Just a heads-up: your second Presence of Mind description is still outdated. Also personally I feel like the 500 mana isn't valuable enough to go into Precision for so you could probably remove that page from your cheatsheet.

Also your Irelia matchup is outside the spoiler, just noticed that.

Hi!

yesss I love doing that build if I want to be a supportive mid laner!! One thing I would recommend is taking aery if you want to be even more supportive, since it will make the person you're shielding have a stronger shield! And for secondary runes, I'd recommend maybe swapping out stopwatch if you don't plan on getting Zhonyas in your build! The one time stasis is good, but that rune is so good because it makes Zhonya's cheaper and reduces it's cooldown! Otherwise, yesss it's really fun! Lux and Karma are both really good mid laners that can be supportive as well and can proc ardent on many teammates in fights!!

Hey! Do you think you could add on how to lane against a pyke mid? Its kind of one of those things where its like... should I take heal to help counter that pesky ult of his? Or just barrier as soon as he goes all in on me with W

Hey! Sorry for a bit of a late answer, been super busy with school. He's definitely a niche mid pick but it's growing more popular, I'll be sure to add him in my matchup section hopefully by tomorrow!! The biggest thing about Pyke is realizing his weaknesses! His first weakness is that if you're creating pressure, he doesn't have the waveclear necessary in the lane. Having him use his spells to farm is the most important thing, because then he has to choose between using them on you and missing farm, or using them on the wave and then his spells being on cooldown. Note that early boots is important in this matchup since once you dodge his Q, you're safe for a bit. I also recommend barrier or even cleanse if they have a lot of CC (their jung has CC too)! But the idea is that yes, you want to barrier when he uses his spells BEFORE he ults. if he can't get your health down to a certain percentage, his ult wont execute you! Lastly, having Zhonyas to statis his ultimate if you're low and he ults you is key, since his ult wont reset! A lot of his damage does come from his ultimate, especially in teamfights, so being sure to stop that is important!

on top of all of that, this guide has improved my gameplay with her in total. that's something i'd never expect considering i don't have room for improvement

Congrats on winning a spot in the guide contest! However, I just noticed your matchups are slightly out of alphabetical order (J comes before I). This ruins my immersion and must be fixed. >:P

Also if you want to get 'P' in there you could add the new Pantheon! >:)

In the Detailed Matchups Cection under VXYZ, I have both a Yasuo and Zed counter matchup. If you have any more questions that those didn't cover, feel free to ask! Hope this helped and let me know if you need any more help :)

LuxTheGreyWarden (45) | February 24, 2019 10:21pm
Hey,

Thank you! She definitely can, you just need to focus on what you need to do. The biggest thing about Lux is that if you can't get the pressure mid lane because it's a hard counter (fizz post 6, lb, etc), your main objective should be farming. If you go 0-0-0 in lane or even 0-1-0 in lane but you have a CS advantage, you will still average out and have the gold in order to build items to do damage. With that being said, definitely don't greed for farm. If you're missing a minion or two because they're pressuring you, just give it up because that ~36 gold is NOT worth giving the mid laner a kill and a chance to snowball. Just focus on what you need to do and remember that Lux is a good teamfight champion. She is able to do a possible LOT of AOE burst if you get a good E/R on a lot of them, or she is able to blow someone up with her combo, and she also has a utility shield/CC that really helps, even if she's a little behind. The biggest thing is to make sure you get that gold generation going through farming and possible kills/assists (it's pretty easy to get assists on Lux since you can R from far away to help out a fight or shield your allies for that juicy assist), and always do your best to kill or at least blow up/knock out a carry or two out of teamfights so you win teamfights and gain even more objectives and objectives.
In hard lanes, depending on who I'm against, I like to just farm up and try to put pressure on the map elsewhere if possible, like getting my ADC ahead bot lane or even scoring kills of my own bot or top in order to be more of a threat for the enemies. Just remember not to leave a lane to possibly help your teammates and lose 2+ waves, it's not worth it in the end.

Hope this all made sense and let me know if you have any more questions or need any further explanation on what I said :)

Hey, really enjoyed the guide. Is Lux support not too hurt by her mana issues? Her E is really the kind of spell you want to spam to proc Frostfang but the mana cost is comparable to a Xerath Q and Lux doen't have Xerath's passive, so her poke can be heavily limited by mana problems. Is Frostfang still worth it, or is Ancient Coin maybe a good alternative since you're sure to get the full value from the gold generation?

Hey,

I think the general rule for both of these items are the matchups. Frostfang is always 100% better when you have someone like Caitlyn and you can try to poke and knock the enemies out of lane because you will be procing frost fang a lot, aka more gold (it's even better if they have a melee support because you and a caitlyn can abuse your range and you can just auto the melee support to death and get gold without using your mana!). However, there could be some lanes where you may not land very many spells or will have a weak ADC and won't be able to get the gold generation you want from frostfang (ex: if you have a twitch and they have a sivir who is just going to push you guys to tower all game and can spellshield your E aka no goldand not much poking potential) because coin does have the capability of getting a lot more gold generation if you can't proc frostfang a lot.

As far as mana goes, you should be ok on mana in most cases as any other champ with either support item. With frostfang, you want to make sure you're not just spamming your spells in order to get the gold generation or else you will run out of mana really fast. You want to be able to Q>auto>E>auto (or Q>E>auto>pop E>auto) in lane pre-6 in order to get a ton of damage off and get all your procs. If you throw an E out every time it's up and miss half of them, you're wasting your mana and spells, and that tends to also really mess up the wave as well.
I do take frostfang in most cases though, just because Lux can pressure a lane pretty well, despite her squishiness, because she has range and decent damage, but if you're more comfortable with coin or maybe you are new to Lux/are learning her and don't know when to auto and proc the gold generation item, coin is a good alternative.

Hope this helps and let me know if I need to clarify anything further or if you need help with anything else :)
