underestimated!!
So... what have I done to create this guide?

Pros / Cons

Now that you know something about me and the guide in general. Lets view in on the champion Sivir itself. What is her power and her weakness.

Some champions are good in taking damage ( Amumu, Alistar, Rammus), others can jungle better ( Warwick, Shaco) or excel in ganking ( Nocturne). Some can support another by healing ( Taric), shielding ( Kayle), buffing ( Sona) or stunning the opponents like ( Leona).
The ability to auto attack 6 targets, shield a hostile ability, enhancing every allied unit nearby. Sivir can PUSH like no other. All those goodies have their downfall...

Avoid her CONS and exploit her PROS and you shall have joy playing her.

Masteries

The tiny pieces of a puzzle that makes a difference. As an AD carry, Sivir runs good on the following 21/9/0 set up.

+ Boosting up her offences on her auto attack in many ways possible to deal a counting blow!
+ Giving her the extra defense and HP for when she faces other AD carries.

+3 AD : You are an AD carry, every AD is very much wanted to fulfill your role.

+4% AS : More attack speed means better use of Sivir's passive, plus it speeds up her attack animation.

+12 AD at level 18 : More AD each level, good to increase that dmg per hit before any mayor items are purchased.

+8% ArPen : Her attacks ignores 10% of the enemies armor, thus more damage per hit. Specially when things gets tanky.

+5% CrD : Not that you going to crit that often, but those critical hits will damage 5% more. For harassing hits will sometimes be painful and force them to go back to base.

Attack speed on crit is very nice, specially mid / late game.

On rank 3 its 2% more dmg. Every bit helps.

+6 ArPen : Ignoring armor and deal more damage. Works well early on when armor isn't a big role yet. This also means minions dying faster making last hitting less of a pain.

Runes

There are many runes out there. Some are good for tanks, others for junglers, some for late game and others early game. Sivir is definitely a late game champion. Boosting up this late game will of course make her insanely strong.
BUT!
You have to make sure you farm and survive your early and mid game or there is nothing shiny about her extreme aligned late game runes! Therefore we pick the following runes to make Sivir overall excellent!

A few notes to clarify the above table.

As you see this spell is very well of use for defenders and farmer / backdooring purposes. As a defender you don't want to be long gone from your lane OR in later phases you like to use a quick teleport to another lane. Very well recommended by Beginner / Mediocre players with Defending / farming play style. For backdooring its an absolute must. Read later in my guide on how to succesfully backdoor.

I have seen many AD carries out there using this new spell Barrier. It allows players to add an extra method of aggression as well as a last resort of survival. Diving a turret can be painfull. Making the final blow and run away alive can be done easy with this spell or vice versa.

A spell to be used for beginners and support / aura Sivir players only! Mastering her Spell Shield may require a lot of time and practice as well as skill timing / knowing your enemies. Hence using Clarity is also good for Mediocre players that are good controlling her and the game, just not mastering her Spell Shield. A Sivir without mana is like a tank without armor.

This is purely meant to kill, shutting down enemies while you attack their teammates. Thought also good for defending and escape this has the intention to KILL. Rarely is this spell used to run away from a fight. So Exhaust should come with skilled aggression or you will find placing this spell on others not have an effective outcome.

Though not my favorite spell for a long time, this has proven me wrong. As soon as you know the map, range and tactical points of using it, Flash will definitely be a must to have. Not taking this will make Sivir be marked by any gank and jungler over and over again. NOT recommended for beginners due to its versatile use and purposes.

Like Flash very viable for those edging moments of a kill / gank or run for survival. Using this with her ultimate makes no one tell Sivir where to go. She let them eat dust if they are fast enough before the dust hits the floor again. Also for mobility reasons, either run to a tower and take it down or getting back to assist a team fight.

After its remake, Heal is a very standard summoner spell for most AD carries. Still based on game style, its good for defending players rather than offensive players. Even though it can be used to be aggressive and heal yourself and your teammate up. Great to sustain your lane longer when you are ganked couple of times.

Always handy to get the kill for when they flash out of your range. Due to Sivir's lack of burst damage, people intent to stay and fight you for quite a while before backing out. Using Ignite will ensure beginner players of a kill. Later on they will embrace other methods of ensuring their outcome.

Actually don’t want to mention the don’t takes, since the rest of the picks are either more than obvious or just not tactically needed in Sivir's case. Not saying they aren’t viable. Just not meant for her role as pusher.

GENERAL USAGE
After her remake, it no longer grant you dodge chance on basic attacks while Sivir is moving. Instead RIOT made her passive in a way that she can be more effective early game. Now it will increase your speed by 50 for 2 seconds every time you hit an enemy champion with basic attacks. Meaning as soon you have an upper hand situation, chase down the enemy back to their turret (If they make it back that is...)

CHASE MODE
Best way to use it is to start attacking from brushes while being at a range smaller than 400. So you can hit the champion again the moment your auto attack resets. In between you move Sivir in the direction they are escaping (or will escape...)

KITE MODE
Another way of using this is to kite them. e.g. Tryndamere sub level 6 can't do anything to you if you hit / run back / hit / run back. The increase of speed makes you stay at max range if he starts to chase you. When he backs out, use flash and perform the above method.

If you prefer to play more aggressively. Take Q - W - Q - E first or Q - W - E - Q.
This allows you to take early domination in your lane. Very good vs some champions. So watch your laning opponents carefully and choose your sequence accordingly.

Her Boomerang Blade spell, a.k.a. mana suckage. Be careful when using this spells! It can clear out minion waves fast and get last hit on 2 or 3 of them per use. But it uses mana ALOT. Especially when leveling this baby up to level 4 or 5, it starts to use 90-110 mana. Try to hit them directly and on its way back for maximum damage. Considered to be the most damaging spell in the game at level 9, when used properly. See below the table of damage output.

This spell has been remade. Instead of increasing its bounce amount at every level up. It now has a cooldown of 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 seconds instead of being a passive on your auto attack.
What does this mean compare to the pre-remade Sivir. You are LESS effective during a mass amount of minions bashing your towers / base. BUT! You are MORE effective dealing burst damage, due to its 5 bounce even on level 1 and its additional ability damage per level up. (+80 at level 5)
Little Pro-tip... When chasing an enemy but failing to deal the final blow, try to hit the next minion wave (3rd or 4th minion). Ricochet will bounce forward and might catch up and delivers the final hit!

This spell tells you when a Sivir player is Pro or not. Simply blocking a spell isn't rocket science. But since there are more than 100 different champions with all different abilities and effects. It’s only the master of Sivir that knows what spell is viable to block or not. The use of this spell determines the outcome of a fight mano-a-mano. On successful block you gain 150 mana back. Nice, but when people know this they can fake an attack and let you use Spell Shield for nothing. Losing those 75 mana will drain you if you aren't careful!
Good to use when a team fight initiates, when escaping, when tower diving or when you backdoor / push the turret. A gank from the woods will be lethal and Spell Shield will just be enough to let you take down the turret before you die.

Sivir's primary role is determined by her ultimate. Boosting up her own attack speed INSANELY as well as any allied minion / champion by halve of that. Plus a movement speed increased for all allies within or moving within range by 20%.
A full use of her ultimate can take a turret down from full to none in early - mid game. In some late game situations even an entire base down to sunder within those precious 10 seconds.
Using this to initiate with your minion wave just before getting in turret range will guarantee you to take it down and run off while still active for a few seconds. This makes you be safe before the ganking party arrives.
Also to be used after a few seconds of an initiated team fight, since most fights starts by spamming abilities, On The Hunt only provides auto attacks. Or just to give a leading allied Champion the extra movement speed to catch an escaping enemy.

Core build

What’s a core build?
A core build is a set of items you NEED to buy in order to fulfill your role as the chosen champion and play style. These items are the only items you will buy in a normal smooth game. Sometimes you won’t even be able to purchase them all, simply of the fact the enemies surrendered after 20 minutes.
Here I shall explain to you the core build of Sivir as her main role to push towers. The faster you take them out the harder it will be for your enemies to grow stronger and the more dangerous it will for them to push back. This fact makes you have more control over the map, meaning a higher chance to achieve victory!

This is where things begin, determine your lane and with who you are laning. Either solo mid or side lane. Communication is key here! If someone wants mid, just let them take it. You are more safe with a teammate and can easy get a kill, if your lane mate got a stun. But if you truly want to dominate the game, mid is your place. An experienced Sivir should get mid over any other champion. This way you can get to level 18 while others just got level 13-14 (top/bot) or 16 (mid)

It gives you considerable amount of HP on Sivir. A small life steal. Nothing fancy but adds up over time. And +10 AD. Now this is way more than 10% output increase which makes you last hit minions with more ease. Squeezing in a couple of hits here and there with or without Ricochet will set the enemy back without using your Boomerang Blade.

If you are not familiar playing Sivir or just new to LoL. Get to know how she moves, her attack animations, range etc... This is a good item to start out with. Once you feel confident enough to let go the extra mana regen and rely more on last hitting minions instead of harassing with that Boomerang Blade. Then it’s time for you to get Doran's Blade to start out with.

Why not starting with a Vampiric Scepter?
You may have nice life steal %, the fact you barely doing damage will result in a small HP return per hit. Plus the enemy will be like... "So you are near full hp... you are just tickling me. I’m not going to back out for you". So its an okay item, just not the right time to get one.
Secondly, you don't want to be auto-attacking to push your lane, leaving you vulnerable to ganks from the jungle. Focus on last hitting only as much possible does not synergize with Vampiric Scepter

If your laning goes smooth and you don't need to recall, don't… but when you do, fashion yourself up with a pair of Berserker's Greaves Or else make a quick recall and settle for Boots of Speed until you have enough gold for an upgrade. It speeds you up as well as giving you more DPS.
Sometimes when laning is rough a 2nd Doran's Blade first is a way to turn the tide. After that continue with getting boots upgrades.

When you have the boots and are a few levels higher, getting a Vampiric Scepter will serve you right at this time in game. Giving you a somewhat noticeable hp return per hit.

Keep killing minions with your Boomerang Blade. With the regen you have that shouldn't be a problem. Play defensive and just get the gold. When you have enough money you can call back and get Ninja Tabi plus some extra mana with Sapphire Crystal before upgrading to Tear of the Goddess in the early / mid game.


If things go rough and you get blocked from last hitting, just let the wave go to your tower and try to last hit the minion that your tower is attacking. Start out with Boots of Speed if necessary and upgrade it later to Ninja Tabi and Sapphire Crystal






Laning phase is somewhat unstable and people starts to gank / jungle more often. This is where you should be careful pushing turrets. They starting to toss out their ultimates / flashes and other tricks to get a lane cleared from you. Monitor the behavior of your enemy. If they appear to be doing different things, be warned there might be a gank upcoming. If they needlessly backing out or "luring you" there might be another in the brush waiting for you to fall for it! This require experience to notice.

Now it's time to get some serious damage output. Last hitting minions like before, maybe with a little more harassment with Ricochet. This might just make the enemy back off and miss out vital gold. Giving you this advantage early game only results in a fed mid game!! When you do it like this start with the B. F. Sword, which unfortunately has no sub items to upgrade to.

When things go rough it's a pain for you... due to no sub items upgrading to a B. F. Sword, its wise to start out with an other item : Pickaxe for only a bit more then halve the gold. Not recommended but sometimes choices aren't fair... OR push aggressively with your Boomerang Blade and stay on the safe side. This makes you sure to get kills from a longer range. Go back as soon you can afford : B. F. Sword

Keep hording up those minions on your account with your Boomerang Blade With the amount of mana having right now, you should be able to buy a Tear of the Goddess quite fast. Call back as soon you can afford it so you can start increasing your mana, due to it's passive effect, by using auto attacks and abilities!
Keep farming like this until you you're able to get Catalyst the Protector This ups your mana and HP to surive better, plus now you gain considerable HP and Mana back as you level. It's like a built-in potion.

In this stage of the match people will most likely try to kill you more often. A face 2 face fight can happen and you really want to win! because losing a fight might also mean losing your lane... thus your tower. Racking up those waves and keep them away from your tower.
Buy a The Bloodthirster for those 1 vs 1 moments. This weapon makes a difference!! With her fast pace farming they won't win.

After this you might want to build towards an Infinity Edge, starting with a Pickaxe. Depending on your game flow in previous stages in the game, buy accordingly towards finishing The Bloodthirster and Pickaxe

While you increase your mana per auto attack and ability use, regaining hp and mana per level up. It's now time to get more damage!! Manamune reflects its damage output towards the total amount of mana you have.

Time to aim for their towers with your team. Slowly poking hits on their towers make them angry. You should no doubt be attacked in some way. Therefore we take precautions by grabbing some resistance towards magical abilities. A Negatron Cloak is a great addition!
Together with your Catalyst the Protector will later be a sweet upgrade. (read next stage for more)

Why not get Zeal >>> Phantom Dancer first?
Many out there starts with this combo. To make your core build be overall effective, this item should not be bought this early in the game. Like the scepter to start with, good item, just not the right time. But why? Let’s sum up the plus and minus.

+ Huge crit chance
+ Small run speed bonus

In the mid game we focus on boosting up your DPS. This helps you in team fight, taking down towers and visit some red / blue buff camps. And I don't need to tell you that waves of minions now virtually die with 1 Boomerang Blade and a well placed Ricochet.

Buying gradually to the end items Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer, enemies will have no way of being a step ahead of you. Farm and buy starting out with another B.F. Sword. With On The Hunt that AD will turn to get ugly for the enemies.

After a bit, we crank up the attack speed. With Zeal we get a nice deal for out gold. Adding Attack speed, we also getting crit chance to make Sivir's initial hits count for 2 AND... 8% movement speed for getting on the spot faster.

Team fights starts to break out! What to do? Well, at first, don't panic! We are going to play defensive behind the front line. Let your tank do the initiatives, while you keep poking them with your Boomerang Blade. Slowly taking down their HP will ensure you not to get jumped so swiftly.

Upgrading 2 of your items into a Banshee's Veil will give you a 2nd Spell Shield every 30 seconds after you got hit by an ability. Good for when you accidently miss-clicked or someone jumped you from the brush.

Secondly we start out with Vampiric Scepter A low life steal will overtime fill your hp bar with green color. Play defensively and you have no problem staying near the battle.

Now it is time to make a your move. The time in the match to step ahead of the others. Purchasing your Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer will certainly turn team fights into your teams account.
Even though there are skeptic opinions about crit items benefiting Sivir due to the mechanism of critical hits applying to ONLY the initial hit, the overall damage output will still be greater than having another The Bloodthirster.
However the life steal is lower, so we may have to give the latter another spot in your inventory discussed in the next chapter.

Little girls become big. Hence a The Bloodthirster will fall right worthy into the hands of Sivir at this point in game. Increasing your damage output with every kill, you no doubtingly can survive a vast amount of offenses.
Gather your team and pick a lane, because Sivir is here to make short terms of those towers! Don't forget to ask your team for a quick assist for red buff.
Now you are equipped with Mana, regen, HP, double shield, life steal and a whole lot of AD to HIT LIKE SHE MEANS IS!

Now that we are now out of the early and mid-game, the match should be over. At this point you have your core items to put Sivir in a very nice overall damage dealer. High base damage for turrets making her dps in conjunction with On The Hunt beastly. And those armor reduction and life steal makes a strong addition of taking a team fight in your favor. Plus you life steal so much that Thornmail won’t hurt you that much anymore.

The following items are to be planned depending the enemy team setup / skills and tower awareness!!! Sometimes I fight good teams but they lack attending their tower defense. Perfect for Sivir to get even stronger and push those lanes / teleport and push another while your team pushes the 3rd.

In the next chapter you will have to pick what path you want to follow, based on the flow of the match.

To summarize your role now is simple.
  • You dominate anything at this point, BUT please don’t get cocky…
  • You are still squishy so push when they aren’t looking
  • Let your tank initiate
  • Bring CC friends
  • Don’t buy front row tickets in team fights
  • Use your current build wisely and no enemy can retaliate

Path builds (choose one)

In my experience the game should be over by now. Either by a Victory or Defeat. But in some cases you will find yourself a game where both teams are determined to win and keep the odds equal. In this chapter I will explain what you should do with your last 2 item slots based on the flow of the match. Once you have possession of your core items and the game does not seem to be over, you want to know what to spend your gold on. Below here show you some of the possible item combinations you should pick.

When
Matches where nothing special happens and both teams are equally skilled, but just takes longer then the average game. Your way of obtaining objectives, team fights, lane control are going just fine, but it just ends up being a tie. Suit yourself up for a large variety of possible strategies, since there is still no way how to pin them down.

Why
Your core items will make you deal the essential dps to deal with their squishies, pushing lanes. But you can only do that once you broke through their defences. Tanks / Bruisers are the most common standing in your way. These will be packed with armor and hit points. Last Whisper is the item that will deal with any armored foe with great potential.
While Guardian Angel will protect you from those AOE abilities as well as any enemy having their eyes on taking you down first. Also once the fight is over and you managed to ACE the enemy team. You want to be the one alive making good use of it instead of your tank or AP carry. So you can push a lane and take down a turret or inhibitor.




So matches aren't always the same, we know.
So matches doesn’t go as you like them to go, we know.
So some enemies aren’t your daily cup of tea.

Guess what?

We know!

Blindly following the "standard" items sometimes isn't enough and counter measures need to be made. Here I will describe some paths that you can choose from to ensure the odds to be on your side.

Sivir, who is that? Yes many don’t like her, many don’t play her, many don’t like her role and find her useless. But there are those that knows damn well what she is made of. To those few the path of the Survivor is the way to go.
Boosting your longevity in fights and pushing towers while someone ganks without dying in a few seconds. Choose this path when you are on the losing edge and need to counter attack their strategy.



When
Pick one of these items (or both) if the enemy team has many AD aligned champs and have their eyes focussed on you. Thornmail is cheap and will deal more dmg once you get hit then an expensive AD item. Randuin's Omen will shut down their dps, by lowering their attack speed and movement speed upon getting hit. Also adding tons of hit points to survive an extra hit or 2.

Why
These items are cheap and can counter their offenses. A fully decked Tryndamere or Master Yi can crit you easily for 600-700 dmg. Now that number is reduced significantly. Also 30% of their dps will be returned on themselves. So basically you survive a few seconds longer, while they die a few seconds faster. With such opponents you deal more damage this way then you would have been doing building up halve the AD item (which in most cases are more expensive).




When
Pick one or both of them when the enemy team has many AP aligned champions. Champions like Veigar, Amumu can stun a large area that may include you. Or tossing out tons of AOE damage like Ziggs or Karthus. You want to be able to handle some of these flying around deadzones and still manage to pack a punch.

Why
Both of them provides quite high amounts of AD as well as an above average amount of MR. The AD perfectly synergyzes with Sivir's On The Hunt. While Maw of Malmortius adds an indirect 400 hp shield and AD depending on your remaining hp, Mercurial Scimitar cleanses you from any CC and counters champs with an AOE stun or slow.




When
Sometimes your team simply lacks the ability to pin them down. After every team fight they snipe one of your team members and run off. While Randuin's Omen slows down their offenses and increases your survivability. The Frozen Mallet will ensure they are not getting away unpunished! Not the largest amount of dps, but once they are caught with the effect of slow they can only survive by getting help or flash over the walls.

Why
There is nothing more annoying then a team that can't keep themselves alive due to the fact of lacking CC. Sivir doesn't come with any CC and relying on her ult alone isn't good enough. This way you can at least take an extra one or two down. Had plenty of matches with tons of damage in general, just no power to keep them in place.

You can't defend endlessly and in the late game everyone is decked out. So focus on how the game is won. Games are won by taking their Nexus, Nexus is taken down by destroying their towers.

When
Taking pure AD items is only ideal when you are not bothered with enemy champions. Make sure you have enough time to drill through their base. Also have a team member place a ward next to their base. Sometimes when you have a teleporting teammate, ask them to join your strike. This build should be made if your team can handle a push and defend as good as possible. Keep in mind that the enemy will respond to this and is calling back in no time. So have the remaining of your team ready to interrupt any recalls!

Why
These items will deal pure damage to structure. Crits and other effect won't work on them. AD in combination with Sivir's ult will deal insane dps. One well places teleport makes you drill towers so fast that you can finish it all by yourself. Just hit a few enemy minions to lifesteal hp back and keep on going! Taking down towers in matter of 5 seconds and inhibitors along with it as bonus, plus gets you out of the danger zone as the cherry on top.
Also with Shen / Pantheon / Twisted Fate ult. can make you even backdoor the rest in a blink of an eye so the enemy is forced to retreat or lose. While on the retreat your team can chase them / slow them, giving the backdoor team enough time to Finish the Nexus.

A few notes of advice


League of Legends has a dynamic game play. Adjust accordingly to what happens. No game is the same. Enemies aren't bots, they are unpredictable. The best way is to have experience which will grow over time. Don't expect to win just because you picked the items accordingly. It's a game of action and reaction. A combo of chance and skill. If they see you building offenses, expect to be shut down. It's like one big game of rock, paper and scissors. One strategy counters the other.
Expect the unexpected and always be one step ahead. One simple missclick or minor decision can make the difference between winning or losing.

Choose wisely summoner and grow stronger every game. Learn as much you can even if you face a rough start, harsh progression or even an enevitable defeat.

Primary role (GO or not?)

Every champion has its own unique role. Either being the tank / initiator, ganker, jungler, map awareness, pusher, carry, you name it. Sivir's role is PUSH and take down turrets. Sounds like child's play, but executing it correctly require some experience and skill. The timing on when you should GO or NOT is the question. Here I lay down some examples on when to GO and NOT.

GO

  • Teleport up?
    Always notify your team on your Teleport timer. It makes them organize a "fake" push to draw enemy champions to their location at the time your Teleport is ready to be used. A good team will bait, lure, provoke or threatening them to take down a turret.
    This also works if they pushing you. Let your team defend (not initiate a team fight) poke them with range attacks to drop down their HP a little.
  • Where are my enemies?
    You have either visual confirmation of all enemy champions or they are dead with quite enough deathtime left for you to take the tower.
  • Minions nearby?
    Do you have a lane where your minions are about to reach their turret? If not they will be notified of your attempt long before you can commence the takedown. To increase your chances you should always keep your lanes pushed as far as safety allows you.
  • Is my ultimate up?
    Without it makes it a lot harder to take down turrets as well getting your squishy *** back to safety.

When meeting all the requirement, you can initiate operation takedown.
  1. Step outside visual range so enemies do not see you using your Teleport.
  2. Teleport to a lane where minions are nearing their turret.
  3. Use Ricochet on the 1st minion in the upcoming waves if you still need a little way to go before reaching their turret. And use Boomerang Blade to clear out the entire wave without standing still.
  4. Final check on enemies to determine your safety timer (time you have left before they can gank you)
  5. When still acceptable time is left, activate On The Hunt just before the minion wave enters the tower's range.
  6. When you sense an enemy is missing from the field and might be coming for you. Either take the turret down and suffer a death or run for it if you think you cannot take it down in time.
  7. Activate your Spell Shield in case they start out with a stun (like Ashe or Evelynn e.g.)
  8. Try to position yourself away from the jungle so you have more reaction time for when they popping out of the jungle.
  9. When the turret is down, RUN! If they ganked you and you cannot survive a run, FIGHT! Take down as much HP as possible. You might even take them out as well.
    (Recorded game with such moment --> Loss game, took a turret down while being ganked by Ashe and Akali, took them both down along with me.)
  10. Run to a brush, call home and go shop. And simply kill time before Teleport is back up.

NOT
  • When no enemies are visible
  • When your lanes nearing your own turret. Pushing will take too long to stay unnoticed
  • Low on HP unless you have good life steal
  • Enemies have their Teleport spell or ability ready to use.
  • Your team simply cannot handle a team fight (even plain defending and let you push)

If you still go... prepare to be flamed, cussed at, learn all form of noobism and get killed without a chance of not even reaching the turret or barely damage it.

Spell Shield Block List

Some changes have been made in this chapter.
- A new color has been introduced to indicate another form of priority. Mainly the Green and Yellow are spread among blue / green / yellow. Blue as being a truely free mana on choice e.g. Caitlyn's traps.
- Large pieces of text have been removed due to a high variety of gameplay, so its back to essential basics. Missing text underneath the spell will fill out overtime.

  • GREEN : Almost free mana spells, these are baitable, skills shots so you can also simply avoid it by walking another direction.
  • YELLOW : These are locked on, easy/decent reactable spells but only deal damage.
  • ORANGE : Hard to block spell since it near to insta-hit, can be used to fake an attack so Sivir will use her SS for nothing. Require skilled timing/anticipation to block it.
  • RED : Should be BLOCKED at all times. Either due sick damage or a start of a deadly combo (e.g. stun or taunt)
  • WHITE : UNBLOCKABLE, just try to avoid it or Tank & Spank.

Conclusion

To close this guide, I'd like to thank all of you for your attention and patience reading this extensive guide. I hope it brought Sivir back to light and that more of you consider her a viable pick and not pre-emptively call it a loss game just because someone choose Sivir. (Right Dr. Mundo? We won eventually.

  • Chapter Sivir vs champ X has been Renamed to Spell Shield Block List; due to the variety of play styles one can't write down what to do against a certain champ, because it's not always the case if the other knows Sivir. So its been remade to just a block list.
  • Spell Shield Quickchart added for you to download to bring back the memories of all the RPG games with a quickchart of all the bosses and weapons one can look at it for hours :)
  • Few new screenshots added from players
